All that’s left of Tilda’s family is the bookshop she’s inherited from her beloved grandmother. Although she tries her best to keep the shop afloat, money is constantly tight and the worries never stop. The only way to quieten her mind after a stressful day at work is to dance tango, especially when her teacher of the day is Alé, a charming Argentinian who never gets close to anyone and seems to have no real friends and relationships. As Tilda and Alé grow closer, they have to learn how to open up to one another and how to overcame the need to protect oneself from love and loss.

When I started this book, I wasn’t entirely convinced by it. I had the impression it would end up being the usual romance novel with lots of misunderstandings and good looking men, but it turned out to be something different. First of all, it’s a very well done slow-burn romance, and the main characters have believable reasons to resist love and all that it entails. Second, I really appreciated that tango was one of the characters itself. It’s an important part of the narration and it’s not - as I feared it would be - just in the title in order to attract readers and to bring some “colour” to the book. This one was a very nice and pleasant read and it kept me company during a series of long trips. Recommended.

this book was amazing! its about alejandro who’s a dance instructor, who got injured earlier which costed him a tango championship title. i loved him!! it’s also about tilda who’s trying to keep her family’s buisness afloat while also taking time for her dance classes (with her dance instructor: alejandro).
i felt so bad for both characters who were going through a lot / went through a lot and their love story was heartwarming and so cute. they had ton of sexual tension and their chemistry is unmatched!! the fact that it was slowburn made it 10x better.
overall i really enjoyed this story and ill definitely read more book by the author when she releases other ones

What a wonderful novel with a slow burn romance that will keep you wanting more! This novel had the ability to really mesmerize you and transport you a world of dance.

The story follows Alejandro and Tilda, two people with complicated and troubled pasts. They both have their own problems to face, and set up walls to protect them from ever getting hurt. When a forbidden kiss, a sultry dance, and an undeniable desire threatens to break those walls down, they are left questioning what they believe.

While the story had some hot, intimate scenes between the two characters, the dance scenes is what really will steal your heart! You could almost feel the sexual tension radiating off of them with each scene! They had such wonderful chemistry both on and off the dance floor, and you can't help rooting for these characters to get their happy ending! I also loved the friendship that they had with each of the supporting characters as well, especially Betty and George!

I do wish there was more of a distinction of how much time was passing in between chapters, but overall, it was such an enjoyable read!
