This short book of poems focuses on the theme of love, in particular the negative aspects of love. The poems are short and to the point- love has affected this author in a way that they cannot overcome, as much as they want to. I can say that a few of the poems I personally connected with and they reflected feelings I was unable to put into words.

I would recommend this book of poems if you are struggling with some aspect of love in your life and want a way to have it put into words.

This collection would be a good intro to anyone who doesn't read a ton of poetry. If you're an avid consumer of poetry, I might pass on this though. It was pretty.... surface level.

This collection of poems navigates love’s place in the human experience. I place emphasis on “the place of love” because I believe that every poet is driven by a certain shade of love to birth the deepest of poetic pieces. I loved this book.
