I have been waiting for this story since Maddox's appearance in Shadows, two books ago. I think Suzanne writes palpable chemistry between couples masterfully, and Raini and Maddox had that from their first meeting, too. Also, both their characters were introduced in a way that one can only be curious about them - Raini took part in all of the books, but there were enough hints and many questions left open about her, why she is the way she is. And there is Maddox, who was basically a mystery on two legs, as nobody seemed to know what he is and what he is capable of exactly, or even if he is a bad or a good guy.

Well, after reading their story, I would say he is a good guy with bad streaks. Either way, he is definitely powerful and strong, and has some arrogance with it. Also, he is possessive and protective and quite frankly hot as hell. Fortunately for her - and us, readers, Raini can be his equal in many ways. In my opinion they are a great (power) couple together.

Not much can be said without spoilers, as they both have big secrets with good reasons, they have some toxic family members as well, and the majority of the plot is based upon these. But I have to mention I really liked that we have met new characters, in Maddox's lair and also Raini's family, some of them are very likeable and I wonder if they will have roles later, too.
But, as most of the action happened with them, we spent less time with the others we have known from the start. For example it seemed like we had less of the girls' time in this book with Harper, Devon and Khloe, and also of Knox and his sentinels. I really like those relationships, so it was a pity, but I can understand the reason.

I kind of wish we had more books with Maddox and Raini as the MC, as then there would be more time to explore their personality individually, their bond(s) with each other and the relations with others. It feels like a lot has happened in one book and there are conflicts, events and changes that could deserve more pages, but all in all, it was a great addition to the series. I only wish we had more of it.

Lastly, a warning: the whole Dark in You series is very... passionful, to say, it is definitely for adults only, and this book is not an exception, so be mindful of that.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley.

This book certainly doesn't disappoint. Strong female lead, alpha male and lots of little side plots ongoing. It's also fun to catch up with characters you've read about previously and to see possible future romances with the other cast of characters

As always, Suzanne Wright delivers! I never mind waiting a year between books in her series, because when we finally get them they are always, as ever, stellar. Fallen, as with all her others, has well-rounded characters, and a great suspenseful plot. I've been intrigued by both Raini and Maddox since we first met Raini and then learned that Maddox was her mate. I had assumed they would wind up together and that the journey there would make for a great story and I wasn't wrong.

Fallen is another hit by Suzzane Write. The characters are interesting and unique. I would recommend this book but suggest you start with the first I’m the series as it is not a stand alone.

This book was absolutely amazing! Kept me on the edge of my seat and the romance scenes were wonderful and passionate. I loved the back and firth of Rainey and Maddox's demonstrated. Great plot and loved the bad guys. Awesome work as always Ms. Wright.

4.25 stars

Any day that I can devour a Suzanne Wright book, is a good day. Now, I have read every single book that is available by that beautiful woman and own probably about 80-85% of them as well as the audio versions AND listen to all her series on the regular... So, my review might be colored just a bit with fangirling glee, but, eh... I find that I'm ok with that.

I have been waiting ever so patiently for Raini and Maddox's book and I can say without a doubt it is one of my favs. Fallen is absolutely a continuation of the previous book Omens. If you haven't read that or the Dark in You series in sequential order, you should stop now and do that, because you are missing quite a bit of demon fabulousness.

Can I just say that I love the little twist on Maddox's breed, the descendents? And whoa boy, do I want to read more about Viper and his merry band of badasses. But that's not to say that I don't also love that Raini has quite the little secret powers as well. All of Harper's girls have quite the kickass punch when it comes to their demon powers, and I just love every bit of it. Although I do wish we got a bit more of Raini's succubus powers (like how we got with Keenan) BUT, seeing as Maddox is immune, I guess that couldn't really work too well.

Maddox is such a powerhouse that I find myself really wanting to see who would really win between Knox and Maddox. Oh, Oh, and also Viper. Gosh, he was just a flirty little enigma, I can hardly stand it.

Regardless of my Maddox fangirling. Maddox and Raini were fire together. I loved how much his demon came out to play. Heh. It was really hot. Did I mention this book was one of my favs? 'Cuz it is and I can't wait until my bank balance allows for me to get the audiobook.

The overall story was great. We got more about the origins of the Fallen, descendents, and even angels. I loved their insular nature and how they used that to their advantage in their financial endeavors. See, how I'm layering the mystery?

Honestly, this was a great continuation of the Dark in You series. I'm sad that any books circulating around Haper's girls, specifically, are done (well, as far as SW has posted her future book plans). I am really looking forward to Levi's story. I'm not gonna lie, I have been intrigued by his character since Burn.

Raini and Maddox story is amazing. Maddox t is maybe the only hero in the series, so far, that can give Knox a run for his money. The story is captivating, fun, sexy and swoony, all in one. Can't wait for the next one.

Suzanne Wright has become a one quick author for me!!! This book was another great installment in this series and I'm looking forward to the new series this book seemed to hint at.

Rating: 5 stars!

Suzanne Wright NEVER disappoints! This book was everything I wanted AND MORE.

Raini and Maddox were teased to us in book 6, Omens, and I have been WAITING for them and they were seriously everything.

I was nervous that Maddox would end up being a carbon copy of Knox but holy crap. They are different. Sure they're both Primes, hot, will do anything for their lairs, and extremely powerful but that's where the similarities end.

Maddox is not emotionally unavailable and for *reasons* he can't form the anchor bond with Raini but that does not stop him from wanting the best for her. I love him.

Raini has, of course, been here from the beginning but we don't actually know much about her. Well, this book shows us everything and wow I just love her. She's been a mystery to me the entire series and I'm so glad we finally got to know her!

This book was amazing and does the series justice!

Suzanne Wright never disappoints. She is my one-click author and with every new release, I read her books with stars in my eyes. Fallen is the seventh book in the Dark in You series. This paranormal romance series is getting better and better. The author knows how to engage a reader’s attention with unordinary plots, entertaining heroes (the main and supportive ones), and sizzling hot chemistry.

Maddox and Raini’s story met my expectations and so much more. How their relationship developed, the sass, banter, possessive and protective behaviors, and dose of heated touches. There is no dull moment in the Fallen and I am a little sad I read this book so fast.

I like how the author broadens this world and gives something new to blush, laugh at, discover, and anticipate. I can’t wait to come back to the Dark in You series.

I don’t think I’ve read a Suzanne Wright book I didn’t love and wasn’t complaining addicted to from beginning to end, and still love all the characters after. Fallen is just another example, a spin-off of the dark in you series this time it’s Raini’s turn to shine, also I don’t think I could character as much as Knox or Levi (desperate for his book) but Maddox, he definitely proved me wrong , ruthless, dominant and possessive, the chemistry was wonderful, the story fast paced, full of humour but also quite dark at points. I love how well Suzanne balances everything. If you’ve read the dark in you series you will want to read this, if you haven’t go read it, or any book by Suzanne Wright, you will definitely enjoy them and be hooked.

Absolutely Loved it.....was waiting for it for a long time and it definitely didn't disappoint. Now I can't wait for Levi's story( its a vicious cycle :P ) and Larkin's story now that we know its with Teague :) .Raini and Maddox together were awesome, Raini's Dad was definitely a character :) , its always great to revisit other cool characters also who we love and adore ( the usual suspects :) ) and see what they have been up to :P
To sum it all up "I can't stop thinking about this world"...Guess its time to read Novel 1 again :P

5* addition to the Dark in You series!

This is just a work of art, the characters are complex and well developed. Khloe makes you laugh, Maddox is the perfect counterpart to Rainey, I can't wait to read about Levi and his anchor and Larkin with Teague.

It's the happily ever after that you pictured for Rainey.

Many would think that Raini was the quite one of the group. As a succubae we thought that all her powers were all sex oriented this is not true she is one powerful girl, do not test her at your peril.

We meet her anchor in the previous book Maddox Quentin is a powerful descendant a mixture of demon and fallen angel. Powerful and cold not the sort of mate or anchor you would have expected for our girl but the fates are never wrong.

There is so much to their story. It a joy to read, so well written and plotted it flows from one scene to the next with heart stopping speed.

A great addition to the dark in you series

Another great story in The Dark In You series. I've been looking forward to this couple since Maddox was first introduced. He turned out to be such a great hero: ruthless, dominant, jealous, and possessive. I also enjoyed the addition of a new type of demon to the series. Raini was fantastic as well, and I really enjoyed the fact that she had a hidden talent.

I'm hoping that the newly introduced fallen angels who formed an MC will get a series, too.

The Descendants have secrets and Maddox’s anchor not being one of their Breed is a threat to those secrets. This keeps him from sealing the deal on their anchor bond but that won’t stop him from being a part of her life. Raini has her own secrets to keep but she would still have accepted the anchor bond. On top of that, they are both of them are being hit from all sides by enemies.

Raini is no pushover and while Maddox is powerful, he might not be a match for her. She hides her strength behind a deceptively innocent facade.

I am so glad that I came across this series. It is one of my go-to reads.

I really love the entire Dark in You series and Fallen is no exception to that rule! Raini and Maddox make for a wonderful, messed up, but perfect combination that I absolutely loved. Wright has a great writing style. I never get bored with her writing or the stories/worlds she has created. Would definitely recommend this book and the rest of the dark in you series.

Okay i have been waiting on Lainey’s book. She is a Succubus after all. She is one of my favorite characters and i think the Descendants are going to be a fun ride. Maddox was an enigma and i think we have only seen just a taste of the Descendants powers. Lainey and Maddox were hot as hades together-whew! This world that SW has created us only getting better, Also it was good to catch up with the rest of the crew . I love this book!

This book was exactly what I needed, and a brilliant addition to this series!!

I've been curious about Raini since the beginning, always wondering what her story is and what she might be hiding, as I knew there was more to her than what we were seeing.
As soon as we met Maddox, I knew things were about to get interesting - and I was not disappointed!!

These characters were great as individuals, and even better together. Great banter and hot chemistry!
They were both strong in their own way, and neither were annoying or too stubborn in their interactions - Raini wasn't afraid to stand up to Maddox when needed, and he knew (and cared about) what mattered to Raini and knew when not to push things.

Loved that we got to know even more awesome side characters, and I can't wait for the next book in this series.
