As with other books in this set this English version is just a good. I like the layout and the pages are bright and colourful. Ideal for someone who's first language isn't English. I love how colourful the pages are. Set out in sections for learning 5 different things each day then a test at the end of the week to see what you remember. There is audio aswell on the DK website which I found brilliant and a great addition to this book. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I understand the principle behind this book but I am not sure how well it would work. The book aims to introduce children to new word 5 at a time each day. The problem I have is that learning to say the words is one element of learning, another is then being able to see the item and name it. Then there comes reading and spelling. All in all the book tries to do too much too quickly, for the skills needed are very different. I would be interested in the research behind this and which children it is aimed at. Is it children new to English or children with vocabulary difficulties?
A good idea but not properly thought out.

I read this ARC for an honest review
All thoughts an opinions are mine

First of all, a bit of a gripe - I could only read this on my netgalley app on my phone so small screen and a bit of a faff

I would have preferred this to be available as a mobi so I could read this on my kindle and get the full experience

Having said that, This is a great resource. Set out week by week. Really colourful and fun for children

I would recommend this and would have given 5 stars - lopped 1 off due to not being a mobi form

This book will be highly useful for my job role. I like the easy to understand instructions at the front of book. Pictures and activities are great. Perfect addition to the series.
