I fell in love with the Wilder family from the moment I read the first book in this series, Make Me Wilder, and I couldn't wait for Ms. Bell to release this second adventure - pun intended! This can be read as a standalone, but I would definitely recommend reading the first book to get acquainted with this family. Rachel is a "good girl" whom I can totally relate to because she has a plan for everything but as we all know, best laid plans and all that. I loved reading and watching her grow and open herself up to the possibilities of living without a plan -- I loved every minute of her and Brody's journey in this book. And Brody is another sexy, sweet and charming Wilder brother that you can't help but cheer on and hope that he gets his HEA. I'm intrigued by Clark's story and I'm hoping we get his next! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

I’m a sucker for books set in the PNW. Add in a cute romance with a side of spice and I am here for it.

Brody Wilder is a bad boy with a heart of gold. Rachel Perez is a good girl with a plan.

This was a super cute read. The perfect amount of spice with a touching story. Brody, who is often misunderstood and seen as the screw up, is trying to help the family business, Wilder Adventures, and he does that with the help of Rachel, who is helping her mom run her business. After a slight (although hilarious) miscommunication, Rachel and Brody reconnect as friends, to something more.

The only problem, Rachel is only home for a few weeks from Boston. As they reconnect (Rachel is Connor’s little sister and Brody’s best friend), they take their relationship day by day and not addressing their feelings and the expiration date. This all comes to a head when Connor finds out and queue the tears. I wasn’t expecting to feel so emotional during the conflict. I loved the interactions we got with Gabe, Lucy, Amanda, and Hanna.

Overall, I really enjoyed the book and I’m super excited to read more from Serena and to see what the rest of the Wilder brothers get into.

What a fun read, definitely recommend it.

The Wilder family is pushing to expand their outdoor recreation business, capitalizing on the recent tourism boom in Rush Creek. As the resident screw-up and "Bad Boy," Brody is under pressure to bring more customers in with his boat tours. After a disastrous book club attempt, he connects with his best friend's little sister who is in town for a while after her life blew up back in Boston. Rachel has always been firmly off limits, but working closely with her now and keeping his hands to himself will be impossible.

A Walk on the Wilder Side is one of the most sex positive books I've ever read. The community of women and the honest discussions about the role sex plays in relationships was just so refreshing. I applaud Serena Bell for not only educating but recognizing the bigger picture surrounding intimacy.

Rachel is such a relatable character. She is so open to new experiences once she comes back home, separating her old identity from who she see herself as now. I didn't necessarily love the continued references to Brody as a "bad boy." Brody seemed more like a guy who had good intentions but bad outcomes. I loved the spontaneous dates and simple sweet ways Brody showed up for Rachel.

This book was honestly such a surprise win, I laughed so hard and am now hopelessly attached to the Wilder family. Thank you to @netgalley for this ARC, A Walk on the Wilder Side is out on September 23rd!

After reading the first book in this series, Make me Wilder, I was hooked. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the second book, and it didn’t disappoint.

Although part of a series, Walk on the Wilder Side can be read as a stand alone. However I highly recommend you read the other book, not because you need it for context, but it is just that good.

Walk on the Wilder side follows Rachel who has every single detail of her life planned out until she looses her perfect librarian job and boyfriend all in one day. Devastated she retreats back home to Rush Creek to help her mom.

Brody Wilder is trying to help his family adventure business and trying to loose his title as the family bad boy. Brody is focusing on building his boat tour business when his best friend’s sister (Rachel) arrives back in town. Although he does his best to avoid her, she ends up on his boat and he’s worry she is going to end up in his bed.

Like I mentioned, I am a big fan of what Bell is doing with this series. This book is a laugh out loud, steamy, fun read that you can’t put down. Bell does a fantastic job at balancing the fun steamy romance with a deeper story about how we plan our lives and what is most important to us.

The family dynamics are so fun and I love that through the series we are getting to dive deeper with the side characters.

What I feel makes for a great romcom is pace and chemistry and both were done really well. The relationships were believable and you felt the chemistry between them.

Great second book to the series and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

The second in a series and we have the bad boy/good girl trope. One that I haven't read a lot of but I do thoroughly enjoy. The cover doesn't do the book justice when it comes to smut levels and makes it looks a lot more innocent than it is.

This books follows Brody Wilder who is your stereotypical bad boy. Even down to the leather jacket, sunglasses and tattoos. Women are never looking for something long term with him and so far in his life that's suited him. There is an unspoken mutual agreement that it's all a bit of fun when Brody is involved.

Then there is Rachel, the younger sister of Brody's best friend and a good girl to the core. She even has a life plan and works as a Librarian! Rachel returns home after a day from hell where she loses everything including her mind only to find her mum is selling relationship aids. After some pleading Rachel agrees to help her mum sell stock. Brody and Rachel then team up and get intimate all while trying to sell relationship aids on a boat.

The book is a very feel good happy romantic comedy. There isn't any difficult topics or elements to understand so the book goes by quickly. It also provides positive messages towards sex and living life spontaneously. Both without shaming the lack of either.

I enjoyed the set up of all the brothers and it's easy to see how this will form a series. The way it references the previous book is also well done and feels like a recap without boring readers of previous books.

To sum up the book is wholesome, sexy, funny and definitely worth picking up. One you could read in an afternoon and still want more.

I love the Wilder men!
What a fun and sexy story! Wilder was a good combo of in the process of growing up and still being a sweet, no games partner. Brody and Rachel complimented each other and brought out what was buried within already.

While the writing isn't anything mind-blowing. It seems like reading how you would really talk to someone. I found that likeable compared to some stories that try to over do conversations and become unrealistic.

That cover is deceptively cute - this book is a quick and steamy treat that features a decidedly NSFW storyline involving *ahem* toy parties. The blurb implies that this is a light and sexy best friend's little sister romance (it is), but it forgets to mention the dirty stuff, lol. I had Siri reading this aloud to me while I was working, and let's just say that things got inappropriate for the workplace pretty quickly. That being said, the story is a low angst, fun read with a classic bad boy/good girl pairing and a shared history that makes this quick read a little bit richer. I didn't LOVE it, but it made for a nice, easy read with both heat and heart.

The story follows Brody, the quintessential bad boy who is tired of being used and discarded. While Brody was all too happy to fulfill women's bad boy fantasies in the past, he's older now - and ready for more. But no one plans a future with the good time guy, and that's made Brody question his self-worth. So when his best friend's little sister, Rachel, returns home temporarily, Brody knows better than to cross any lines. Rachel has always had her life all mapped out, and that surely doesn't involve a guy like Brody. As the two reconnect and get to know each other as adults, they discover that the line between bad and good might be a little grayer than expected.

This was a short and sexy read with plenty of humor and lighthearted moments. I wasn't anticipating the toy party storyline, but it certainly livened things up and made these two look at each other in a whole new light. The best part of the book, for me, was Brody. I love a bad boy redeemed, and he is a big softie. This playboy is broken-hearted and looking for love, and he was such a good guy throughout. I haven't read the first book in the series yet, but that was not an issue - there were a few references to the first couple and events that took place previously, but nothing that interfered with my enjoyment. This was a low angst, high sexiness read that was solid throughout. It was a little too surface level to really grip me, but I don't have any major complaints - I'd definitely consider checking out another book in the series. I received an early copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of this light and easy romance.

This is the second book in the Wilder series and this one features the "brother's best friend" trope. The first was more of a lovestruck grump/forced proximity but each had their own high points. Walk on the Wilder Side features Brody - the bad boy Wilder brother - and Rachel - his best friend's sister. Brody has spent his life doing the bare minimum while harboring some strong feelings of insecurity. Rachel is confident and self-assured, but has been harboring a (what she assumes is) an unrequited crush on Brody for YEARS.
When Rachel's mom is in an accident, she agrees to come home and help her out for a few weeks with her business. Much to Rachel's surprise, her mom's business isn't just home Tupperware parties ;)

When Brody and Rachel work together to promote her mom's business and the Wilder Adventure business as well, they are forced to spend more time together. In close quarters. They must work through their feelings for each other as well as confront their own inner demons in order to move forward.

Walk on the Wilder Side is fun, lighthearted, full of STEAMY scenes and uninhibited dialogue. A nice followup to Make Me Wilder. The Wilder Brothers are full of brains, brawn, and lots of heart. What's not to love?

This novel was such a well written, easy to follow, heart-warming but sexy read. I couldn't put this book down, and read it in 24 hours! The chemistry between Brody and Rachel was on point and seriously 🥵. I don't know why I haven't come across this author or series before but I am without a doubt going to continue with both! I can't wait to read more of the Wilder Boys!

TAKE A RIDE ON THE WILDER SIDE!

“‘And I understand if you feel like you can’t, um, do this…I haven’t been fair asking you to go behind Connor’s back and risk that friendship.´

‘I don’t fucking care.’”

AHH! It is 12:22 AM and I just finished this book. I absolutely loved it! The first Wilder book was a 5/5 but this one… 100 points in a 5 point scale.

Brody Wilder is the irresponsible, wild(haha), and bad boy Wilder brother in charge of their boat business. He needs to start getting his act together to get the business afloat and a fantastic opportunity full of sex toys and innuendos comes in the form of Rachel, his best friend´s sister!

Rachel just got cheated on and visits home to take care of her mom and help her with her business. She’s tired of being a walking prediction of perfection and is looking for fun. What’s more fun than a bad boy in badass boots with tattoos? Nothing.

This book had me giggling out loud and grinning so hard I almost broke my face! It was adorable and cute but also very very steamy. 4/5 on the spicy level. This is not a slow burn but it is also not insta love (I hate that). They’ve just been in love since they were in high school. I can’t wait to get this in paperback and add it to my favorites shelf alongside my other beloved romance books!

There was a miscommunication trope towards the end but honestly I feel so hard for this book after Ch. 5 that I didn’t even care!

Take a ride on the Wilder side!

I love this series so freakin much! Resident bad boy Brody Wilder has a thing for his best friends sister Rachel, and guess what, she has a thing for him too. Man this was so cute I loved Brody so so much, even though he was “damaged” from his previous relationship, he still had substance and was able to be a good man. And him with Justin.. swoon 🥰 I couldn’t get enough. The smut was top notch and I thought Rachel was a pretty kick butt heroine who knew what she wanted. I also loved how she was always hyping Brody up knowing there was more to him than his bad boy reputation. So good, can’t wait for the next one!!

5/5 stars

This can be read as standalone! I didn’t read book 1 and I didn’t feel like I missed anything (besides an amazing love story). This book was full of fun surprises!! Rachel and Brody had a fun childhood crush to lovers storyline. Rachel was upset with her life being turned upside down but she was making the best of it. It was funny how she got roped into the romance selling business.

I loved the added storyline of what her mom and was selling. And what Rachel ended up selling. I loved the beginning when Brody had no idea what he was getting into. As the reader I had no idea what I was getting into! :D I think it added a fun and interesting element to the storyline.

I also really loved the role Justin played in the box. It was a fun side plot that I was glad didn’t take away from the main story. I thought it was really cool that Zoë was supportive and not the vindictive ex we normally hear about.

Overall really enjoyed the story and romance that was in this book. It was a little instalove but with them being child hood crushes it worked. Looking forward to reading the other books in this series!

Thank you for allowing me to read and review. Serena Bell is a newer author in my book collection and I can honestly say I’m enjoying her writing. This book was pretty great and their chemistry was fantastic.

I just really love this series. Serena Bell’s a pretty new author for me, but after reading the first Wilder book I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one, and it did not disappoint!

3.5/5 star rating.

This book follows Rachel, who was let go from her job and then found her boyfriend cheating on her so moved back to her small town home.

She reunites with Brody, her brothers best friend, and they become instantly attracted to each other. Brody is a big tattooed biker dude and has such a grumpy exterior but he is actually the sweetest guy ever. I don’t want to spoil anything but his relationship with Justin just melts my heart and I love him even more for it.

This felt very insta-love which is not my favourite trope. We are told that both characters had a crush on each other when they were younger but as adults there wasn’t much build up or tension, it all just happened very quick.

Overall I thought this was an excellent read, especially for new readers and fans of a small town romance.

Thank you NetGalley for providing the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Wow!
This is definitely something that I haven’t expected. Mid you look up at the cover, you’ll think “hmm nice sweet romance story “. But it’s much more than that! A whole bunch more than that.
Which I loved. The dialogue was on spotty the chemistry over the charts and the overall story very good.

Very grateful for my review copy

I really enjoyed Walk on the Wilder Side. This is the second in a series and should be read in order.
Although Brody is listed as a bad boy deep down he's a real sweetheart. He's caring and thoughtful despite what has been tossed at him the past year.
I loved the connection between him and Rachel. The pair worked so well together.
Parts of the story line were predictable but others especially, the relationship with Brody and Justin were smartly written and refreshing to read how caring adults would handle the situation.
I can't wait to read the next in the series.

A great read! Fast paced, hilarious family, small town, sweet romance, with more spice than I thought there would be. I fell in love with the supporting characters just as much as the main characters. I can't wait to read more of the Wilder siblings.
