Great book that really got my kids involved - whether it be counting the family or shouting out 'Watch out Leonard'. Illustrations were really cute too - great all round book.

Look Out, Leonard! is one of those cute books that your children would want to read over and over again. The illustrations are amazing, and the characters are cute and informative enough. I'd love to gift this to many little children. Excellent work!

Pleasant bit of silliness this, it concerns a young shrew who's supposed to grab on to the tail of a sibling so the family can walk to their new jungle home, but the daft brush grabs on to everything else going, except his own species. The art is certainly colourful, and tries its best to animate Leonard's slapstick adventures, but at the same time there are gaps in what could have been provided to show his motion – his surviving the crocodiles is the case in point. It's all designed to be joined in with and laughed along to, and the title should be shouted out as loud as possible, though, so quibbles aren't really relevant. It's a lively volume designed to prove the appeal of books in general, and would probably succeed in that just fine.

Look out, Leonard! is a story about a family of shrews who needed to move house but because they don't have the greatest of eyesight, poor Leonard kept holding on to the wrong animals tails instead of his siblings. Leonard eventually found his way to his family. I think children will love this adventure book. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I read this book with my daughter who has just turned 4 and she loved it!

She thought that Leonard was great and loved saying “Look Out, Leonard!”

As a mum I liked that she was able to get involved, she really enjoyed the story and the illustrations were great, it was well written and a great length too to keep her attention.

It is 4 stars from me for this one – highly recommended!

A fun adventure about Leonard the shrew who keeps on grabbing things that are not his family’s tails and getting lost in the jungle! Funny, vibrant illustrations add to the story that will appeal and delight young children (age 6 and under).
