Thoroughly enjoyed the style, approach and narrative of this book. There were unexpected twists and turns that keep me turning the pages and swept me along with the fast paced, challenging and varied lifestyle that Rob has led since leaving the army.
I enjoyed this book more than his first, I feel his experience as an author as grown and this gives a better experience for the reader. Even in this book I felt he could have given us more detail but I do understand that some things are probably still off limits.
Highly recommend the book.

Its a long time since I read the authors previous book 'Fishers of Men' and I read it again prior to reading this follow up.

No longer part of the big green military machine adapting to civilian life wasn't as straightforward as Mr Lewis probably would have liked, but adapt he did and it wasn't long before old friends and contacts proved invalueable in helping him forge a lucrative career for himself in close protection, surveillance and private security.

It was certainly a swift learning curve and an interesting read as he put his skills to good use, his jobs taking him all over the world as well as some less salubrious accomodations a bit closer to home.

Well written and never dull. Recommended

Covering the authors career from leaving the British Army, this book covers the author working the "circuit" in both close protection and private investigation. It also covers him running a business in shipping protection on the coast of Somalia.
A really enjoyable read, written in a very relaxed style which always left you wanting more.
It would have been nice to have a date on different parts of his career and a little more detail on some of the operations but those points are very minor.
Thoroughly recommended, I am going to check out the authors first book now!

Having read 'Fishers of Men' when it was first published, I was intrigued to read this 'update'. I can honestly say that I was not disappointed, it's a brilliant read. Rob's writing is easily digestible and he definitely has a knack of keeping it simple whilst immersing the reader in the storyline. Would recommend.
