This is such an intense, fast paced story. I absolutely love this series. Suzanne Wright is my favourite author in the shifter/demon genre. Each story is packed full of dominant alpha males and strong, smart, sassy women.

This story has it all, snarky banter, red hot heat, an engaging storyline that keeps you obsessively turning the pages. As much as you will love the two main characters all the side characters add so much more to the story.

Maddox is quite the enigma up to this point and he’s certainly got his work cut out showing Raini just how much he wants her. Raini is a delightful character and we learn so much more about her powers and how strong she truly is. They have such intense chemistry and the back and forth between the two are some of my favourite bits of the story.

There’s so many plot twists and just when you think you know where the story is heading, bam, it changes. I really love that it keeps you on your toes.

Another great installment by Suzzane Wright. Her world-building over the last six books had made this story one I was excited to read because I knew that she would once again deliver. The new characters introduced allowed for the storyline to develop naturally whilst still including and incorporating previous main leads. The building of the female lead in the story and her development in power and character were natural and entertaining. I would recommend this book to anyone who wishes for a great plot and smut book.

This is one of the best demon stories I've ever read. Suzanne Wright is an amazing author of paranormal romance and her The Dark in You Series, in my opinion, is unparalleled. Her characters are always intriguing in every way. Starting from their personalities to their powers, nothing is ever disappointing.

In Fallen, Maddox Quentin is the Prime of a unique lair that holds many secrets. This is why he is hesitant to bond with his anchor, Raini Campbell after he finds her. However, he is not prepared to let her go. He will keep her close and protect her no matter what it takes. But how long can a dominant and possessive man like him resist the anchor bond, especially when it's ramped up with sexual tension?

Raini is not a pushover. She is powerful in her own right but lets people underestimate her. It's the only way she can protect her secrets. Emotionally, Raini tries to keep her distance from Maddox even after she gives into the heat that burns between them. He is not an easy man to handle but he respects her and knows that she is strong enough to handle herself.

When Maddox and Raini's enemies reveal themselves and come after them one by one, they will join forces to protect each other. Will this be enough incentive for them to complete their bond and maybe grow even closer? All fans of paranormal romance with great world building and fantastic characters need to read this book to find out!

All in all, this is a brilliant story. I loved it! I can't wait to read the next book in this series (which will feature Levi and his ex's sister) when it comes out!

Thank you netgalley for this early readers copy. I have been waiting for this book since Maddox was first introduced. His character was quite intriguing and mysterious. I wanted to know more about him and what's the secret he has been hiding. Raini too has her own secret to hide which was really interesting. Fallen is an amazing book by Suzanne wright. Really loved this book and waiting for Levi's story to unfold next.

I can't remember the last time I have anticipated a book as much as I have with Fallen!

I am obsessed with this series and I loved coming back to this world and see how they all are and getting glimpses of all the previous couples.

I loved Raini and Maddox together and the secrets that are hidden and revealed were so mindblowing and something I haven't seen coming which are one of my favorite things when reading a book. A twist you won't see coming is gold for me and there was a couple of these in this book.

Now Raini we all love and know, but if you haven't read any of the previous books let me give you a short description of her. Raini is the calm demon in her friend group but doesn't mistake that for her not being her own sassy, bossy, funny woman herself because Raini knows who she is and loves her life to the fullest! She is super funny and boy can she give you sass and put you in your place if you step out of line. But she doesn't mind being in the background and not draw too much attention to herself all the time which I also love.

Now pare her with Maddox that is one powerful, badass alpha male who thinks the world revolves around him and he is the king in his universe. I had a love/hate relationship with him because I love him and who he is but I wanted him to be even more. I had expected him to be even more cold, controlling, crazy, and to push Raini's buttons. Don't get me wrong he did all that but I wanted it even more with the way he and his race is described in previous books I had expected him to be darker, more selfish, and cold.

The story, the plot, and the twist in this book lived up to the series for sure! I am always amazed by how Suzanne can write something so funny, unique, and filled with suspense in one book without any of it taking over. Like you get the suspense and you end up holding your breath for what happens next and then the next minute you will be laughing because these demons and especially this friend group is hilarious.

So if you have read this series before then you have to continue with this book!
If you haven't read this series before no worries it can be read as a standalone but I will highly recommend reading the other books too but if you don't I can almost guarantee you will be so intrigued by the other people in this book you will end up going back to read the rest of the books.

I was so excited when I got an early copy of Fallen. I’ve been waiting to read Raini and Maddox’s story for what seems like forever and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Suzanne Wright is friggin amazing!

Our story starts off how the last book ended with Raini making a deal with Maddox, her anchor, in order to save Khloe’s life. I’ll be honest I didn’t know if I was gonna like Maddox at first. He was almost cold and held himself back from Raini. He refused to complete the anchor bond though he did have his reasons. But I should’ve known better than to doubt Suzanne Wright cause I came to love him. Like so many of our favorite heroes he was possessive, protective, and sexy! Those love scenes though! *waves self* While falling in love, Raini and Maddox have to deal with lair business, wanna be exes, and family drama! All I can say is read this book it won’t disappoint!!

Also it looks like Levi is gonna be up next and got to meet his anchor in this book though we don’t know much yet, I can’t freakin wait!! Suzanne, write faster please!!

I can't even put into words how much I loved this book. This was my most anticipated book of 2021, and it didn't disappoint. It was so good, I stayed awake the whole night to finish it. And, I don't regret it one bit.

As always, Suzanne Wright is an awesome storyteller, her writing abilities are just simply amazing. The way she weaves suspense into her romance is really commendable.

What I loved most in this book was definitely Raini and Maddox. After Harper and Knox they are definitely the top couple. I loved how strong Raini was and always kept Maddox on his toes. Even though Maddox tried to deny their bond, it was quite clear he was goner for Raini since the day he knew she was his ancher. He did everything in his power to ensure her safety. He genuinely cared for her.

Raini was an absolute badass. Even though she tries to appear weak, she is exactly the opposite. It was her powers in the end which resulted in the defeat of villain. I loved everything about her.

Overall, this is the type of book that stays with you a long time. I can see myself rereading it in the future.

I absolutely loved this book.
Fallen starts off just before the end of Omens the 6th book in the series. We get to see what happened when Raini went to Maddox for help to save Khloe from the death essence. Maddox at first doesn't want to claim Raini as his Psy-mate because he has secrets to protect and Raini being a succubas is weary of Maddox for awhile worried that he is only interested in her because of what kind of demon she is. If you thought Knox was J/P then you will love Maddox, Raini isn't a pushover either i really liked her personality. We got to meet alot of new characters Viper being my favourite new guy i really hope we get more of him. We also got to learn alot more about angels hopefully we get more of those guys because i have questions. Its not a dark in you book without a visit from Lou and he did not disappoint. The book ended with some spoilers for upcoming books i wont spoil them you will have to read Fallen to find out what they are.

Fallen is book 7 of this series it is recommended you read the others before this.

Another 5 star read!!

This book was more than worth the wait I loved being back in this world again and seeing how all the characters are doing.

Fallen and Maddox are fire the chemistry between these two was explosive.

Fallen's character surprised me I definitely underestimated her, She is certainly a dark horse and I enjoyed getting to know her and learn more about her.

Maddox and the other members of his lair fit in so well, I'm looking forward to learning more about them as this world grows and the series progresses.

If you are new to this series I would start at the beginning so you can see this world grow and the characters getting their HEA's you won't regret it.

I can't wait for Levi's book his is next, I will give one spoiler he has found his anchor and from the bit of info we got its gonna be epic.

Fallen was a good read. I found myself not wanting to put this book down. I ended up reading this book front to back in one sitting.
I really enjoyed this book because it was such a good read. I loved seeing Raini get the love story I thought she should get with Maddox. I loved Raini. She is a strong female with tricks up her sleeve and a big heart. Maddox is quite the hero. He is an alpha's alpha with some strong powers and a strong need to protect Raini. I loved him. These two have such strong chemistry that they steamed up my kindle. It was hot. Fallen had some twists and turns and our favorite characters. I love baby Asher. Maddox and Raini get their happy ending and I cannot wait to see what is in store for them in the future.

I’m so happy to finally get Raini’s book. Early on I was prepared to dislike Maddox. He definitely had commitment issues, with good reason, but he was hurting Raini and I had trouble forgiving that. When he finally steps up, he won me over completely. Now I need Levi’s book quickly followed by Viper’s. Three words: demon motorcycle club!!!!

Everytime I read a new addition to this series makes me feel like i'm meeting up with old friends and getting to see how and what they are up too.

And let me just say this is another fantastic read!

I loved it and tried really hard to take my time because I did not want it to end! Maddox is Protective, Possessive and Alpha in the best way possible.And my girl Raini is deadly,badass and has everyone fooled.
We have a deal, secrets, betrayal, a knife wielding father in the most random times(mostly when maddox is around),angels,A motorcycle club, khloe with a sharpie among other crazy situations that all add up to another favorite from this awesome author.❤

Another brilliant book by Suzanne Wright. I loved how this series has pivoted and different characters and story arcs have come in. Raini is an awesome FMC. It’s nice having a FMC that isn’t a stubborn risk taker for a change and I could relate to her a lot.

This is one of the best demon series out there and it just grows and grows. We have had the pleasure of meeting Maddox two books ago and wondered how such a cold ruthless demon would anchor well to Raini the lovely succubus. When she sought his help out in the previous book we all knew she had made a deal with the devil and now we find out what the deal entailed. Great storyline and as always, twists and turns and surprises along the way. Suzanne does what she does best, creates an impossibly protective alpha male with the dominant vibe, dirty talk and hotness all rolled into one delectable male. And Maddox was no exception. We see plenty of original characters but they never overwhelm the story or detract from the main couple. Raini’s dad and uncles are an absolute hoot, can’t get enough of the imps. Jolene was prominent in this book and showcased her Prime leadership and inner workings which were awesome. Cannot wait for the next instalment but safe to say one of the top 5 books this year!

#Fallen was so freaking good! Maddox was an alpha without being an a**hole. Raini is my favorite female lead from the Dark in You series.
You can read this as a stand alone, though the other books really build up to be better and better.
We were introduced to new characters that will (hopefully) get their own series!

This was everything I wanted and more.

When we were first introduced to Maddox in Devon's book, I wasn't too excited. This book didn't really address the shady dealings that he is said to do, but I still came to love his character.

The twist at the end was awesome, I wasn't expecting it. I always love it when I don't see it coming.

Raine and Maddox were adorable, I loved that Maddox was so patient, especially for an alpha male. He just took everything in stride and waited when he needed to. He never yelled, he never let himself react. Cool as a cucumber.

I also liked to see how the rest of the gang was doing and how their relationships were progressing.

I really hope that the books Suzanne has hinted at are about the MC that was introduced in this book.

Nous retrouvons Raini dans sa relation avec son ancre psychique Maddox.Contre son gré, pour sauver khloe ,elle a du consentir à plus d'interactions .Elle découvre un démon differents de ce qu'elle imaginait. Des péripéties la mettant en danger et menaçant de révéler son secret, les font se cotoyer de plus en plus.
J'ai aimé retrouver toute la fine équipe d'urban tatoo et leur conjoints.On passe un très bon moment à découvrir Raini, sa famille et ce qu'elle est. Ce que je regrette justement c'est d'avoir dû attendre jusqu'à maintenant pour la découvrir plus.De la même manière, les autres personnages perdent de leur panache dans les histoires suivantes. On les voit et ils interagissent mais pas assez à mon goût. J'aime bien le petit cailloux de la fin mais j'aurais préféré avoir une vrai scène avec, pas des propos rapportés.

Ceci dit je recommande la lecture de ce nouveau tome vous passerez un bon moment. Enjoy!

I’ve been waiting for this book for forever, and it did not disappoint. I loved getting to see all my favorite characters again. I especially loved Raini’s dad and his brothers. They definitely kept you entertained. Suzanne Wright is one of my favorite authors. Every book by her is a must read!! Can’t wait for more!

Holy Hell Fire! Was this book worth the wait? Hell yes it was! Have I found another H who is just as J/P as Knox .... again, hell yes! I thought nobody can be on par with Knox but Maddox is right up "there" for me, if not even more J/P than Knox *gasp*

I love everything about this book, everything. At first I was pissed off at Maddox for not wanting to bond with Raini but as the story unfolds, you get the reason why and I understand why he made that decision. I love Maddox's powers, so awesome and it fits perfectly with Raini's powers. I enjoyed the banter, the push and pull between these two when they were still at their early stage of their relationship. Each of them have secrets that they couldn't let the other know. However, once that's out the way I am so loved how their relationship evolved. If you know Knox's demon is possessive, I think Maddox's demon are even more so! Good grief, their sex scenes are so intensed that I need to cool myself down.

I enjoyed the secondary characters as well and I am really hoping and praying hard that SW will write a spin-off using the characters from the Black Saints MC (Viper!!!) There are no news of any new spin-offs but I can always hope.

What a satisfying read, I have such a book hangover. I believed the next book will be of Levi, truth be told I'm not sure if he can live up to Maddox but still I'm looking forward to his story.
