I enjoyed this one for the most part. It did suffer the same fate as some of Stoker's other books-2nd hand embarrassment with the insta-love oversharing. But, that aside, I enjoyed this second chance romance. Single mom needs saving and the team shows up. Danger follows them home. Plenty of action and sweet moments between Gramps and Mario (the son). Overall, a 3.5 star read! Great epilogue!

This was another great Susan Stoker book. I loved the relationship between Cassidy and Gramps. Interesting plot and wonderful writing!

Susan Stoker did it again, with another great read. I loved this book! The character development and description of the layout/background. She paints a picture to the reader which helps with visualizing the scenery and the mindset of the men and women.

I always enjoy books by Susan Stoker and this one did not disappoint. This story following Gramps and his friend from high school who is being held captive in Jamaica by a drug kingpin. It wasn't easy to break free from the drug lord but Cassidy wants a chance to be free and to love who she chooses, but it takes Gramps and his teammates their all to free Cassidy forever.

I loved a few books in this series over the time and this one was no exception at all. While I did find the heroine a bit annoying and too uptight, it’s totally understandable why she was behaving like that towards him.
The friendship between all of them and the slow burn romance made for a great read altogether.

3 stars. Out of all of the Silverstone series this was my least favorite story.

Susan Stoker is a hit maker, and as always, she doesn’t disappoint. The Silverstone Towing crew really shines in this fourth and final installment of the series. Cassidy is a mom who is doing the best she can for her son in really difficult circumstances. Even when they think they are in the clear, danger continues to follow them. The romance between Cassidy and Leo is wonderful, and this is a great end to a fantastic series.

Great story! This is the last book in the Silverstone series. You don't have to read the whole series to in order to read this book..

But when a few henchmen from the fallen cartel won't let Cassidy go so easily, Silverstone grabs all their resources and sets out to find her before it's too late.

A must read!

I love Susan Stoker books, her plots are amazing and her characters draw you in. I don't even read synopsis's when preordering her books, that's ok great she is.

This was a wonderful end to the Silverstone series! I absolutely loved it. I also loved the introduction to the men in Susan's new series. I love her writing and highly recommend this book and the whole series.

Trusting Cassidy, the fourth and final book in Susan Stoker’s Silverstone series, is a suspenseful, steamy, romantic, and thrilling second-chance romance. Stoker takes the suspense and urgency to the next level, pushing the Silverstone team and their wives and girlfriends to the edge of danger and fear. Her description is vivid, action scenes are exciting, and characters are interesting and fallible. I love how Stoker explores relevant themes in her novels. Here she nicely explores LGBTQ+ identity and allyship with this story. Cassidy Hewitt takes her son on a trip to Jamaica, but they are held prisoner by an evil drug lord and not allowed to leave. Out of desperation, she sends secret letters to the FBI. Leo “Gramps” Zanardi, a secret operative with Silverstone Towing, sees the letters and feels he must do something to bring Cassidy and her son home. Cassidy and Leo went to high school together, and though they never dated, there was a strong attraction and electric chemistry between them. Leo doesn’t have to do much to convince the team to go on this mission to save them. Once Cassidy and her son settle in Indiana, Leo and Cassidy finally start exploring their attraction. Unfortunately, before they can start a new life together, the Kingpin’s underlings follow them, seeking revenge against Cassidy, causing bloodshed indiscriminately and leaving chaos in their wake.

Stoker includes a long epilogue that offers a cool look in on the characters, giving a rare view of romance, love, and sexuality between couples later in marriage/relationships. I understand the need to give readers closure on the series. But with an extra hour of reading, it might be better to release a novella instead. It felt like the novel should have ended far sooner and still would have been satisfying, and I say that as a person who has read and really enjoyed the whole series.

I liked how Leo and Mario's relationship so easily slid into the role of father and son and that Leo didn't even bat an eye when finding out that Mario wasn't interested in sports and wanted to do what was seen as a girly activity. I also liked Leo's protectiveness towards Mario when Cassidy said that she wished that Mario wasn't gay. "What's important is that you don't give up and you have fun. Life's too short to get sucked into negativity." Leo to Mario.
I've found in a lot of these stories the women becomes to reliant on the love interest/man that saves them and they don't take time to find out what life on their own terms is like but in this the female lead decided straight away that she was going to stay as independent as she could, find a home and job so Mario could have all the things that he's missed out on. Loved how the whole group were all very welcoming to them and making them at ease straight away, it seemed like they had all known each other for years instead of just meeting. Overall enjoyed it.

This book is the conclusion to the Silverstone series and overall featured a fun storyline and wrap-up to a great cast of characters and collection of stories. While it wasn't my favourite one in the series, it was still an engaging story and featured all of the characters we've come to know and love.

Taking place shortly after the previous book, Trusting Cassidy is about a single mother, Cassidy, who's found herself in a rough situation that she needs assistance getting out of. When her plea reaches Gramps and his team, he recognises her name and they set about extracting Cassidy and her son.

Compared to previous books that I've read in the series I found that this one slumped a little in the middle, and Cassidy as a heroine made a lot of questionable choices along the way which mean I struggled to connect with her as a character. Gramps was a complete sweetheart and you can see the love and care he has for both Cassidy, her son and the team he's spent so much time working with. They're a family, and he does anything to protect them.

As the concluding book in the series, this features a mini wrap-up at the end for all the characters, which was nice to see.

The last book in this series has Leo “gramps” they call him who comes across some letters from the girl he was in love with in high school. She is now a woman who married had a son divorces her husband and goes to Jamaica for a job as a teacher. Not she is really being captive in a drug cartel's home who has fallen for her beauty. Wanting to get the help she has been secretly sending letters out on the few days she is able to leave the compound. When Leo found out about the letters and who the person he began working towards a way of saving her and her son.
Now, the plan is put into action with him posing as a drug dealer from the U.S. looking for a product. Though the boss man is doing everything to make him want to make the deal the man's right-hand man does not trust him. When Leo and Cassidy have to put everything into motion they have finally left Jamaica before the right-hand man finds out what happens. Though they made it back to Indiana what they don’t know is that someone is following them that is the real story along with Cassidy and Leo. the characters are good and I found this to be a very good book. The epilogue or many of them was really good to touch on what happened to each family. I really liked this series and its nice ending.

Emotional end to the series…

I wasn’t ready for this series to end but Gramps story was the best way to do it! He had a second chance at love and he was not going to let her slip away…

Cassidy was a brave woman and a protective mama. Her dire circumstances called for bold action and she took it, knowing the risks. To save her son, it was worth it. Fate brought Leo back into her life and she couldn’t let him go again… What followed was an emotionally strewn, action packed romance. Cassidy’s son Mario was a great character and provided much angst and smiles to the plot. Evading deadly enemies became routine, well as routine as that could possibly be. They weren’t alone, of course, being surrounded by the Silverstone family. They loved, they laughed and they protected ensuring no dull moments. The group had gone through, and survived, a lot and this was going to push them all to the limits…

Love and family were key and letting go of these characters made for a wonderful, if bittersweet, end…

I’ve read all the authors books, and have to say this one was probably my least favorite. I just had a bit of a problem with the heroine and her stupid decision making. Not to mention, she’s so worried about her very young son being and him out delivering drugs, but can still have sexy times? It was too much for me to swallow. I did like the epilogues and how we got to see the futures of all the Silverstone couples, but the rest of the story was just meh.

Trusting Cassidy is the fourth and final book in the Silverstone series by Susan Stoker. This book can be read as a standalone romance, but I loved the whole series so much that I recommend reading all of them! The whole series is now available on Kindle Unlimited (with audiobooks included) so it's definitely worth checking out!

This series was my introduction to the author's work and I have to say I am now hooked! It's amazing when you can find an author who's books inspire you to binge read entire series in days.

I could not get enough of Trusting Cassidy. The characters were wonderfully written and this was action packed. I love my romances to have a little suspense and drama and this one kept me on the edge of my seat.

I have to say I got teary eyed several times while reading this book. That is how much I fell in love with these characters and the world they created.

I did not want this book or series to end, but I thought the way it did was beautifully written.

I highly recommend reading this book (series!) to any fans of military or action packed romances.

I can't wait to binge read another of Susan Stoker's series! I know she has a new one releasing in March, but I won't be able to wait that long!

To start off, I've read and loved Susan Stoker's books before. Their writing has always been beautiful, and it flows well. The plot in their books are always so exciting and full of action, one of the reasons I like this author's books.

The book takes place shortly after the end of the previous book. They gave a bit of background info about what had happened in that one, and then jumped right into action. It started off great, truly. I liked the first part of this book, it was fun to read and intriguing. We got to see the behind the scenes of the operation these men run, and then the author brought us along for their undercover mission filled with drugs, abuse, and all the bad things you can imagine. Their goal is to take out villain #1 and safely rescue a mother and song duo. A woman one of the Silverstone men knew intimately. This makes the mission all the more important to him.

But everything went somewhat downhill, for me, after 65%.

The heroine is supposed to be a strong woman, taking care and wanting to protect her only child - her son. She felt like she made all the wrong decisions, that those same decisions ended up being the reason they ended up in that dark world. When they were rescued, she was adamant about standing on her own two feet. She wanted to prove that she was capable of taking care of her son. And she was.

But as soon as they got comfortable in their new lives, I started to dislike the heroine, and the plot, a little bit.
The heroine began to make the dumbest decisions, the story started to feel dragged out, so much happened at once but then again it felt like nothing at all happened at the same time. There was way too much unnecessary info-dumps, and a lot of repeating.
But one thing I really wasn't a fan of, were the many, many epilogues this book had. I know that epilogues are usually at the end of a book, mostly a glimpse into their happy future, but with this one they went a bit overboard. There were multiple epilogues, each focused on a different couple. I could've honestly gone without them. And I sort of did - I skimmed those chapters. It did make me feel bad, but I just couldn't get into it anymore.

It was a real bummer that I didn't end up loving this book like I had expected. But I guess you can't win them all.

Trusting Cassidy wasn't at all a bad book. It really, really wasn't. It was a lovely book that could've been great, had the ending/from 65% on been handled differently.

On a positive note, I really, truly, loved the LGBTQIA+ representation in this book, the allyship, the unconditional love that is so evident throughout this book for that character. It was so lovely to see, especially in a 'military' and/or 'alpha-ish' hero book like this one.

This is my first Susan Stoker book and will not be my last. I do realize that this is the last book in the series - I will definitely be going back to read the others now that I have read this one.

I really liked the plot of the book and how Gramps got his HEA.

Trusting Cassidy Book 4 in the Silverstone Series, was a great read. I was hooked from the first chapter to the last. Sad to see this Series end. Gramps found his HEA with Cassidy. True love was worth fighting for. This book was full of action, suspense, laughter, love and true love. A must read.
