This one wasn’t for me at all, I couldn’t connect with the characters, which meant I wasn’t really involved with the story or cared what happened to them, so it’s a sad no from me as it sounded so good

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Okay I loved this.
My review is a bit delayed purely because I got slack with them for a while (health reasons).

This was everything I needed in a trashy, but good trashy fantasy romance. Angels, demons, romance, good, evil etc.

Definitely similar to what I've read before but also still loved it wholeheartedly.

My only critique is it could probably use another round of editors. Otherwise, its great and ill definitely read more from this author..

An enjoyable read. But it falls under at some parts of the book. The friction between the characters , their angst and all is palpable. Would recommend this book to urban fantasy fans. The premise and characters are good and on the whole it is a good read.

I absolutely loved this book. Angels and demons, good and evil. It makes you think more than I expected from a book of this genre.

The author does a good job of keeping you with the story from beginning to end.

Recommend!

What a perfect foundation for a paranormal romance! Right away a was hooked on the characters and the story. The characters were well developed from the start with JUST enough back story to keep me interested and not put me to sleep. The story from the beginning was really strong and fast paced!

About halfway through the book the story started to slip in my opinion. Almost as if it was moving too fast that pieces started to come unglued leaving gaps. I would have really enjoyed a hot and heavy slow burn to Aura and Gabriel's forbidden, taboo love story. It felt rushed at the end and really wasn't satisfying, missing the climax. Also Luke and Aura's desire for one another felt wasted for us to learn his secret connection to Aura. The desire seeming unnecessary in the grand scheme of things.

Over all I give this a 3/5 stars.I am still very intrigued by the story and characters and will be reading book 2 to see what comes of Gabriel. 😊

Sent by Netgalley but all opinions are my own. The concept was good and fits with the description. This is the first in a series. I normally love this sort of book but I really struggled to engage with this one. I didn't engage with the characters and found that I didn't really care about what happened and found myself skimming. I found the dialogue dull in places. I prefer fun and witty rather than dark and brooding which may be why I struggled with this.
Although I did not like this I am sure that others will enjoy it.

DNF. I tried to get into this book as the concept sounded really cool, but I just found that it wasn't well done. I kept getting pulled out of the story by strange or repetitive wording. There were also random jumps in plot or conversation that just didn't work.
I was given this ebook free through NetGalley, however all opinions are my own.

A big thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the firest book in as series. I do not believe I have read this author before. I found this book, was not for me. I am apparently not a big fan of the angst between angels and demons. I was confused, frustrated and bored at various times in the book. I admit I skimmed alot of it. This does appear to be a variant of Beauty and the Beast. Although it is not my cup of tea, that does not mean that others won't enjoy it. 3 stars

I really disliked this one and I think it is a case of it’s not you it’s me. Recently I have just not been enjoying New adult fantasy/paranormal stories. I didn’t really enjoy the writing of this book and it feels like I’ve read this story before. It hurts me to say this but I didn’t care for the characters and thought it was boring to be honest. However saying that I do know people who would enjoy this so it’s not a bad story just not for me and I would still recommend it for fans of new adult fantasy.

He wanted a normal life. Instead, he might end the world…

Gabriel is a half human, half demon who will fight for his place and it's a beautiful tale of beauty and the beast.
