Aww this book was so cute. And I'm about to say something that contradicts itself- I both loved and didn't really like the fact that there was no drama or real external conflict- like don't get me wrong, it was wonderful to see such a great, adult relationship, but at the same time, man, give me some drama! Some misunderstandings! Someone trying to break them up! I loved Cait and Brant through and I really love Silver Island. The friendships are so strong and the relationships are so adorable and I cannot wait to see where Melissa Foster takes the rest of the single characters! Definitely a really fun, cute read!

I loved this story so much. In it we meet two opposites in Cait and Brant. She is new in town and a tattoo artist with art all over her body while he is a local with a smile and charm for days. He is everyone's friend and yet he has eyes only for Cait who has turned him down many times. Brant's determination to continue pursuing Cait is one of the most charming things ever. I agree that can be creepy in real life but in the story it is sweet and sexy. These two find a rhythm as friends then build into something much deeper. I really appreciated how the author created a very safe space for the characters to develop. The story felt low in angst but high in swoon.

This is Caitlin and Brant’s story and I did love it but did have some very sad parts. Cait was a tattoo artist and Brant was a boat maker. Caitlin has lots of emotional baggage. She was adopted out as a baby and had just recently discovered her two sisters. Her mother that had raised her had died when she was young and her adopted father had not been good to her! Brant knew he had to take it slow with her and earn her trust. I loved the dog that they adopted and how they cared for it. But the best part to me was when Caitlin finally became strong enough to confront her father!
Very emotional book but Cait does overcome with the help of Brant and others.

This is book two in The Silver Harbor Series and it is Cait and Brant's story and omg this book just blew me away and was so emotional and a must read. Cait had a abusive childhood after her adaptive mother died and eventually she ran away now years later and she has had a lot of surprises all at once when she finds out that her birth mother who she had never met has died and left her a third of the bistro, cottage and she also has two half sisters so now she spends her time travelling between Silver Island and The Cape where she works at the bistro on Silver Island and The wicked ink in the cape but travelling between the two locations was making her tired and drained but she needed both locations for different reasons and would have to decide what to do book and she also needed to keep away from Brant as he was tempting her to feel things that she didn't want to especially after her last relationship really caused her some damage but staying away from Grant was easier said than done when they were connected by family and friend's. Grant has felt a connection to Cait right from the start and his feelings for her are just getting stronger the more time that they were in each other's company but she keeps him at arms length as much as possible but Brant was determined to get closer to her to get to know her more but it was getting more and more difficult as her walls were so high and it would take someone really special to break through to her and as he had plenty of patients and he hoped that he would eventually be able to be that person that she needs and trusts as he really wants to be with her. The chemistry between Cait and Grant was so strong and intense but Cait had gone through so much and had so much baggage that she didn't know if she could let down her walls and let him in and I found myself in tears for everything that she has had to go through but still found myself hoping that Brant could help her get past everything and give them a chance of a happy ending but only time will tell what the outcome would be. I absolutely loved this book and I couldn't put it down as it was a real page turner that kept you on the edge of your seat wondering what would happen next and my heart broke for what Cait had been through and how patient and caring Brant was and there friend's and family was there with them every step of the way supporting them regardless of the situation. Melissa Foster is an amazing author and writer and her stories have so much depth that you feel like you are there with them and going through everything and that is why I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will definitely not be as as she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention.

I liked this story although I was overwhelmed a few times with the large cast of people in it. After I read this book, I noticed that the author mentioned that she had a map of Silver Island and family trees on her website. That family trees part might have been even more helpful to me.
I enjoyed both Cait and Brant as the main characters. It was quite the emotional story. He was open, affectionate, and honest not to mention tender towards Cait. And boy, did she need that tenderness even as she ran from it. I loved how he often told her, "I got you." He saw her and knew when to push and when to back off from her; giving her the space she needed. She had SO much pain and bad memories to work through. But she also had a lot of people rooting for her too. She developed her Island friends and family and the Cape "family" that she already had. Tank played a big part of her support family from the beginning.
Brant's family was a lot of fun and often zany. Especially how they interacted with little Joni and her wild imagination. The Mermaid theme cropped up every so often and played a sweet part to the story.
Remember I said Brant's family was fun and zany? Well so was the Bra Brigade.
I liked how Cait finally broke free and the H.E.A. that follows because of that.

No one writes small town romance quiet like Melissa Foster and Maybe We Should is a perfect addition to the Silver Harbor Series. We are back in Silver Harbor to meet Cait and Brant, a couple who on the face of it are complete opposites but we all know out hearts will often rule our heads and that saying opposites attract is so very true. I was captivated from the first few pages in Cait and Brant’s journey, I laughed at the witty banter they shared and I swooned at the sizzling chemistry. It was interesting watching Brant try and break through the walls Cait had built around herself and just when he thought he had a breakthrough, her past came back to haunt her. This book touched me on so many levels, I adored the characters and I found myself wishing and hoping they got the happiness they both so deserved, this is an emotional yet entertaining read about soulmates and it will appeal to wide range of audiences.

DNF: It seems like I have the same complaints every time I pick up one of Foster's books, and I've come to the conclusion that her writing style just isn't for me. The quality is there, but it feels dated and some of the gender dynamics feel problematic. They're also very, very interconnected, and even reading the other books within a series is often not enough to make sense of all the characters. I didn't love the first book in this series but I thought I'd give this one a chance. It didn't go any better, so I set the book aside. Many will love this, but it's a DNF for me.

I haven't read a Melissa Foster book in awhile, but as soon as I started this one, I was reminded why I love her books so much. She always delivers a fantastic small town romance with all the feels. Cait is new to Silver Island and and has a troubled past. Brant is a sexy boat builder who many women want. He has his eyes on Cait and wants to know more about her. Their story is emotionally charged and full of heart.

I loved this sweet and sultry romance!

Certified "good guy" Brant has been captivated by the lovely but guarded Cait since she first arrived in town to reunite with her sisters after their mother's death. I adored the way Brant used patience and humor (along with a cute puppy) to break down her barriers and gain her trust.

The whole story was like a refreshing, relaxing trip to the beach, as much of the story takes place on an island. The local community is filled with strong friendships and even stronger family ties, and I loved the way they all pulled together to shower Cait with the love and support she's always needed.

Every bit of this story is well written, and will have you swooning for "one of the good ones." After a cathartic showdown that was long overdue, Cait makes peace with her past so she and Brant can enjoy a very solid HEA. I loved this story just as much as the first one, and I highly recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Maybe we should will pull at your heart as Kait heals her heart and learns to trust family and friends. Her abusive father can't hurt her anymore. A puppy and a persistent man heals her.

I knew there was more to Cait. When I was first introduced to her, I was so intrigued that I was anxious for her story. Melissa Foster wrote the perfect story for her life. She told of her upbringing, showed her strength, allowed her to be weak, and let her heart find her HEA.

One of the many things I truly love about Melissa Foster’s writing is how she makes her characters real. She gives them faults, she lets them hurt, but she brings them through it all with grace, love, and respect. Cait’s story was not easy. She met sisters she never knew existed, opened her past to her friends, and opened her heart to a man that just would not go away. Brant is the most persistent alpha male in all of Melissa Foster’s story so far. I loved how he never gave up, he tried to let her lead but that alpha part of him had a hard time stepping back and giving her space.

With every one of Melissa Foster’s books, I meet a wonderful new set of characters while catching up with some of the others that I met in the past and loved. Each book is a standalone and the series can be read in any order. I cannot recommend these books enough. Pick them all up, start with any of them and see what I am talking about.

I have read many of Mellissa's books and I have loved them but this book took me a long time to get into. I read the previous book in this series so I possibly had some high expectations with this book but in the end I feel let down.

Cait discovers that she has a family and is reunited with the sisters that she did not know she had. She has issues that she needs to overcome with how she grew up and has a darkness to her as a result of it.

Brant, turned out to be the light to Cait's darkness through his flirty charming ways as well as through his hero/healer personality. The pair have an opposites attract type relationship but at times it didn't feel like they fit.

Both the characters and the story were well written but overall, this was just an okay read for me.

Not my first read by the author and I am a huge fan of hers have read almost every single book. This series has been a trouble-some for me because I was just not able to connect with the first book so I wanted to give it a good try on book 2 and same. I think the length to me this time contributed a lot to everything. I usually do like longer books and have read plenty by this author, this series just might not be for me.

Cait was a heroine we all could relate to, vulnerability, strong, sweet and a little of lost. In comes the hero Brant who truly is the heroine’s ‘person’ if you will. I did loved them together and the obstacles they had to endure and go through individually and together were heartbreaking but yet so beautiful. What happened was the more I was with the heroine the more I felt a disconnect and distance between them two. Maybe it was her unwillingness to let go a little or not sure but I lost the ‘together’ of the hero and heroine. This is a lengthy one and there were a lot happening and maybe I also got lost there a little, it started off and I was with it then just as the story went on I think I myself just got lost. I did as always love the style of writing by the author and can appreciate her beautiful style and words. I really wanted to get in touch more when it came to this series but again not every book/series will be for everyone.

I really struggled to get into this book. There were a lot of characters, and I had a really hard time keeping them all straight. It was frustrating. I usually really enjoy Melissa Foster books, so maybe this just wasn't the book for me. I will definitely read her again in the future.

Oh Brant. He was so sweet, charming, caring and it is hard to not completely fall in love with the man from the start. Cait is a little more complicated, but you can’t help but root for her, because the woman deserves all the happiness in the world. Brant is the perfect man for her, he brings a lightness to her world that she really needs. The two of them have undeniable chemistry from the start. Plus, add in their adorable dog! I loved it.
I loved getting more of previous characters and if you’ve read any books from the author then you’ll definitely recognize the names and it was a great little update on everyone.
This story was a longer one and at times I found myself getting distracted if the story slowed down too much. It is probably just a personal thing, but I really needed something to connect me to the overall story and this just wasn’t doing at times, though I love the characters and the emotion in this.

Maybe We should is such a swoon worthy read. I loved every single moment of this one. Brant has to be my favorite of all of Melissa Foster's men yet. He is sweet, kind, patient, gentle, has a big heart and will make you swoon just so. I love how he is with Cait so much. He pushes her yet gives her space at the same time. Cait you can tell is a little broken and working on figuring where she fits the most. She is a talented artist and will keep you on your toes as she battles her past to move forward with the future. There is amazing chemistry and banter between Brant and Cait that will keep you glued to the pages. I just love all the changes Cait goes through as she grows closer to everyone on Silver Island. This book just takes your heart from the very start and fills it with love and family. Brant's family will have you giggling along with the bra brigade. Cait and her sisters may just bring tears to your eyes. Lets not forget those steamy moments sprinkled throughout too. I could not put this one down.

Cait Wetherby is a tatoo artist that splits her time between the Cape where she works and Silver Island with her newly discovered two half sisters. Her biological mother gave her up for adoption when at 17 but she was remembered in her will after her death. On the Island is gorgeous (because what else would he be) boatbuilder Brant Remington. Her's been flirting and chasing her a bit to no avail until he rescues her while she is rescuing a dog from drowning. Now he claims they can co-parent the pup, breaking down some barriers between them. He is a genuinely nice guy but Cait has walls up from an abusive (physical and mental) past. It takes patience and understanding to earn her trust.

This is the second book in a series and if you want to read the inheritance backstory or their first meeting you need to read Maybe We Will. (It would also help to get be introduced to many of the characters.) But Cait's romance can stand on its own. This is an emotional, contemporary romance. It takes on some series topics along with cuteness of fur baby adoring. Picture brawny boatbuilder with a yorkie strapped to his chest. I always like when there are supportive characters and this has it in the friends Cait chooses and the newly island community that is starting to be her home. Some parts are predictable and even cheesy but I didn't mind. Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed the easy romance that was Maybe We Will earlier in the year so I was excited to see that there as a new instalment into the Silver Harbor series.

Maybe We Should focuses on Cait; Abby’s secret sister, who is still adjusting to life in Silver Harbor. We learned snippets about Cait’s life in Maybe We Will; she’s a tattoo artist from the mainland who’s Mom died when she was little, there was also implications that she had a difficult upbringing but no specifics. This instalment delves deep into her insecurities and challenges in her life.

It is no secret to anybody that Brant Remington has fallen hard for Cait, however, no matter how hard he tries she won’t give him the time of day. That is until he rescues her from drowning whilst she is ironically rescuing a dog from drowning. Brant used the opportunity of sharing custody of the rescued dog; who they name Scrappy, as a chance to get closer to Cait. The chemistry between them is clear, but Cait doesn’t do relationships. Every time she’s ever given her heart to a man he has destroyed it and she’s not willing to give him that chance. Brant however, is not going to give up and slowly and surely Cait starts to open up to him.

There is no major shocking moments in this book really. No huge drama or plot twist but it was a good solid read with romance and not revenge but something similar. I feel like a lot of people may be annoyed by the idea that men had the role of protector of Cait but I’m quite old fashioned and appreciate that anyway.

I gave this book a 3/5 and will more than likely pick up the next instalment too (presuming the third sister will get her own story now she’s taking time off work and clearly going to hook up with the hot guitarist she ‘hates’).

Family means different things to different people. Some feel warmth, love and hope and others feel hate, disrespect and fear. Unfortunately the worse side of it is all Cait has in her background. So when Brant finally breaks down some of her walls will she just erect others to keep her heart from being hurt once again. Or will he give her strength to overcome and face the demons in her past? This book was a roller coaster of emotions that only became deeper with every turn of the page. With beautifully written characters and an honest and true portrayal of both versions of family this was a fantastic read. I cannot wait for more in this series.

Ms. Foster certainly knows how to write books with all the "feels"!! I loved the first book in the Silver Harbor Series, Maybe We Will, so much that I thought there's no way she could possibly make me change my mind and love Cait and Brant's story even more than Aiden and Abby's, but oh my gosh, she most certainly has done that! What an emotional ride! I knew Brant was going to be a force to be reckoned with from the moment he was introduced in the first book but he was even more swoon worthy, sweet and sexy than I had anticipated. And I knew Cait had her secrets, but I wouldn't have guessed she had endured so much. She's a strong, brave and courageous young lady and I was hoping and wishing for her HEA throughout this read. And throw in an adorable little fur baby named Scrappy and you've got perfection -- I love these small town romances filled with close-knit families, adorable babies and pets and fun-filled get togethers -- can I visit them?! All of Ms. Foster's books are standalones but there's always interconnecting characters from other series that make appearances and in my opinion, it makes all her books even more entertaining.
