This book has my heart, I started it a couple of days ago and couldn’t put it down. I’ve already preordered a physical copy as I loved it so much.

The Wish had me feeling so many emotions and I haven’t cried over a book in ages until this one that is. It is such a beautiful story that I needed right now and it has definitely become one of my favourite books for the author.

I can’t stop thinking about this book, it had everything. The characters were wonderful and it shows throughout the book how precious life is and the memories we make with the people that mean the most to us.

The Wish is such a lovely story, definitely have your box of tissues at the ready for this one.

Thanks so much to the author, publisher and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book, its definitely a story that will stay with me for a long time.

I always enjoy reading Nicholas Sparks books and I was delighted to receive a copy of his new book The Wish.
Maggie is a well known photographer and part owner of an art gallery.
She employs a young man Mark to help her in the gallery because of her failing health.
Mark is curious about Maggie’s life and why she choose photography as a career. She tells him about a summer in 1996 when she went to live with her aunt and the boy she met there.
I really enjoyed this book even though I guessed the ending quite early on.
There were some really great characters and I read this book in a day because I didn’t want to put it down.
Thank you to NetGalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK for my e-copy in exchange for an honest review.

This booked jumped straight to the top of my to read pile. It was read in one sitting, I wiped away tears of both joy and sadness. Maggie hasn't told this story in years. More than two decades ago, she fell in love. She was sixteen and far from home, waiting to give her baby up for adoption. Bryce showed Maggie how to take photographs and he didn't judge her for the way her belly swelled under her jumper. They had the perfect first kiss. Theirs was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of love.

Now, as Maggie sits by the Christmas tree in her gallery telling her story, surrounded by the photographs that made her famous - the photographs Bryce never saw - her new gallery assistant asks her a question. If she had one wish, what would she wish for this Christmas?

Maggie always thought she knew the answer to that question. But before she can say 'I'd go back to that winter with Bryce', she stops herself. It is all she has ever wanted but suddenly here, on this dark night under the twinkling stars, there is something else she wants. She wants to find her baby.
From one of my favourite authors and favourite film the notebook I was privileged to read this amazing book. Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley and I’m giving this one top marks. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
