This was sweet - I used to not be a romance person, I could never get into them to stick til the end. But it’s authors like this one, who write a cute, movie worthy but realistic romance, that finally got me to stick around. I loved listening to this on my drives to and from work and I recommended it to anyone who is looking for a little pick me up.

I was disappointed not to get the book but
I was approved on audio which I was chuffed about as I listened quicker on car journeys and cleaning etc than I would have had the 9 hours to read it myself.
This story was a little bit of me! I loved the author and the narrator on this audiobook.
I guess the ending was clichè typical boy meets girl, but I enjoyed the twists and the character pop ups. I would love to know who would play Declan in a movie!
This is a great summer read for romantic lovers and chick lit fans!
Thank you bookature and NetGalley for the audio arc in exchange for this review

This right here is a perfect summer novel.. Even though by the time I had read, the summer was long gone in India. This read was full of surprises. I didn't know what exactly to expect so I went into this fairly unknown and I loved how unique, funny and interesting the characters were. They all felt real and nuanced. Sarah and Declan had so much chemistry that I was invested completely into the story! I wished I didn't read it on audio though! The robotic voice was so bad!

Rating: 4/5

Not going to lie, this one took a bit to get into. After a bit, I started to enjoy the story a lot! The narration was really good, and I liked her Irish accent! The banter between Sarah and Declan was hilarious and made me giggle. I repeat, GIGGLE!!! It’s rare that I do that when I read but it happened!

Sarah is the maid of honor at her best friend's wedding all the way in Ireland. It just so happens that the best man was her last one night stand who she had trouble getting out the door of her apartment in New York. She wasn’t supposed to see Declan Murphy again, and most definitely did not fall for his charm and good looks during her trip. He leaves her flustered and finds herself getting embarrassed more than enough times whenever he’s around. But, when Sarah goes back to New York, she can’t help but have Declan stuck on her mind. No matter how hard she tries to get rid of the thoughts of him, there’s always something that brings up the memories of him.

The only problems I had with the book was that the main character frustrated me towards the end. She kept changing her mind about things which I don’t mind if it was once or twice. But it was probably around four times. However, the writing was really good, and the romance was *chef’s kiss*! This story took me by surprise and I loved it! Not only did it have a great romance plot, it also had an amazing friendship one. It wasn’t focused solely on romance, which I did like. It showed the struggles of friends growing up and taking new steps in their lives.

Overall, I highly recommend this romcom book! I loved the audiobook and the narrator!! Go read or listen to this now!!!

Ok, I absolutely loved this rom-com, and it came around exactly when I needed it. After a stressful few weeks, this rom-com gave me LIFE!

Here's what I loved:
1) Setting: part of the setting is in Ireland, and two of the characters are Irish. The narrator did a bang-up job of rocking the Irish accent.
2) Sarah, the main character, is FUNNY! She isn't the only funny character, but dang do I love me some witty main characters. It reminded me of Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating, which is absolutely one of my favorite (maybe my absolute favorite) rom-com.
3) Declan is also amazing. I'll read his character any day.
4) I enjoyed the story as it gave me Grey's Anatomy Pilot Episode vibes. Oops--I had a one-night stand, but even bigger oops...this guy is going to need to be in my presence because of circumstances outside of my control. Dang it brought me back to Episode 1...what, about 20 year ago!
5) There was just enough drama/humor/sap/romance to balance it all out.

I loved this book, and I will definitely read more from Catherine Walsh. Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC.

One Night Only is a super cute rom-com, that had me laughing out loud and not wanting to turn it off. The narrator did a fabulous job and I throughly enjoyed it.

Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for the audio ARC. #NetGalley #OneNightOnly

I had a great time listening to this one. Sometimes I need to break things up with a rom com, and this one was the breath of fresh air I needed.
Sarah and Declan were constantly involved in something or other, making this super fast paced, and free of monotonous tones that could have dragged this down.
I will admit, I wasn’t sure how much I really liked Sarah in the beginning, but I definitely warmed up to the character.
And Declan. He was such a sweetheart wrapped up in a bad boy exterior, and I loved seeing his involvement in making things happen between them.
Overall, this was fun and I would definitely read or listen to more from this author.

If you haven’t read this RUN AND GET IT!!! I was shocked when I found out that this is Catherine Walsh’s debut novel! While this didn’t have the steaminess factor that makes my all time favorite romances, this story was SO GOOD!! I never wanted this book to end!!! Highly recommend the audiobook because these men with the Irish accents was just EVERYTHING

Catherine Walsh's One Night Only is a cute romance that's like, love to hate to friendship to hate to love. It was really cute most of the time, and I enjoyed the read.
There was only one thing that really didn't sit well with me, and that is just how much Sarah questioned everyone's motives. One negative thing happened and she would just completely shut down and try to ruin her relationships - it was bizarre.

I'm not really a listener of audio-books. Aside of a couple of children's books I can't remember if I ever listened to a narrated book!
And I loved this one! I guess I got hooked.
I liked the narrator and I liked the story and I enjoyed the experience.

One Night Only is exactly what the title said. Sarah is a one night stand girl, who doesn't do second dates after her heart got broken and her mother cheated on her father and left them when she was 13. Until she met her one night stand at her best friend wedding in Ireland.

Oh my god this book!
Oh I absolutely loved this! The story, the narration, the characters, the humour, the excellent Irish accent...it all just hit the spot!

I loved the fiery romance between Declan and Sarah. However, I did not like the length of this book - I felt that it could’ve been a lot shorter. Also, I felt that there were parts that were super confusing, but it could’ve been because I listened to the book via audiobook.

Thanks netgalley for sending me an arc

One night only was gripping and hilarious I found myself laughing out loud multiple times through out the book. The characters were all so love able and realistic that it made everything so much better. It is a fun rom com story that I think everyone should read. The writing was amazing and it felt like I was inside Sarah’s head and granted she was very funny and I laughed at her thoughts sometimes. Declan and Sarah’s relationship was very realistic with its ups and downs it certainly wasn’t a fairy tail. And the side characters made it all the better Paul and Annie were so adorable they were goals and I will never forget there wedding.

Jessica regan’s narrating also made it hard to stop listing I will definitely be listening to more audio books and reading more of Catherine Walsh’s books

This story was funny, entertaining and an absolutely perfect beach read. I fell in love with Declan and eventually came around to liking Sarah also (although her commitment issues were HUGE!). The settings, the cast of characters, and the situations they find themselves in were so engaging that I didn't want to put this down. Definitely exceeded my expectations as when something is billed as really funny or laugh out loud comedy, I usually don't agree but this one was hilarious in all the right places.

This was a very fun audiobook. The narrator was so fun to listen too. And how can you not fall for a one night stand like Declan Murphy!?

This was a cute book! From one-night-stand to maybe more? I found it hilarious that someone gave this book 1 star because a 17 y/o and a 20 y/o have consensual sex (This event was in the past. The book is an adult book in that it's about adults. I didn't find it all that steamy). It's not disgusting people, give me a break. Yes, illegal in most of the United States but not illegal in Ireland where it took place so calm the eff down ya baby. 18 and 21 and you'd be fine? Simmer down.

Anywho, Irish men yesss please all day and all night! The narrator herself is Irish and did a lot more American accents than Irish so sometimes she slipped a little on her American accent, it was cute. Irish accents are so melodic and lilty. So yes I enjoyed this book a lot. It was fun and flirty and a little bit broken hearty but just an all-around good time.

Slutty New Yorker specialises in one night stands, not even bothering with names. Said lifestyle leads to complications during life of drunken nights out.
Not exactly my cup of tea.

I really enjoyed this book. It's quite fast paced and action packed – it feels a little like there's always something happening to each of the characters.

I would have loved a little more focus on the Irish wedding. Irish people are known for throwing lively and entertaining weddings that span entire weekends, and I feel we didn't see enough of that.

It was really refreshing to see a male love interest be so into the female love interest. I loved seeing a guy who was invested in making things work.

I felt a plot point with one of Sarah's co-workers was only included for unnecessary conflict and could easily have been left out.

Overall, a really enjoyable story.

[Thanks Netgalley for the ebook. This review is my honest opinion but just another opinion, you should read this book and judge it by yourself]

//AUDIOBOOK REVIEW// -Ebook review below-

I couldn't stand the audiobook. I also had a digital copy of this book, so I started the audiobook, had to put it away, read the ebook and then listen to the rest of the book.
I found the female MC annoying at the beginning of the book but she was insufferable in the audiobook narration. The voice of the narrator was bland, listless and made the story quite annoying. Also, the pace of the narration is a little slow but it's just my personal taste, I love a more vivid kind of narration. I'm sure had I never read the book before I wouldn't liked the story.
Eventually you get used to the voice and pace and enjoy more the story but to me the damage was done. I recommend the book but no the audiobook.

//EBOOK REVIEW//I had a great time with this story! I must confess I wasn't expecting anything fron this story and I started the reading with a great dislike for the female MC but the easy writing, the fun story and characters and the lovely male MC undid my first impression. That sort of things and Sarah's evolution turned what I thought was going to be an annoying reading into a delightful one.
The story isn't new but the narration is fresh and funny. I had a great time reading it and I was sad to finish it. A lovely and funny debut! I will surely read Catherine Walsh's next book.

//SPANISH REVIEW//

With thanks to #Netgalley and #BookoutureAudio for an ARC of #OneNightOnly by #CatherineWalsh.
Sarah Anderson lives in New York and is due to be maid of honour at her best friends wedding back in Ireland.
When she gets there, she comes face to face with Declan Murphy, the best man, and the last man Sarah had a one night stand with back in New York.
Could their attraction become something special or will their connection remain nothing more than a one night stand?

What a fabulously funny, warm and romantic read.
A real joy from start to finish.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great narration by Jessica Regan.
