Although Maybe We Will felt dry to me in terms of romantic tension and plot, Maybe We Should made me fall in love with Silver Harbor and its citizens. Knowing me, it was the love/hate dynamic that sold me on this one. Not quite an enemies-to-lovers, Maybe We Should is an opposites-attract romance between shy, guarded Kate and goofy, flirty Brant, who tries his hardest to win her over. I LOVE that the catalyst for their forced interaction is an adorable dog that they save from drowning and end up co-parenting. This book is everything that I had hoped Rescue Me by Sarra Manning would be. The romance is full of chemistry and great banter, and their island family is delightful.

Just a couple of negatives stand out: the pacing felt slow in parts (especially when Kate kept trying to push Brant away), and, like many companion standalones, it felt like I lost too much by skipping the rest of the author's books. Without the context of previous books, many side character interactions fell less meaningful.

I just finished reading Maybe We Should by Melissa Foster. This book takes place at Silver Harbor and is the second book in the series about three sisters. We met Adian and Abby in book 1 and they are still going strong. This book is about Cait and Brant (and their fur baby Scrappy). I’ve read book one and really enjoyed it and this book is equally as good. Cait is the sister that was given up for adoption, so you get to find out her back story in this book. Brant is a Remington (and I’m sure part of the Remington books I love, but the family tree is a blur for me). He has an amazing family with a lot of siblings that I hope get their own series later on! (One of my favorite Melissa Foster books is about a Remington, Slope of Love!)

This book is starts at the end of a slow burn romance. We don’t have to wait through all of the slow progress, only some of it which is a nice change! I like that they have known each other for a few months before the real romance starts. Makes insta love a lot more believable!

This book is really good an I confidently give it 5 stars. Thanks NetGalley for an advance copy for an honest review!

This was the first book I read by this author. Despite the fact that I needed a little more time than usual to feel a connection with the heroine, I spent a really nice time reading her story. A story about finding yourself, a story about finding true love. It was sweet and heartwarming. The author created a wonderful partner for Cait who helped her through this emotional journey. He knew when to push her and when to give her a break. His actions were thoughtful and as it turned out at the end also effective. He won the girl, she found herself and happiness by his side.

"Everyone followed their own path, and that happened to be hers. Luckily, she’d found something better than a pot of gold at the end. Or rather, at the juncture of her past and her new beginning."
I was lucky enough to get an ARC for this book from NetGalley. All opinions are ny own.

Melissa has done it again!
Maybe We Should is a wonderful, love-filled book about overcoming your past and realizing your own strength. The one that comes from within, but also the one that comes from those who love you.

It will make you swoon, and this happily ever after will make you believe in the power of real love.

Cait takes center stage in this book. She’s too young to have endured everything she’s gone through in her life, and she is closed off because of it. Sometimes the scars you hide run a lot deeper than the ones your skin shows. It was heartbreaking to know her story, but it’ll also make you feel empowered: you don’t have to be stuck in your past; you can fight for your future.

Every woman out there deserves their own Brant. I’m serious. Not only is he hot and sexy, but he’s also adorably flirty and cheesy at times, patient and loving. He’s too charming, and just genuinely too good. He noticed Cait a few months ago and he’s been flirting incessantly with her, but she doesn’t give him the time of day.

"Everyone says to live like there’s no tomorrow, but you never hear love like every minute is the only one you’ll ever get."
When Cait jumps in the water trying to save a dog from drowning and almost drowns herself, Brant is there to save her. And they start getting closer. Slowly, sort of a one-step-forward-two-steps-back situation, but Brant tries his hardest. He wants to get through to her.

Everything that follows, like all the stories I’ve read of Melissa’s so far, is all about love. It’s all about opening up and believing you have the right to be happy, and taking a leap of faith.

I loved how wonderful Brant was, and how tender and caring he was with Cait. He was careful not to push too much, giving her space to set her own pace, all the while showing her it was OK to trust, and give in. To him, to them.

"I have never wanted anything more than how much I want forever with you."
I love how Melissa’s books make me feel, and this one was no exception. It was like the rest of the world didn’t matter because the book fully captivated me, and made me live this happily ever after.

There’s no ‘maybe’ about it. They definitely should. And they did.

Maybe we Should by Melissa Foster a five-star read you should definitely read. This is number two in the Silver Harbour series, but if you are familiar with the authors works you will see others pop in, this time its Cait Weatherby who tell us her story, and she doesn’t tell us everything, but she tells us enough. Brant has a way about him that just warms everyone, this is a great story and one you wont want to miss.

From her first introduction in Maybe We Will, Cait was a mystery that stayed on the edge of my heart. The unknown sister with a tough exterior and a fragile heart haunted me long after Abby's story was done. Maybe We Should is the story of one woman's courage to find a place to belong. Cait proves to be more than the previous glimpses that Foster allowed to be seen. She's an enigma that pulls you in by emotion and inspires you to be better for the experience. Maybe We Should is not your average romance, it's a movement that refuses to be contained.

This was a cute, steamy read. I loved the slow burn aspect of it and all of the familial relationships in it as well. I don't know if I'll continue on with the series but I enjoyed the first one!

Maybe We Should is a good book. The two main characters are Cait and Brant. She was adopted at birth. She really didn’t know both of her moms. Her adopted Mom died when she was 4 years old. Her birth mom died when she she was 31 years old. She was notified by her birth mom’s lawyer regarding her birth mom’s death. She was out with her sisters one night when she meet Brant. Cait has some difficulties but she had work thru them with Brant’s help. They did that and declared they were in love.

Cait Weatherby finally found answers about her life on Silver Island. With two half sisters she never knew existed, and new friends she’s ready to figure out her next steps. Brant Remington finds Cait irresistible and openly flirts with her every chance he gets. Cait is guarded and worried about her past and what it will do if others find out about it.. Brant's persistence pays off as Cait's walls come down. As great as that all is Cait is waiting for things to turn bad. This was another great addition to the Silver Island series. Can't wait for the next installment.

I enjoyed the first book and didn't think that this would be as good - but it was!! I have issues with series because of continuity and keeping things together but I really did love all the characters and I have now put this author on my TBR pile.

3.5 stars

This was a sweet and heartwarming story. Not only a love story but a found family and founding yourself again story.
I really like both main characters, especially the Hero. He was sweet and caring and although sometimes a bit too pushy and insistent, he proved from the start that he truly cared for the heroine.
Now. Our heroine was... very interesting. I have to admit that it was by the end of the book that I finally appreciated her. That scene in the office was very empowering and emotional. Truly beautiful.
Overall this was a great book that although its part of a series can be read perfectly as a standalone.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review

Melissa Foster does it again! I have enjoyed her other series and this is no exception, especially with the crossover with the Wickeds. The female lead is dealing with an abusive past that continues to affect her present and even potentially her future. With the help and support of many people, especially Brant, Cait learns she is strong enough to face down her abuser so she can move forward with the life she deserves. Highly recommended. #netgalley

Maybe We Should is an emotional Love story with troubled tattoo artist, Cait Weatherby and the adorable boat builder, Brant Remington. Cait has found a much needed family that she knew nothing about. They welcome her with open arms and Brant is a friend to everyone on the island and has his sights set on Cait. Brant is honest and open about his feelings for her, which she believes she doesn’t deserve. I got so caught up in this story. There are so many “Oh my Gosh” moments! I absolutely love how Melissa Foster intertwines characters from other books, so you get to re-visit your old friends. If there were star ratings, this book would be all GOLD stars!!!

As a huge fan of Melissa Foster, I own or have read so many of her books. This book, Maybe We Should, is book 2 of the Silver Harbor series but there are visiting characters from her Dark Knights series and the Harmony Pointe series (and many others). It's part of the wonder of this writer's world- so many characters are all in some way interconnected so while you don't need to read all the books as the romances are standalones, the characters are so amazing that you end up wanting to search out the different stories detailing their HEAs.

I've been awaiting Grant's story and he is absolutely swoon worthy and one of my favorite male characters across all Melissa Foster's books. He's playful and sweet but protective and so so loving. And he needs to be because Cait (also seen in the Wickeds: Dark Knights at Bayside) has a difficult past and has been abused. His patience and love was so inspirational to read about and I cycled between smiling and tearing up as their relationship progressed. It was a gorgeous story that was only elevated by the fantastic supporting cast, many of them loved characters from other books. I can't wait to relive this story through the audiobook! Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and Melissa Foster for an early read.

I’ve been following this author for some and have read most of her work. Going into this small town romance with was easy as I love this trope. I found it interesting how it was happy go-lucky H and grumpy h since it’s usually the other way around. The overall story was great, my only issue was that I didn’t get the sizzling chemistry from the main leads that I usually get. I couldn’t related to how Cait kept an emotional distance the whole time which caused a strain on their chemistry for me. However, main focus that I got was family and healing which are topics that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Melissa Foster, you did it again. This book has left its mark on my book loving heart. Maybe We Should is the kind of book that is good for your soul. It’s more than just a romance, it’s also about overcoming your problems, facing them and coming out better for it - all while finding happiness, love, acceptance and family.

Cait Weatherby is a strong, strong woman who has overcome a lot in her young life. The things she has been through would have broken a weaker person - She is bent but not broken. Brant Remington is one of the good ones - He is everything a book boyfriend should be and more. Brant has earned the top spot on my Top Five list of favorite fictional men and he will not easily be replaced. Watching him love on Cait slowly and patiently, made my book loving heart happy - I could not read this book fast enough.

Maybe We Should gets All.The.Stars and should be considered a must read romance for every single romance reader out there - TBR and Enjoy!

I could not wait to read Cait's story since the first book in this series. I was excited to see what the lost sister has been through and her past.
After reading it, it was almost too sad and depressing.
I figured Cait and Brent's story was king to be fun and upbeat. It was quite the opposite. At times, it was just so sad. Especially Cait.

Now, writing the review I feel sad.

Brant wants to Cait but she is resisting him as best she can, no matter how much she does really like him. As they spend more time together and she starts to share her secrets with him, will they take a chance on each other?

A great setting too.

Looking forward to the next book in the series.

I have not read a ton of books by this author- but this story’s description really grabbed me from the start. And, though I’d not read the book prior, I was able to dive in completely with our small town and all the characters. There is a lot of swoony charm and sweet feelings to enjoy in this story-emotionally complicated heroine trying to learn to let others in, a hunky and charming boat builder gently trying to win her heart, lots of endearing side characters, and that good ole small town delight.

Cait is a heroine you can root for, and one that you feel for tremendously as she tries to balance reconciling aspects of her past with the new-found peace of her new life- with the sisters she didn’t she had and with friends and a home that feels surprisingly secure. She’s got a lot of walls to break down, and there’s a compelling stoic strength paired with a tender vulnerability to her character. And Brant is a charming and sweet hero- a loving and healing presence, a light next to Cait’s more complicated character arc. Individually, I found them both very compelling and likable as characters, but together as a couple I found their chemistry to be a bit lukewarm for me, even with the fun opposites attract vibe. Perhaps it is Cait’s emotional distance, or maybe my own headspace, but their connection didn’t resonate with me in the way prior reads have resonated. Despite that, I appreciated the themes around healing and hope- and finding oneself in family and love.

Still an enjoyable story overall, and I found the other characters of Silver Island intriguing, and will be checking out the prior and future stories as well.

This novel is a slow build, almost too slow at times. I generally enjoy Foster's novels, but I did struggle with this one. I had a hard time connecting to either of the main characters, and the plot and secondary characters didn't keep me engaged as well as other novels.
