This was the third book in this series and I enjoyed reading all three books. If you enjoy mystery, suspense, and not being able to figure it out till the end then you will have to read this book! You will not be lost if you have not read the other books in this series, but they are all enjoyable .

There’s a battle going on between environmentalists and power boat racers on little Sebec Lake in Maine.

But, that’s not the biggest problem. People are dying. They’re being murdered.

This is a different sort of premise for a mystery. While it is very interesting, the author does not quite pull it off. There are several words misused, or just typos. The characters are a little flat. The reader doesn’t really get to know them. I like my mysteries with a little added background information so that I feel I can get to know the characters more fully.

I want to thank NetGalley and Black Rose Writing for forwarding to me a copy of this book for me to read and review. The opinions expressed here are solely my own.

A murder mystery set around the World of powerboat racing is quite original. After that, it’s fairly standard material. A decent storyline though for some reason, I never found myself having much empathy with any of the characters. An enjoyable read none the less.
Thanks to NetGalley and Black Rose Writing for providing me with an Advance Reader's Copy in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
