I‘ve been waiting for this book to be released for what feels like forever. Even though I’m a big fan of Suzanne Wright’s books, the Dark In You series for sure has a special place in my heart. Ever since Maddox has been introduced to us in „Shadows“ I have been spinning some possible storylines in my head for Raini and her anchor. But none of my fantasies compared to the real story and let me tell you something, I wasn’t disappointed at all!

The storyline:

The book pretty much continues where „Omens“ ended. Raini Campbell made a deal with her anchor Maddox Quentin to save one of her girls Khloë from a deadly disease, but of course for a certain price. As time passes the both of them start getting to know each other better, and apparently nothing is as simple as it seems at first glance. There is merely no black and white, but everything in between even in the demonic world. Each of them has their own secrets and skeletons to keep save, and neither is willing to open up to another for various reasons. But as the story continues, someone or something is starting to target Raini and her reputation, which pushes all of Maddox’s protective buttons. Both Raini and Maddox are put through enough challenges and dangerous situations to last a lifetime. All of this only pushes these two in each others arms and they start to trust and rely on each other. As the story continues, they need to gauge their possibilities and figure out if keeping each other at arms length is really worth the pain.

The characters:

On another note, one of my favourite characters from the entire series was Raini’s dad. The man had some serious problems but I loved him anyway. The level of craziness somewhat reminded me of Khloë, but since I love her dearly I was sold from the very beginning. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked Maddox personality! He sure was a demanding, controlling alpha male and a cold as freaking ice prime, but he respected and cherished Raini. And Raini herself was pretty much cool. She was a very caring and loving friend/daughter/lair-member, with chic hair and an interesting personality.

All in all, the book was one of the best in the entire Dark In You series, if not the best. Now I’ll stop and give you the chance to figure everything out on your own, by hopefully reading the book.

(This book isn’t a Standalone so I would recommend to read the previous ones in this series.)

*I‘ve received an ARC for an honest review.*

I love this series, I really do. I love the characters, the romance and the plot is always interesting. Fallen wasn't my favorite book of the series but I really enjoyed it. The book basically picks up where Omens ended, with Raini going to see Maddox in order to save Khloe and then it fast forward to 4 months later.

I liked both Raini and Maddox, I liked that Raini made smart decisions and didn't push Maddox away, I also liked how they were together and how Maddox cared for her despite not wanting the bond. The reasons for that were actually very valid and made sense to me.

I will say, I really enjoyed the fact that there weren't any misunderstandings. I loved that they actually communicated when it was needed and how things slowly came to light.

If you've read the series, you know how some characters can be OTT and sometimes a little annoying, this was the case here too. While I love this series, it can be way over the top and a little too much for me sometimes.

Fallen was a great addition to the Dark in You series, it can also be read as a standalone but if you want to truly appreciate every characters, you should really read the series in order. I'm super excited for Levi's story, especially after what we learn at the end of this book!

Highly recommend read, with an intense storyline that has twists and turns throughout. The banter between the characters are humorous and the relationship between Maddox and Raini unfolds naturally and the reader gets to slowly develop and grow attached to them. As always, Suzanne’s writing is brilliant and creates a mysterious and exciting setting for her characters. This might be one of my favourite books in this series so far, and it’s lovely to see the dynamics between Maddox and Raini.

It’s highly recommended that the Dark in You series are read in order before starting this book to better understand the interactions with recurring side characters.

Oh my good, what a great book Suzanne Wright has written. I loved to learn more about Raini and Maddox. He is so alpha male and arrogant. But at the same time is so lovely but only to her, I read this book in be sitting and couldn’t put it down. I love all of her books and she is a instant buy for me, and didn’t disappoint me this time either. I can’t wait what happens next in this series.

Raini and Maddox steaming story is finally here!!

The book starts off with Raini contacting Maddox for the first time, asking him for a favor, after weeks of ignoring his attempts at communication. He agrees but has several conditions and one of them is that they spend some time with each other so that the pull of the bond won’t become unbearable. Maddox has no intention to complete the anchor bond, even though his demon demands it.

Maddox has the perfect set up due to his conditions, he gets to have all the anchor bond benefits without having the actual bond, which Raini and her demon won’t stand for.
When attempts to hurt Raini fail but the people who are behind it are relentless,, Maddox swoops in to protect what is his.

A truly amazing story by Suzanne Wright as always. I’ve been waiting for Rainis story for what seems like forever and every minute of the wait was so worth it!
The steamy factor was off the charts. Raini and Maddox is one fierce, hot and powerful couple! This is a book you do not want to miss!

I love all of Suzanne wright's books, they just keep getting better. The dark in you series is one of my absolute favorits. Maddox is hot and all Alfa male. Rainie is smart and sweet and totally lovable. Rainie is reluctant to let Maddox fully into her life and holds a lot of secrets. Maddox holds back because he has secrets of his own. These two work around there issues while trying to find out who wants them dead. It is a fun read. With plenty of humor and steam.

I loved this book! It was totally worth the wait. In Omens, Maddox was depicted as cold and unfeeling and I had no idea how Suzanne Wright would show another side of him. She did though and it was brilliant! Raini seemed unthreatening and it was exactly the opposite of who she is. Maddox and Raini fit together really well, they just had to learn to let down walls and that boundaries were only prolonging the inevitable.

I was engrossed in this book from start to finish! I was blessed with an ARC. I really enjoyed the twists and turns. Every book you have out out I devour and reread when you release new books to add to your series. I don't want to post spoilers but this book is more than worth your time. Cozy up and stay awhile it's almost impossible to put down. Looking forward to Levi's book it seems he is going to have his hands full! Posted on Goodreads and then I'll do the same on Amazon!

I LOVED this book !!

I always think that I can't love any of her books more than the last one and then I read the next one and somehow it is even better but in different ways. Raini has to be one of my favourites, I wasn't too keen on Maddox in the beginning but he definitely proved himself by the end. I can't wait for the next one it sounds like Levi's story is going to be a doozy.

I was given an ARC of this book in return for my honest opinion. Thank you Net Galley and Little, Brown Book Group UK.
