Book two in this series follows Star, Kara’s best friend.

Star was 16 when she had her daughter and has brought her up alone. Despite the obstacles Star is a successful business owner but feels like her life is missing some romance.

Will Star find her forever?

I can’t wait to read book three.

Well I have waited so long to read this book. having loved Welcome to Ferry Lane Market and I certainly wasn't disappointed at all. It is a wonderful read.
Steren "Star" Bligh is best friends with Kara Moon and is a single girl who has brought up her daughter, Skye, on her own since she was 16. This story has so many layers to it, it discusses her relationship with her mother, her Auntie Flo, with her daughter, Skye, as well as Kara and the other character that live in Hartmouth. You know that Star is left wondering who her father is and her mother Estelle will not tell. Will she ever find out who her father is?
Star meets Big Frank's nephew Conor and she begins to feel that she could have a relationship with someone after all these years but she is still left thinking about Jack, Kara's airbnb visitor from the previous book. Will Star finally decide where her heart lies?
I truly loved this book, I love Star as a character, so real and I loved being able to find out more about the other residents, such as Kara and Billy, Joe and Pearl. I really loved hearing about Star in the first book and she has to be my favourite character by far.
All in all, this series of books have to be read. I found myself picking the book up at any opportunity to find out that little bit more about Star and I cannot wait again now to find out more in the next instalment.....I'm left counting the days!
Thank you Hodder and Stoughton, Nicola May and Netgalley for the opportunity of reading this book as an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Starry Skies in Ferry Lane Market is Book 2 in the series, following Star Bligh, the resident jewelry and crystal store owner. I enjoyed the story from start to finish, there was not a moment of rest for Star as she goes through the roller coaster of emotions and ends up finding what she was looking for - Love. It was also lovely catching up with the characters from Book 1 as they got in their time in the limelight too.

I do love a bit of Ferry Lane! Such great characters who draw you in & carry you along. Star Bligh is a single mum who has had a difficult upbringing but has made good by owning STAR Crystals & Jewellery shop. She makes bespoke jewellery too & has many customers. Is love in the air for Star or is a complicated life going to get in the way? A great stand alone book but I recommended all of the other Ferry Lane books too.

I was hooked by the first book in this series so couldn’t wait for the return and to focus more on Star, a character I had loved previously. Having a child at 16 she thought her life was over but she worked hard and now has a wonderful daughter, a thriving jewellery business and great friends. Everything is going well, except for being single. She fell hard for American Jack during his recent stay and now she can’t communicate with him, she can’t get him out of her mind.
Handsome Conor comes and sweeps her off her feet, he is great; handsome and charming, full of confidence but treats her well. He is practically everything Star could ever need, so why does she feel something is not right. Unexpected revelations, interesting rendezvous and confessions of epic proportions kept me hooked, I couldn’t put this one down. So much happening, it was non-stop but very enjoyable. Massive changes are afoot for Star and it is a blessing for all.
Nicola May always created characters you love and this is no exception, it was lovely to catch up with the old favourites as well as Star. It sounds like such a wonderful community – I wish I could visit and meet all these people!
Highly recommended.

Having read the first in the Ferry Lane Market series, I was pretty excited to be able to visit again, especially since the author, Nicola May has created a fantastic cast of memorable characters, and I wanted to find out more about what was going on,
This book is centred around Steren, or Star to her friends and family, a single mother, with several layers to her own story, as well as her background. Being the product of a single-parent family, herself, and one which wasn't the best, she has been determined to be the opposite to her own daughter, Skye, though, she, like her own mother, has been hesitant to let Skye know the identity of her father.
Skye is now older, with a life of her own, and it's time for Star to think about herself more. Two prospective partners on the horizon; one unavailable, one she's not sure of, though he's a loveable Irish hunk...
Across the market, other stories unravel, bringing the community together in ways they never imagined.
I loved how this story ended, and can't wait for book three, now!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Hodder and Stoughton for an ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

Multi-layered characters in a heart-wrenching story

Starry Skies in Ferry Lane Market is a story about the effects of a troubled past, hard choices, and questionable decisions.

Star came from a broken home, had a drug-addicted parent, and was a teenage mother for her daughter Skye.

She was a business owner, a mindful daughter, and a worried parent, but the past still played a massive role in who she was and how she saw the world.

I found the story very touching, and the emotional conflicts felt very real. Star was not the typical rom-com heroine; she was very flawed and layered, strong, and at the same time vulnerable.

There was a romantic triangle, but I did not see it as the center of the story. I don't want to give spoilers, so I will not enter in details, but I honestly think she would be better off remaining single (lol).

I enjoyed the scenery, the sense of friendship and community, and how Star overcame insurmountable obstacles and emotional pain.

Warnings: cheating, drugs, unprotected sex.

Disclosure: I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley for an honest review.

When Star Bligh got pregnant at the age of sixteen, she thought her life was over. Now thirty-three, mother to Skye and owner of the successful jewellery stall in Ferry Lane Market in Hartmouth, Cornwall, she wouldn't change a thing about it.
Well, maybe one. A few months ago she fell hard for American visitor Jack, but then he left without even saying goodbye and ever since she has struggled to get him out of her head. Until the handsome, roguish Conor turns up and sweeps her off her feet. But then one day, Star is shocked to bump into Jack. He's back in Hartmouth to tell her why he left - but is she ready to listen?
As things get more complicated with her love life, another revelation threatens to turn the lovely world she has built for her and Skye upside down. But could this be the one thing that will make it complete

Thank you to Netgally, the publishers but most of all Nicola May for allowing me to read this little gem!
As a follow it can sometimes be difficult to recapture the same atmosphere within a story but Nicola May manages it effortlessly. This latest instalments feels like a continuation of the first book and for that i am truly grateful! Heartwarming, cozy and laugh out loud at times this book is the perfect addition to your autumnal reading list. (as long as you dont mind losing 3 hours as you wont be able to put it down!) Loved it

As beautifully written and heartwarmingly charming as its predecessor, Starry Skies In Ferry Lane is full of heart, friendship and romance—it’s undeniably cozy and utterly addictive!

When Star Bligh got pregnant at sixteen she thought her life was over. Now, aged thirty three-a mother to Skye and owner of a successful jewellery stall in Ferry Lane Market, she wouldn’t change a single thing. Except maybe one...

After falling hard for American visitor Jack a few months ago (after his leaving suddenly and blocking all communication with her) Star has struggled to get him out of her head. Until the handsome and roguish Conor turns up and sweeps her off her feet. Then, Star is left shocked to discover that Jack is back and has returned to explain why he left—but is Star truly ready to listen?

As things get more complicated in her love life and more revelations threaten to turn the life she’s build for herself and Skye upside down, could this be the one thing to finally make it complete?

This was absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed being back at Ferry Lane Market and am just soo happy that Star got her own book. Getting to delve into Star’s past was really enlightening and it definitely shed light on her cautiousness when it comes love and relationships.

Honestly, I already loved her in the previous book, but the insight into everything she has endured and experienced has cemented her as my absolute fave resident of Hartmouth.

I also loved getting to revisit some other residents such as Kara, Billy, Jo and Pearl—it honestly felt like revisiting old friends.

Overall, a heartwarmingly cosy and compelling read that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Also, thanks to Hodder&Stoughton and NetGalley for the e-arc.

Lovely to be back in Ferry Lane Market. Loved Pearl. The priest what can you say. Took a bit to get into. But then you were hooked. Some lovely twists. The ring story was great. The twins and the bond was amazing . I won’t spoil it. I look forward to the next one

Ferry Lane Market in Hartmouth Cornwall, has developed into a close community with everything available from general produce to special and original gifts for loved ones. One successful stall holder is single mother Star who makes and sells jewellery. Star has had a difficult life, pregnant at sixteen and bringing up her daughter Skye without any help from her hippy dippy mother. Star falls for visitor Jack and feels deserted when he returns to America without a goodbye after only one day together.

When Conor arrives in Hartmouth, Star's life improves, he's a handsome charmer who she could so easily love. Except at the back of Star's mind there's always Jack.

Events occur and secrets are revealed, all changing Star's life completely.

Evidently this is the second book in the Ferry Lane Market series, I missed the first and will now have to return to book one and read them in the 'wrong' order. This seems a great series, each one is a stand-alone.

4.5 stars as I really liked it. Not many books are 'amazing' and will earn 5*.

ARC generously supplied by Hodder & Stoughton and NetGalley, this review is my honest opinion and completely unbiased.

This was a lovely continuation of life in Ferry Lane Market with Kara and Billy’s romance continuing but with Star’s story taking precedent. Star is such a level headed person, she was a young mum but knuckled down to make a life for herself and raise her daughter Skye well in spite of her own background, with Skye now making a life for herself it was good to see Star thinking about having a life of her own. I think the older family influences in her life were well drawn together and revelations about her past and present really drove the story. It was good to catch up with the other Ferry Lane Market characters too, the book has a really warm vibe and makes for a lovely relaxing read.

Wow so good to be back in ferry lane market and to catch up on the lives of Kara and star, an idyllic seaside location, fabulous community spirit and great characters make for a brilliant second book totally addictive and compelling to read!
Kara and Star have been friends for life, growing up together, confiding in each other and generally just there when needed, they have seen each other through relationship breakdowns, teenage angst, pregnancy, family issues and everything in between, Kara now settled and in love would love the same to happen to Star who is still totally hung up on her previous one day stand Jack! Throughout the book we follow Stars complicated love life and new revelations are revealed surprising Kara and Star but further cementing their relationship! I loved everything about this book the familiarity of the setting, and seeing the progression of the characters both new and old and can’t wait for book three! Really didn’t want this book to end! Would highly recommend to all!
Thank you netgalley for this early read!
