Its hard to review a sample didnt realise thats what it was when i requested it but i really enjoyed what I did read and i am interested to see where it goes. Will definitely be purchasing this book in the future. Giving a rating based on just the small sample is hard so going with an average one. Look forward to fully reviewing in the future and giving accurate rating which I will post on goodreads.

I've enjoyed every book I've read by this author and Do No Harm is no exception. A gripping, tense thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat and had me reading late into the night. I disliked the main characters but it in no way detracted from the story and the plot. Dr. Anna Jones, a heart surgeon, has a life or death decision to make to save her son Zack. Like her or loathe her, Anna Jones is a great character. The plot is nerve wracking with tension and intrigue. A superb 5 star read

This book was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and now I've read it will definitely be in my top ten reads!

The book starts when a heart surgeon is given an ultimatum. Her son has been kidnapped and to save him she must deliberately kill the man on the operating table and make it look like an accident.

'The man lies on the table in front of me.
As a surgeon, it’s my job to save him.
As a mother, I know I must kill him.
You might think that I’m a monster.
But there really is only one choice.
I must get away with murder.
Or I will never see my son again..'

What follows is a tense thriller, written from the perspectives of Anna, the surgeon, Margot the operating assistant and Rachel, the police detective. As the book progresses the lives of the three women interlink. I loved all the moral dilemmas through the book. Should Anna keep the Hippocratic oath or save her son? As I was reading I definitely wondered what I would do in such extreme circumstances!

This is one of the best thrillers I've read and I couldn't stop turning the pages! I thought there would be a resolution after the chapters on the operating table but this is only the start of the drama! There are some brilliant twists along the way too.
I highly recommend this book and I'm looking forward to reading the other books by this fantastic author.

This sampler has only made me more excited for this book! I can’t wait until it’s release. This is going to be one of those stories that sucks you straight in and doesn’t let you go.

I’m not a fan of the one chapter samplers as it’s not really possible to give an honest review having read such a small part of the book! That said I did enjoy the first chapter of this and would certainly have continued reading had that been an option. I expect it will be a good full book.

Do No Harm Sampler
I give this snippet 5 stars

My child has been taken. And I’ve been given a choice…
Kill a patient on the operating table. Or never see my son again.
The man lies on the table in front of me.
As a surgeon, it’s my job to save him.
As a mother, I know I must kill him.
You might think that I’m a monster.
But there really is only one choice.
I must get away with murder.
Or I will never see my son again.
I’VE SAVED MANY LIVES.
WOULD YOU TRUST ME WITH YOURS?

Difficult to give feedback on such a short sample. Interesting, and would likely read on but was unable to do so. Never been asked to giv3 feedback on a sample before on NetGalley

Whilst the description of the book sounds fascinating, the first chapter alone didn’t grip me. Would definitely need to read more before giving an honest review.

I keep hearing about this book so was keen to see for myself - whilst there is not much to go on with just the first chapter, I am certainly intrigued and look forward to reading the whole book.

Only three pages so a very short sample but looking forward to the rest of the book. Hopefully, the rest will be released on Netgalley soon.
