This is a cute story about Siggy, the sausage dog. I read this story with my two youngest grandchildren and got mixed reactions. Siggy sees a beautiful bag flying by and when he hears a call for help, chases it to try and catch it for a neighbour. It takes him through the town and we meet several people. He finally catches up to it in the forest but it is stuck in a tree. He gets a bit of magical help to retrieve it and return it to the owner. He is rewarded with his favourite food, a spicy sausage. There is some magic in the story consisting of a few people who can understand Siggy's barks and the fairy who coaxes the bag out of the tree. The illustrations were adorable and I loved how Siggy stretched and grew when necessary. The expressions on the faces of the characters, made them appear real. My granddaughter loved the story about perseverance, kindness, friendship and being rewarded for good works. My grandson, who is only 3, lots interest as there is a lot of text for his age group. He liked the illustrations, but kept wanting me to flip the pages before I was finished reading a page, which frustrated his older sister (6). I liked the themes in this one and recommend it to kindergarten teachers and parents.

This is amazing as a print book. A little less impressive on an e-reader but I still enjoyed it very much.

The illustrations are playful and fluid and very well done.

Siggy is a little Dachshund, also known as a Sausage Dog.
It is funny that he looks like a sausage and loves the taste of sausage.
Siggy has many friends. Some can understand him and others that just enjoy his company.

As much as Siggy likes treats, when he sees a neighbor in trouble he does what good doggies do.

This is a book adults will not complain about reading multiple times.
Each time to read it you will discover something new.

This was absolutely adorable. I loved the excuse to read a bunch of little kiddo arcs while pregnant and I will enjoy picking them up in stores.

What a sweat book! My toddler said "I wuv him", about Siggy. We'd read more adventure from Siggy. The illustrations are a great compliment to the story.

A lovely children’s book, we’ve read it a few times, the children really enjoyed it and the illustrations.

Adorable! The artwork is whimsical and wondrous, depicting Siggy's fun experiences. I think this is a great story for young readers, with easy writing to help them build their reading skills, and lots of playful adventuring to keep them engaged.

Siggy is a curious Daschund pup who loves to help. This story is about an adventure he has while helping a human friend retrieve a lost bag. The illustrations are beautiful and unique, but the story was a bit wordy and didn't keep my attention.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC.

I was disappointed to see this book archived almost immediately after being approved for it and before I could download it. We have a dachshund, and I thought my kids might enjoy the book.

A truly beautifully illustrated book - the artwork is just fantastic. I did feel, however, that there was just too much text, and a lot that was quite unnecessary which made it a bit rambly. There were more succinct ways to say things that really grab children's attention, and I just didn't feel like this hit the mark.

** spoiler alert ** Well drawn but the story was confusing and not interesting at all. I'm a huge fan of dachshunds and children's fiction but neither of these things were able to save this title for me.

The art is absolutely gorgeous and it initially drew me to this story. However, I don't know if it is due to my edition, but I cannot access the file (have tried multiple devices) as a result, I feel like I cannot give an accurate review of this book. If I can, I will amend this rating and review.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was a bit disappointed at how wordy this book was. Siggy is a Dauschand on an adventure to rescue a flying bag. He runs across many people but stays focused on his task. My little ones got a little distracted with all the wording in this, but I think would be fit for someone older than 5. The illustrations were stunning In this!

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Siggy Loves sausages I'd a cute illustrated picture book for children with some really lovely illustrations, however the story wasn't as I was expecting it to be and unfortunately it fell a little flat for my high hopes.
The story follows Siggy (a dachshund) who chases a plastic bag hoping for treats which ends up unfolding a story about perseverance and kindness. However the text was a little conflicting in places to the story and it just didn't gel well for me unfortunately.

Thanks to Netgalley and BooksGoSocial for a free digital copy.

I was expecting a fun adventure of a dog running around town after sausages or being distracted by sausages on another adventure but it just kind of fell flat for me. The illustrations are cute and the story is fine, but didn't wow me.

This book has the potential to be a cute story, but I found it much too wordy for a picture book. I think that with about half of the text, it would work much better as a read-aloud. I also found the bit about the artist being magical a little bit unnecessary and confusing. The illustrations were sweet, and I like when the text physically "flowed" - that definitely captured my interest.

Unfortunately I had the same issue as some of the other reviewers where I could only see the front page and the rest was a blank document. The illustrations on the cover are super cute though.

Such a cute book! I love that some people are able to understand Siggy and communicate with him, that is paw-some.

I have a soft spot for kids books, I love watching kids fall in love with reading. With that being said it’s my job as an educator and employee of a library to carefully choose books for our little ones. No doubt this story will become a staple in my classroom and hopefully at our library. The story was beautifully illustrated and cuteness overload.

The drawings are lovely and the overall story is quite sweet but Siggy's confusion after getting the bag seemed like a very random way to add a bit of additional tension. The appearance of the fairy was also pretty random. Overall, it was pretty cute and I loved the illustrations.
