Trusting Cassidy Book 4 in the Silverstone Series, was a great read. I was hooked from the first chapter to the last. Sad to see this Series end. Gramps found his HEA with Cassidy. True love was worth fighting for. This book was full of action, suspense, laughter, love and true love. A must read.

***5 Stars***

This was a fun, quick read and a great way to end this series of alpha men and the women who “tame” them.

I adored Gramps and Cassidy. Gramps is all kinds of protective alpha male, but with a totally marshmallowy center when needed. Cassidy is a force. She finds herself in a horrible situation, but holds it together for her son and does everything to keep him as safe and happy as possible. Gramps and Cassidy’s journey to their HEA was a fun one to experience. I loved that they were already friends, maybe not close anymore, but there was a connection and a level of trust they had with each other that made it easy to see that there could be more between them. While the attraction was undeniable, I liked how everything progressed between them and how Mario, Cassidy’s son, was always a huge part of their decisions and I just like how everything worked out for them in the end.

I have to admit that the ‘suspense’ part of the story didn’t interest me all that much, outside of the situation bringing Gramps and Cassidy together, because I just liked catching up with the Silverstone crew and watching as Gramps, Cassidy and Leo became a family, but it definitely kept things interesting. As for the Silverstone crew, I love how they are truly a family and everyone just gets along. And that epilogue definitely brought out a few sniffles as these characters and their friends and family got the farewell they deserved.

Cassidy is Leo’a aka Gramps one that got away many years ago. He is named Gramps as he is the oldest in the group of men. He’s also the last to fall. Cassidy goes on vacation to Jamaica with her son and is taken by drug lords. She tries to get away but it’s not working. Gramps and across the case and since he remembers Cassidy wants to help out. I enjoyed the last installment. Especially the epilogue. Perfect conclusion to the series.

I received this ARC through #netgalley and I am voluntarily reviewing this book

Another Susan Stoker book to enjoy and return to the world she writes about. All things we love about Susan Stoker happen here. It's real and sometimes harsh, but they always find their HEA and we learn life lessons along the way. I laugh because, at 45, they are calling him Gramps, but they have their reasons. I love the connection Cassidy has with Gramps even after the long years since High School. They make a good couple, and Gramps also does well with her pre-teen son. It's a good book!

TRUSTING CASSIDY (Silverstone Book 4) by Susan Stoker
This is the last book of the Silverstone series. It is also the first I have read of this series and now I will be going back to read the first three books. When a respite trip to Jamaica turns into a high stakes kidnapping for Cassidy and her young son Mario, she is able to sneak out letters to FBI to request help. Leo, also known as Gramps is an operative who finds the woman he missed out on in high school when he thought he was too old and she was too young is desperately needing rescued. He and his teammates are able to put a mission together to rescue them from the drug cartel. I loved Gramps, he is so in tune with Cassidy, Mario and what he needs to do to rescue them. This is a 5 star read.

Another masterpiece by Susan Stoker. I love reading Gramps's story. It was a great ending to the SliverStone series! Susan is amazing at writing fierce heroes and powerful women with her stories. I really do hate to see this series end.

Last book , last story in the series.
I was looking forward to Leo ( Gramps ) and Cassidy story.
Love how the couple eventually ended up together.
Leo has loved Cassidy since a young age but something stopped him to pursue her. This story is about second chance Romance. It has action , mystery .
Leo leaves and joins the service , leaving Cassidy behind. He gets a shock when he comes back and not only is Cassidy married but she’s a mother also.

Grab it and see how they end up together

“Trusting Cassidy” is the last of the Silverstone Towing Series as the last man standing, Leo Zanardi, aka Gramps, gets a second chance at reclaiming his love.

Gramps and his teammates are tasked with rescuing his high school love, Cassidy Hewitt and her son from the clutches of a kingpin in Jamaica. Rescuing Cassidy may have gone according to plan, but for Cassidy and her son to live a normal life is a struggle as they are still hunted by evil they thought was behind them. It will take the entire Silverstone and the courageous Cassidy to put an end to this danger, before Leo and she can make their dream of becoming a family, a reality.

I sure will miss this series, but I also cannot wait to read the next series of books that are coming from Susan Stoker.

Received an ARC from Montlake Romance, via NetGalley for an honest review.

DNF. This book was hard got me to get into. Maybe if I’d started at book one, it would’ve caught my attention easier. Two stars for the fabulous cover though.

Cassidy’s trip to Jamaica turned out to be anything but the vacation that she thought it would be. She and her son find themselves under the control of a very dangerous man and she knows that she needs to get out before it is too late. When she started sending letters to the FBI pleading for help she didn’t expect that it would bring a man from her past back into her life.

Leo has watched the other team members of Silverstone find the woman they want to spend their life with, but he has been unable to forget a woman from his past. When the FBI forwards a letter that they receive from her outlining her situation there is nothing he won’t do to rescue her and son, but they are about to find out that the danger won’t end even after the rescue.

Intrigue, romance and great characters as not only do we get to see Cassidy and Leo’s relationship unfold but catch up and see a glimpse of what the future holds for the other characters that we know and love as well.

Whoohoo, finally the last part of Susan’s Silverstone series! And she saved the best for last. (Just kidding, I loved all of her stories). But also in this fourth book, she gets me on the edge of my seat. And she got me crying and I thought my heart would break.

And of course, it was awesome to have all the guys in the story: Bull, Smoke, Eagle and Gramps. And finally, it is Gramps’ turn.

At the end of Trusting Molly, we had already read that Gramps had intercepted some letters to the FBI from Cassidy, who is held prison in Jamaica with her son. Gramps had a crush on Cassidy in high school, but since he was enlisting he didn’t tell her. And when he came home, he learned that she was married. So, she was the one that got away, but he never forgot her. When he learns she is held against her will by a Jamaican drugslord, they agree that Gramps will go undercover to try to save Cassidy and her son.

Again, Susan does an outstanding job in creating tension during the whole undercover operation: would Gramps succeed in convincing the mafia to do business with him? Will Cassidy recognize him and maybe blow his cover? How will they get Mario (Cassidy’s son) out, while he is doing a drugs delivery?

I nearly stayed up all night to read about the mission. And just when I thought they were safe, Susan spins the story yet again! In all, a wonderful ending to the series. I highly enjoyed it, including the fast forward flashes at the ending.

Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

I have loved every book in this short series and this one is no exception. Been waiting for Gramps to have his turn at love. He and Cassidy have to go through many hoops to get there though. Loved everything about their story! Susan Stoker is my go-to for military romance. I am sad this series has to come to an end but I have enjoyed every moment!

TRUSTING CASSIDY is the fourth and final instalment in Susan Stoker’s contemporary, adult SILVERSTONE erotic, military, romantic suspense series focusing on group of former US Special Forces soldiers, who own and operate Silverstone Towing. This is forty five year old Leo ‘Gramps’ Zanardi and forty-one year old, teacher/single mother Cassidy Hewitt’s story line. TRUSTING CASSIDY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. The SILVERSTONE series is a spin off from the author’s Mountain Mercenaries series but you do not have to have read the aforementioned series to understand or follow the current timeline.

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual third person perspective (Leo and Cassidy) TRUSTING CASSIDY follows the building romance and relationship between forty five year old Leo ‘Gramps’ Zanardi, and forty one year old, teacher and single mother Cassidy Hewitt. Five years earlier, following a contentious divorce, Cassidy Hewitt applied to be a teacher in Kingston Jamaica but quickly discovered she and her son were virtual prisoners of a drug kingpin who would target Cassidy’s now eleven year old son Mario to become another drug runner. Fast forward to present day, desperate to escape her captor, and return home to the USA, Cassidy writes a series of letters to the FBI, wherein former US Special Forces solider and high school friend Leo Zanardi grabs the assignment to rescue our heroine. Along with his fellow Silverstone soldiers, Leo would go in undercover in an attempt to locate and save the woman with whom he would fall in love but all does not go well, and trouble would follow our couple back to the United States. What ensues is the rescue and building relationship between Cassidy and Leo, and the potential fall-out as Cassidy and Mario are targeted placing everyone at Silverstone in the direct line of fire.

Leo Zanardi has loved Cassidy Hewitt since meeting our heroine in high school but Leo struggled with their four year age difference, and in this, left behind the woman with whom he would fall in love, only to return to our heroine married and a mother. Embarking on one final assignment Leo was determined to rescue Cassidy and her son, and claim the woman for his own happily ever after. Cassidy Hewitt was getting desperate to escape the prison in which she and her son were struggling to survive. Threats to their lives began to take a more ominous turn, and Cassidy wondered if they would ever make it home, alive.

The relationship between Cassidy and Leo is a high school friends to lovers, military rescue of a woman and her child from a notorious drug lord. Leo had not seen Cassidy for close to twenty-five years, twenty-five year in which Leo never forgot about the woman that got away. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters include all of the previous story line couples. We are up close and personal as the next generation is born, looking five, ten, fifteen and twenty years into the future .

TRUSTING CASSIDY is a story of betrayal and abuse, search and rescue, friendships, relationships, acceptance and love. The premise is engaging, intriguing and emotional; the romance is seductive and captivating; the characters are energetic, charismatic and strong.

This was actually the first book I read from this author and I so enjoyed it. I will certainly have to catch up with her other books in this series. The story between Gramps and Cassidy was great. It captured me in the beginning and kept going. The feelings between the two seemed so real and genuine.
I received an advanced reader copy from Netgalley and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.

Trusting Cassidy was a good ending to the Silverstone series. I really liked Leo and Cassidy and it was fun catching up with the other Silverstone couples. I'm hoping there will be a spinoff series with the guys from Fallport Search and Rescue who were briefly introduced in this book.

I have enjoyed every book in this series. This was a great finish and I hate to see it end. When Gramps recognizes the woman they are going to be rescuing as a women he know from high school, the rescue becomes personal. Having had feelings int he past for each other, it is only natural that they develop something when they are reunited.

Definitely a must read!

This is the story of Leo an Cassidy who met in high school and had mutual crushes on each other, but never let the other know. This book takes place decades later, after both have lived a lot of life. Cassidy has found herself in a situation she cannot get out of and writes letters to the FBI to help extract her and her son. The letters ultimately end up with Leo who remembers Cassidy from high school.

I have read quite a few of Susan Stocker's books, but I wasn't sure if I was going to like this one or not. I ended up really enjoying it and highly recommend. Strong 4 stars.

This is the story of Cassidy and Gramps, aka Leo, who grew up in El Paso and knew each other in high school. When word gets through to the FBA that she and her son are being held captive in Jamaica by a drug kingpin, Gramps vows to do whatever is necessary to free her. The only problem is the long reach that the drug scion has.
I loved this book. Even though it is part of a series, it reads as a stand-alone novel. It is a white-knuckle, action filled story that reads like an action flick. Susan Stoker has written a book that is a "complete"novel, with a detailed beginning, a full-bodied middle, and an epilog that gives you 4 HEA endings. Trusting Cassidy is the last book in this series and I love how the author tied everything and everyone in the epilog. 5 stars!
