It is always wonderful to be back with the Silverstone crew. I am always amazed and excited to see what type of plot SS will create for the suspense portion of the romance. More times than not, I am not disappointed. I absolutely love the relationship between Cassidy and her son. I wished the resolution was not resolved so quickly in the end. This was the last of the series and while I enjoyed it, weirdly I was not a fan of the epilogue. It all felt so abrupt.

I volunteered to read and review through NetGalley of of Trusting Cassidy . This story is spectacular from start to finish . This is the final book in the Silverstone series . They are all sensational . It's full of suspense and intrigue and definitely action packed . The characters are unique and wonderful . This an intense story . Cassidy Hewitt trying to make a better life for her son and herself goes to Jamaica to teach . She didn't realize the man she worked for was a drug lord . As things grow worse she prays for a rescue . She secretly sends letters to the FBI hoping to be rescued . Silverstone secret operative Leo (Gramps) Zanardi sees Cassidy's letters and knows they must rescue her son and Cassidy . Leo had a thing for Cassidy in highschool and he never had the nerve to speak up . He hopes maybe to have a chance with her after they make it out of Jamaica . Unfortunately Jamaica's trouble follows them home . This story is sensational . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

Leo Zanetti "Gramps" was a senior when Cassidy was a freshman, and even though he was attracted to her, he was reluctant to ask her out knowing he was immediately going into the military after high school. Now, years later, Cassidy is divorced with a young boy and living in Jamaica, imprisoned by her drug lord boss. Her desperate plea for help gets answered by the men of Silverstone, and Gramps goes in undercover. From the first, she knows she can trust him, but can she hide the crush she's always had for him enough not to blow his cover?
I think Gramps was the least talked about character in the series, but he finally got his story. Only in a romance novel would their meeting again be this wildly circumstantial, but it made for a tense plot with plenty of action. I love how Gramps related to Mario, but hated how the story fell kind of flat in the middle with not much going on. Overall a satisfactory end to a great series.

Trusting Cassidy is the last in the series and I have enjoyed all four books. This one we get to see Gramps trying to save Cassidy, the one that got away, from a drug lord. The beginning of the book is good and full of action, but then in the middle I felt like 5 chapters were on repeat without anything really happening and it just repeated the same information over and over, then the end picked up again. The epilogue was amazing and made up for the middle part that I floated over. Overall not my favorite of the series but still a pretty good book. 3.5 stars

Trusting Cassidy is the fourth book and conclusion in the Silverstone series. I enjoyed the series as it has some unique elements mixed in with what I expect from a book from this author. Gramps and Cassidy have known each other for a long time, and he will tell you she is the one who got away.

Cassidy’s strength to get her and her son out of a bad situation in Jamaica, and when Gramps and the Silverstone crew go in and get them back on US soil, the trouble follows. You will need to read the book from here to find out how they get out of this mess.

The best part of the book is the epilogue. It is nice to see where the Silverstone crew is in the future.
Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for the advanced copy: this is my voluntary review.

A heart racing end to this romantic suspense series as the men from Silverstone Towing take on one final mission. Now that Bull, Smoke and Eagle have found their true loves, will it be Gramps’ turn? Gramps, aka Leo Zarnardi, is determined to rescue a high school friend that finds herself trapped in Jamaica. To escape a controlling marriage, Cassidy Hewitt accepted the position of a live-in nanny. Her young son Mario accompanied her and now they are being held hostage in the home of a drug kingpin. She was able to secretly send letters to the FBI, asking for their help, but she fears they will never be rescued. When Leo arrives at the mansion, is he there to help her or is he also involved in the drug trade? With the help of his three comrades, will he be able to get her and her son safely away? When they arrive back in the states, is the threat over or will they have to continue to watch their backs? I enjoyed this romance involving a more mature couple, the suspense and the updates on the three previous couples. Leo and Cassidy deserve all the happiness!

Realizing that her job as a teacher in Jamaica has turned into a dangerous form of captivity, Cassidy smuggles out letters to the FBI asking for help to escape. That agency turns to Leo and his Silverstone team to investigate and follow up. Leo remembers Cassidy from high school as the one that got away, so he's more than willing to do whatever it takes to rescue her and her young son.

I loved Leo's character, his quiet strength, his plain-spoken declaration of his intentions to Cassidy, and his unwavering devotion to both her and her son. Cassidy is a force unto herself, a woman who can take care of herself but is smart enough to know when she's outmatched. Their romance was refreshingly sweet and uncomplicated; their HEA was hard-won and heartwarming.

Danger follows them back to the States, of course, giving us all the nail-biting suspense and explosive action we know to expect from this author. As the last book in the Silverstone series, we're also treated to an amazingly detailed extended epilogue for all four couples. If you've read any of the books in this series, you can't miss this one. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

If you have been following this series then you know that a message has been sent to the FBI from a woman employed as a nanny in a Jamaican what Cassidy didn't know when she took the job and took herself and her son Mario there was that her new employer is a drug lord. Now Cassidy and Mario's passports have been taken and they are prisoners at the mansion. Gramps "Leo" is a member of Silverstone and the only one who hasn't found the woman for him he also happens tp be the oldest of them all. When their FBI contact tells them about Cassidy we discover that she is the one that Leo let get away and the one he never got over. Soon he is on his way to Jamaica the only one who will be able to enter the mansion. Can he get Cassidy and Mario out and if he does will they be safe or will revenge follow them. I loved the perfect way this story ended as we got an epilogue of these couples years into the future

M/F Romance
Triggers: Human trafficking, drugs, murder.

Cassidy is trying to live her life while living in a prison of fear. She loves her son, Mario, and knows that if they can't escape soon, they never will. She cautiously creates a plan and hopes beyond all hope that someone will come to help them.

Gramps, AKA Leo, is the last man standing amongst his group of friends. When they receive a letter from the FBI and he knows the author, there is nothing that's going to stop him from going to her. Every job is personal, but this one is extra special.

As we watch the Silverstone Towing Company work their magic, Cassidy learns to trust and love and her son learns what true acceptance looks like.

I won't get into too much of the story, because it will give away all of the fun parts, but know that these men have a way of worming their way into your heart and you won't be disappointed. I suggest that you read all of the Silverstone Towing books in order, as you'll get the most out of them that way.

I can't wait for the next series!

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆
This is the fourth book in the series – and I would definitely recommend you read them all, as they are really good, and whilst each one was a new romance, the men of Silverstone Towing and their missions make for excellent reading.

Gramps, aka Leo, is the last man standing in the quartet. He can see that his friends are settling into married life, but he doesn't really think that he has that desire within him. Then a call from their handler in the FBI brings them a potential mission and a very familiar name is the person in need. I really liked the set up here – each story has been so individual, even if the woman in question has needed their help. Cassidy is stuck in Jamaica, as the childminder for a drug lord, her son also held on virtual house arrest.

The plan to free them is hatched and we get to see how the men work together to do good. Both Leo and Cassidy recognise the chemistry between them, that was there when they were at high school decades ago. However, Cassidy, in particular, is worried that it is circumstances that have made her feel that way, and you can hardly argue that men have been good to her in the past. It is delightful watching them find themselves as a potential couple.

I will not reveal more of the drama, but rest assured that we get some real insight into how the four men and their families move forward with their lives – compelling reading. Thank you, Susan Stoker.

The last in the Silverstone series, Trusting Cassidy ends the series on a bang! I was looking forward to Leo “Gramps” Zanardi's story from the very first book in the series. He's a bit older than the other Silverstone crew and a bit of a mystery. His story unfolded in Trusting Cassidy and it was worth the wait!

Trusting Cassidy has many of the characteristics of Stoker's books - swoon-worthy, alpha, but soft hearted protector, strong (no damsel in a distress here) heroine, fast-passed suspense and action, and great connections between the protector and the heroine. I especially liked wrote Cassidy and her son Mario. Cassidy has had many blows in life - verbally abusive husband and then a drug-lord employer turned kidnapper/prison warden. With many of Stoker's books (and romance-suspense books in general) you do have to suspend a little reality. Gramps happens to find out about Cassidy and Mario's imprisonment and makes it his duty to free them.

Twists and turns later, Trusting Cassidy ends the series on a great note with an update on each previous character at the end.

Trusting Cassidy the fourth and final story in the Silverstone Series is an enjoyable conclusion to what has been an entertaining series. Although this one is not as packed with suspense and danger as I anticipated. But it did keep me engaged as the team of four head to Jamaica to rescue Cassidy and her son Mario. Who have been pretty much held prisoner for five years by a ruthless drug lord.

And I really liked the romance that developed between Gramps and Cassidy, who have previous history together and the fact that the pair are more mature characters. Furthermore, I liked that Mario wasn't your typical eleven year old and that Gramps embraces him for whom he is and encourages him to flourish which I found remarkably sweet especially considering Gramps is your ultimate alpha male.

And with plenty of catch up from the rest of the crews family, including weddings, babies and a look well into the future this was a lovely read and a wonderful end to the series.

Cassidy and her son are trapped in Jamaica by a drug lord. Cassidy reaches out to the FBI for help. Gramps/Leo and his team are sent in. Leo has a vested interest in this rescue. Leo knew Cassidy in high school and had a crush on her. This book is part of a series and can be read as a stand alone. This is what I did but I feel to get the best from the book you would be better off reading the rest of the series first.
Susan Stoker loves to torture the heroines in her books and this one is no different. Although I enjoyed the story, it was interesting but after the first rescue you know that there’s going to be another crisis it’s just a matter of time. For me the best part was the epilogue, I’ve never read one like this before and for me this made the book. I wish more books had this at the end of the series. I received this book from NetGalley and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Whew! I love Silverstone Towing. What a great series and a great ending. Loved Leo and Cassidy.

Great story!

Gramps aka Leo is what really made this last book in the series for me. He's the oldest of the group, which explains his nickname, and also the last one to find his happily ever after. He's the kind of hero I adore because he's very protective and really treated, not only Cassidy great but her son Mario, as well. Mario had not been treated very well my most males in his life which made Gramps care of him even sweeter. You could just see that he would do anything for these two. The only negative I have is that the book dragged a bit in the middle. However, I loved the we got an extended epilogue for al the couples and their kids. This has been a great series to read and I do highly recommend it.

A huge fan of Susan Stoker’s books. And I am enjoyed the Silverstone series. Cassidy and Gramps are a wonderful couple. They complement each other very well. How all of the books series are intertwined and we get to see other characters throughout all the different series. I am sad that Silverstone is over but I can’t wait to see where we go next.

This final installment of Silverstone was at first a solid 4 rating but the more I read, the most I understood Cassidy. I like how Susan gave her the cojones to stand up for those she loved even though she was scared out of her wits. At first I thought she was okay, not a great heroine, until she made the decision that changed the dynamic of the story.

I call dibs on Gramps. He is a little older (as is Cassidy) which I love and he is super-alpha-uber-yummy. Who would not want a man who is all in (okay a lot of them are). He was extra special. A real hero.

I have to tell you, it might have been when I read the story, or it might have been just me, but this story has me boo-hooing throughout the entire story. At first just a little then all out cryfest. Sign of a good book? You bet.

A little hint of the next series? I think maybe.

I could not put it down. I was sad to see this series end. But what a series’s. Gramps is the last of the group to find his love. The love he’s to find is currently locked in a mansion by a drug lord. Cassidy needs to get her and her son home. When she recognizes the drug load G as being the man she loved all her life, can she trust him?

Trusting Cassidy is the fourth and final book in Susan Stoker’s Silverstone series. This book is an action packed, second chance romantic suspense novel with a happily ever after. It can be read as a stand alone, but reading it in order with give the reader a better appreciation for the characters and the series itself.

Cassidy Hewitt and Leo “Gramps” Zanardi have loved each other from afar for over two decades, but life choices, fear and bad timing has kept them apart. Trapped in Jamaica with her son by an infamous drug kingpin, Cassidy manages to send secret letter to the FBI asking for help. When “Gramps” sees the letters he will do everything in his power to rescue and reunite with the women who should have been his years ago.
WOW! An amazing end to a fantastic series. Stoker does an amazing job wrapping up all the storylines within Silverstone Towing with detailed epilogues for each of the characters which provide more details about their happily every afters.

I've enjoyed all the various series (and there's quite a few!) that Ms. Stoker has written and I really connected with the men of Silverstone Towing and their very brave and courageous women, most especially Taylor. I was looking forward to reading Gramps/Leo's story based on the little snippets we got in the previous 3 books but unfortunately (and I hate to say that) it kind of fell flat for me. I didn't feel the connection between Leo and Cassidy and I honestly felt like the story dragged on too long. The best part and the part I enjoyed the most was the epilogue -- reading about all the couples and what had transpired after they went forward with their lives. That was a nice way to wrap up this series and give it a nice closure. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

*4.5 Stars!!

Four former military operatives take on what could be their final mission to rescue a teacher and her young son from a drug kingpin whilst trying to get back home to there families in one piece.

This book follows Leo also known fondly as 'Gramps' and Cassidy. Cassidy and her son Mario move to Jamaica for a new start after her divorce but things take a turn for the worst when instead of a happy new start they find themselves being held hostage, with time running out Cassidy secretly sends information to the FBI about the drug operation hoping that they will be rescued instead of the FBI she finds herself coming face to face with the one that got away unsure of who's side he's on and what lies ahead of them.

I really enjoyed this book, I liked how Leo and Mario's relationship so easily slid into the role of father and son and that Leo didn't even bat an eye when finding out that Mario wasn't interested in sports and wanted to do what was seen as a girly activity. I also liked Leo's protectiveness towards Mario when Cassidy said that she wished that Mario wasn't gay. "What's important is that you don't give up and you have fun. Life's too short to get sucked into negativity." Leo to Mario.

I've found in a lot of these stories the women becomes to reliant on the love interest/man that saves them and they don't take time to find out what life on their own terms is like but in this the female lead decided straight away that she was going to stay as independent as she could, find a home and job so Mario could have all the things that he's missed out on. Loved how the whole group were all very welcoming to them and making them at ease straight away, it seemed like they had all known each other for years instead of just meeting.

I found the characters to be well thought out and liked them all accept the bad guys of course, I also wasn't very keen on the ex husband and didn't feel much for him though I did feel a little bad for his ending but liked how finally after being a bad husband/father he showed that there was still a little good in him. I did tear up slightly when Cassidy constantly blamed herself for all the things Mario missed out on especially when he didn't no how to play with a stick or how his eyes lit up when he saw the pantry full of snacks that he was actually allowed to have.

I thought the ending of this book was done so brilliantly really loved how we saw how each of their lives turned out over the years and what directions there family/friends life's had taken. Perfect conclusion to the series.

There was one thing I had to ask though, why didn't the FBI contact Cassidy when she left Jamaica? Even though they had enough information to take down the remaining drug empire I would still have thought that they would have had questions for her anyway.

This is the fourth and final book in the series and each book can be read as a stand alone but each book might contain some spoilers from the previous ones. There are some trigger warnings below please take these into consideration before reading this book. Mentions of sexual assaults, date rape drug, forced injection of drugs, Erotica, gay character.
