Oooh this book is a page turner.
Fast paced and full of twosts delivered by an unreliable narraror.
Ill be looking out for this author.
Another one I read a while ago that I'm just getting round to reviewing but it's still firmly in my mind!

This was slow and a little beyond believable for me to really dive into this book and wholly enjoy.
The plot twist(s) were not exactly all that surprising and I guess the only part that did suprise me was how little police involvement there was in any part of this story.
Certainly dark and twisted but the characters were lacking in any real elements to relate and appeal to the reader enough for you to care on who is innocent / safe / alive or dead.

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review

I tried and then tried again and then again and finally finished it on the 3rd attempt. I did find it a little slow but it was well written.

Unfortunately, I had to DNF this book at 34%. There were definitely some intriguing parts, but I felt like the pacing was too slow so I ended up losing interest.

This was a good solid read by Ms Hayes, but I personally didn't care for the plot lines. Book was well written, but might not be everybody's cup of tea.

This book started off slow. By the second half it really picks up speed. The ending was great! I will read more books by this author.

A really clever book by one of my favourite authors. She always delivers. Sucks you in, keeps you reading thinking I’ve hit this, then…pow!! Another massive twist. Read in two sittings.

I love a twisty thriller where you can’t guess what’s going to happen and that is exactly what I got here, it was compelling and gripping and I could not put it down

Wow, such a twisty read. Every time I thought I had it all sussed, along came something to throw it all into question. Some incredibly clever twists that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout.

The Trapped Wife is a twisted, compelling book that seems like you know where its headed but you don't really know. The book has chapters of sexual assault which were difficult for me to read. However they were essential to the plot of the book. This was a quick read just because it was unputdownable. Every chapter reveals just enough to keep you hooked and going into the mext one. I really hate gullible characters and Jen ticked most of all those boxes. That is until I reached the end. The story was laid out very cleverly and every question or confusing thought was answered in the end. The twists really keep coming towards the end and they're absolutely mind blowing. Every character and their backstory was expertly crafted and it all ties in wonderfully on the end.

Thank you, NetGalley Bookouture and Samantha Hayes for this arc!

A great psychological drama with a twist I didn’t see coming at the end.
The main characters are interesting & intriguing and the story is well written and has a good pace - I wanted to find out what happened.
Looking forward to reading more by the same author.

My thanks to NetGalley and BookOuture. For a copy of “ The Trapped Wife “ for an honest review.

I’ve really enjoyed previous books by Samantha Hayes and this one didn’t disappoint .
The book was fast paced , with well written characters , and I found it hard to put down, and it kept me guessing right to the end.
One word of warning it does cover a dark , emotive subject , At times I had to skip over passages, so this book might not be suitable for those particularly sensitive to the issue.
Highly recommended

This story is fast paced, based mainly around Jennifer Hillier a doctor who has recently lost her husband. I can't really expand anymore on the story without giving anything away, so many twist and turns and just when you think you have it all worked out, you don't!
Did not see the twist at the end coming.
Great book everytime I put it down couldn't wait to pick it up again.

Didn't get to it before it was archived. Sorry, Giving feedback based solely on the cover and my own ineptitude. I apologize for my lack of focus. I'm working on me. I may have gone a little request-crazy once I discovered this platform. My bad.

The Trapped Wife was very much middle of the road for me. The premise of the story was good and somewhat original, at least in comparison to anything else I’ve read. I needed to know how everything would conclude, and for the most part, I’d no idea what was coming.

While the story started at a slow pace, things eventually started to move more rapidly. That’s where The Trapped Wife began to fall a bit flat for me. The plot line became too convoluted. Keeping up with what was going on wasn’t too much of a problem, it was more that I didn’t find the story realistic anymore. I do think the ending was satisfying, but the actions that led to it irritated me too much for me to really enjoy the book.

This was a great thriller that had me doubting who did it and wondering when the perp would be revealed.

In this story, Jennifer is dealing with the death of her husband while pregnant with a child that might have not been his. The plot and the pace of the book are incredibly fast, and there are enough twists and turns to keep the reader engaged from beginning to end. I kept wondering how an intelligent woman like Jennifer got herself in this situation, and how she would get out of it,

Overall, this book kept me reading until the end. The story is told in such a masterful way that allows the reader to come up with their own theories about what is happening, and the final twist comes out of nowhere and it is truly shocking.

A great thriller!
