I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

I found this to be a cluttered storyline. Each theme would be great as a stand-alone story: getting DNA, tracking down an adult who was adopted as a baby and reuniting with her birth family and a ONS resulting in a baby. Combined the two storylines didn’t particularly gel together and Vijay wasn’t a particularly likeable character.

I received this book via Netgalley and Mills and Boon in exchange for a honest review. I am a #MillsAndBoonInsider #netgalley #gifted

A story of discovery
Vijay is a security consultant and software developer who has come to Milan to try and get a DNA sample from model Oriel, who is suspected to be the secret daughter of a famous Bollywood actress
I loved Oriel, she is a successful model but also a really genuine person. She adores her adoptive parents and has been with them since she was a baby and they love her and support her in whatever she does. She is strong and determined but also nervous when it comes to finding out about her birth parents which I totally understand and which made her seem more genuine and made me adore her more
I’m not going to lie, I really didn’t like Vijay at the start of the book. He only went to see Oriel with one agenda, to get her DNA, and he seemed kind of creepy in the manner he went about it. However as the story developed and I understood why he did what he did and the reason for the underhandedness I started to like him more as a character. He would do anything for his sister and very quickly that grew to include Oriel, however his redeeming traits did get a knock back when he didn’t treat Oriel as well as she should and even though he had his reasons I struggled with it. He does however change over the book and by the end I did start to love him as a character and could better see what drew Oriel to him
Although Oriels adoption becomes one of the main parts of the story, I still really enjoyed reading about her relationship with her adoptive parents, the are a true family and whilst I could understand Oriels curiosity about her birth parents, she always knew that her parents would be there for her no matter what
Both Oriel and Vijay have trouble trusting, especially in relationships where they may get hurt and seeing them start to realise what is important and their emotions as things happen made them feel so much more real to me. I could totally see this story happening in real life and I think that, along with so much else, had me hooked and addicted to this book. I became so invested in the characters and their story and I wish that the book was longer so I didn’t have to say goodbye to Oriel and Vijay
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy a romance with a lot of drama and some unexpected twists that will have you hooked

Vijay is on a mission to save his sister from the man who says he is in love with her but Vijay thinks he is using her so he sets out to prove that what he says about a secret niece is wrong. Vijay needs to steal some DNA from Oriel to get rid of his sister's boyfriend once and for all but when he breaks into Oriel's hotel room he gets more than he bargained for and finds himself instantly attracted to her, but can their night of passion lead to more.
I enjoyed the settings of this book but found it a little frustrating that when Vijay talks about trust so much he sees nothing really wrong in lying to Oriel when they first met.

A one night stand that has repercussions.

A sweet romance of mixed cultures, death, adoption, marriage, siblings and families.

Bringing this all together with a happy ever after ending in this emotional romantic story.

A lot is going on in this story. It's full of emotion, mystery and passionate romance between a couple who have self-esteem issues and unanswered questions in their past. It is glamorous, but beneath the glitz are two people who long for a partner who values them.

Their first meeting leads to unexpected passion, which draws them together. There's a mystery to solve and many conflicts before they can achieve the happiness they deserve. The two main protagonists are likeable, and the plot has interesting twists to keep the reader engaged.

I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Rather far fetched romp across continents, involving a look at models, screen stars, opera singers and tech consultants. Lots of twists and surprises that were totally unexpected but also totally bonkers and highly unlikely. Still, a good read if you suspend belief!
