An enjoyable read. A grown up attitude portrayed by both Yanis and Samantha (both neurosurgeons) after a one night stand in Paris led to twins. No squabbling over who the babies belong too. For the characters to move on they must address past issues. Lots of issues : multiple miscarriages, victim of munchausens sensitively addressed by the author.

I would like to thank Netgalley, Mills and Boon and Louisa Heaton for the E Arc of this book.
We meet Samantha on her final night in Paris. She is there as part of an exchange programme for Neurosurgeons. She has been working with Yanis and they end up spending the night together. A couple of months later they are reunited in London as he becomes part of the Neurosurgeon team at the hospital where Sam works. Sam finds out she is pregnant and so start the journey for herself and Yanis to becoming parents.
This was well written and covered some difficult topics regarding multiple births and their complications during pregnancy well. The characters were good although I do have a bit of a problem with the one-night stand leading to pregnancy trope. They are not my favourite. If this is something you like then you will love this book.

I was given a copy of this title by M&B and Netgalley in return for an honest review. This is the first book I've read by this author, and it won't be the last. The characters were well rounded out and believable, each with their own flaws which added to the believability of the story. A slightly different take on the baby by mistake theme, ( or in this case, two of them!) and made for a very enjoyable afternoon's reading, that led to me wanting the story to continue.

A gentle romance that takes its time with Yanis and Sam, and yet covers some pretty emotional events from their past. The miscarriage of several babies for Yanis and his ex wife and Munchausen by proxy for Sam. Neither of these are covered in great detail but their impact is made clear and the physical and emotional scars are part of the plot and Sam and Yanis wouldn't get to their happy ending without opening up the wounds and healing them over together.
A well written, easy to read romance that we can all do with.

For Sam and Yanis working together in Paris leads to an intense attraction. After a traumatic surgery, they enjoy an intimate encounter on Sam's last night in the city. Sam doesn't like letting down her guard and doesn't expect to see Yanis again. When he takes a neurosurgeon's role at Sam's hospital, she is surprised, and that's not her only shock that day.

Sam and Yanis are dedicated professionals who have to learn to adapt to a new lifestyle. Yanis is supportive, and understanding although he has doubts and worries. Sam has many issues, but as they learn to work as a personal team, they find the love they deserve.

An authentic medical setting and a heartwarming romance make this an engaging read.

I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Sam and Yanis are such a great couple. Right from the start you are firmly on their side hoping for them to work everything out and get their happy ever after.

After a one night stand results in not just one baby but two surprise babies, they need to come together to be the best family they can.
This was my first book from Louisa Heaton but it won't be my last!

A cute and short little story from the medical imprint at mills and boon (my first one from this imprint) and I loved it. I’m a sucker for these types of book and I certainly enjoyed every second of this one. Can’t wait to read more of them

Received an ARC from Mills and Boona nd Netgalley in return for an honest review.

This is a totally new writer for me and I am delighted to have discovered her. This story was so engaging with realistic, adult characters who behaved like grown-ups not petulant children.

Yanis and Sam were a lovely couple and from the very beginning, the relationship between them and the way they came together in Paris seemed very natural and understandable.

They way they dealt with the pregnancy was so adult. No hiding, no name calling, no suspicions but a lot of uncertainty, fear and concern. Just what you’d expect in that situation.

I was so happy that everything ended up well for them.

I was puzzled that Sam constantly referred to people using her. As far as I could see, the only person who’d done that was her mother and thankfully she’s been rescued from that situation very early on. It made her suspicions of Yanis a little hard to take.

What happened to Sam’s mother? There was talk of monthly calls and Sam worrying her mother would try to get involved - but then nothing. Was she in prison? I think it would have been good to finalise that story element instead of leaving us up in the air.

Excellent read, highly recommended. I would have loved an epilogue showing them a few years down the line perhaps with more children - a totally happy family. So 4.5 stars instead of 5.

I love an oopsie baby, or in this case babies, and with a couple both dealing with their own inner torments, along with a pregnancy that isn’t plain sailing, the path to parenthood is a bit of a bumpy ride.

Sam and Yanis’ romance fitted their situation perfectly, tugging on the heartstrings yet filling you with hope along the way with his softer nature complimenting her more guarded. And after pretty much reading in one sitting I can easily say my first read by Louisa Heaton won’t be my last.
