I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

This is the second book of Lisa's that I've read and I loved it as much as the first! A true tale of siblings and the ups and downs of sibling love. Both Rihanna and her sister have different lives after attending different schools which had caused them to grow to be different in many ways, however true sibling love shines through. Loved the part towards the end where Rihanna finally told James what she thought of him! I also fell in love with Hayden and his relationship with his girls. Looking forward to the next one.

This was such a fun and funny read. Such a lighthearted story that you can pick up at any time and enjoy.

I am always eager to read books about family and sisterhood, so when I stumbled upon The Sister Pact by Lisa Swift, I immediately knew that I would love reading it. AND GUESS WHAT, I was not wrong. This book was filled with family drama (loads and loads of it) and laughter! <3 This is the third book in a series, but I had no problem reading it as a standalone.

I absolutely loved the characters in The Sister Pact. Brooke and Rhianna were complete opposites as sisters, and I loved how the author showed their contrasting natures to add more depth to the storyline. It was interesting to see how both of them teamed up to save their family pub. The message of the story was beautiful - it showed the importance of family, and how you can always count on your family members during troubling times. It was an entertaining yet heart-warming story through and through.

This is the first book I have read by this author and Lisa certainly doesn't disappoint. Set in a Yorkshire village which immediately gives a warm feeling to the book.

Heartwarming story, and if it features sisters, that’s always a plus for me. Brooke has been running the family pub with her mother since her Dad passed away. As things have changed in the village over time, The Highwayman’s Drop has been losing business. Rihanna, Brooke’s sister, turns up on the doorstep with her two kids in tow after leaving her cheating husband. Can the sisters work together after years of rivalry, to revive the bar and their relationship? Add in Brooke’s love interest and this is a formula for a very entertaining read. I recommend it for lovers of women fiction. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

A lovely light hearted read that I finished quickly in an evening. Very funny in places and great characters

If you're in the mood for a cute, easy read with a little bit of romance thrown in for good measure, this book is for you. I enjoyed this book for the most part as it mainly explored the relationship between two sisters as they navigated other issues and problems within their own lives. However, I felt the mom's chapters were a bit out of place and wouldn't have missed them if they were skipped.

The story was set at the family pub that Brooke and her mom, Janey, managed until one night Brooke's estranged sister, Rhianna, stormed back into their lives with her two children. Rhianna had immersed herself into the lifestyle of the rich for many years - hardly ever seeing her family - until the night she arrived at the pub due to martial issues. I The sisters fought and made up and fought again over a slew of issues and I think the author did a good job of showcasing some of the family dynamics that occur between sisters and also between mother/child. Overall, it was a quick read and had a feel good ending. I would recommend if you're in the mood for a light read.

I often read synopses of books where they are described as laugh out loud romantic comedies. This one really is one of those. There’s one particular sentence involving butternut squash that particularly enjoyed.

But this book is more than a romantic comedy. It’s about what we hold dear and all forms of love. It’s sweet without being trite. I thoroughly enjoyed it at a time when it was a great reminder to appreciate the important things in life.

I didn’t particularly understand all the character’s hang ups but that didn’t matter in the end.

Very enjoyable and fun.

I immediately warmed to Brooke because she appeared to be an intensive workaholic; a strong, powerful, single female. It felt sad that she had grown so far apart form her Sister Rhiannon; Rhianna came across as the most dreadful snob – although a sudden change in her circumstances affected the whole family. Their Mum, Janey, has been single for two long and I could understand why she might like some male company again.

I felt for Brooke, as the future of their family pub was looking most uncertain, and a chain was trying to buy the family out. The pub meant everything to Brooke, but they desperately needed to do something as a family to improve the finances of the business.

Rhianna – despite her snobbery, deep down she was a family woman and I hoped that she could once more settle into the arms of her wider family.

Hayden brought a breath of fresh air to the pub, although as a single Father, struggling to make ends meet, he had his own issues to deal with.

I really found myself hoping that as a team, they could do something together to improve both the finances of the pub and the inter-family dynamics. As for Hayden, I hoped that he could ameliorate both his finances and that of the pub, and perhaps even have a bit of love brought into his life. It just felt as though he deserved more from life. Another person who deserved mire was Janey. Read the book fir yourself to discover her wonderful surprise!

I thought that this book dealt with some huge issues, with the utmost empathy. These included starting to date again in later life, after bereavement, marital issues and family disagreements. I thought the book would offer both encouragement and empathy to anyone in the same kind of situations. Above all the book dealt with the strength of family; it showed how strong families should be, putting them above all else. I appreciated this.
