Tilly Tennant is one of my favourite authors in this genre. An enjoyable plot complete with believable, fully-formed characters you can warm to or dislike.
Held my attention from start to finish & I quickly became fully invested in the outcome for the two main characters.

This book lost me a bit at some parts. Such a shame as I loved the sound of it. Not my favourite by this author unfortunately.

***spoilers***

This isn't an AWFUL book it definitely has its moments. Unfortunately they are buried deep in monotony. The same setting, the same conversation going on in Libby's head, the same conversation starting and abruptly ending throughout the whole book. The ending I'm sure was meant to be cute but really just made me angry. Why would we be happy a married man found a new woman like wtf... and why would we be happy a woman who got cheated on and spent the entire book upset about it be ok with cheating. Sure he had a conversation saying the divorce would happen but the cheating already occurred. This just entirely missed the mark.

I really adored this story. Libby is such a strong character and I really felt for her with what happened with Rufus. I really liked the character Libby had enjoyed her finding love again with Noah

A gorgeous, romantic heart-warming read with characters that will find their way into your heart and stay there. Perfect for fans of Jill Mansell, Shari Low and Jenny Colgan.

This book was short and sweet and perfect for the people who wants to read something light hearted or rom-com.
The plot and character was great but the chemistry was a bit forced and I would have enjoyed more romance to be honest!

Overall it was a nice fluffy reading.

I loved the premise of this book. The protagonist Libby is the maid of honor at her best friend's wedding. She''juggles being happy for her best friend and worried that Rufus, her cheating ex-fiancee will show up. But then everything starts to look up when she sees a handsome wedding guest. Maybe this wedding will be the start of a new beginning for her.. Just when things are looking up, Rufus shows up to the wedding breakfast and the guests realize that they are snowed in. Will she spend the time avoiding Rufus or getting to Noah, the wedding guest that caught her eye.

However, in reality, it felt like this book didn't really progress a lot. Perhaps that was partly due to the location. But it felt like it was a constant Groundhog's Day with Libby trying to avoid Rufus and her flirting with Noah. It felt a little repetitive at times - especially Libby telling Rufus she didn't want to talk to him. I also wanted Libby and Noah to have some deeper conversations/interactions, just so the ending felt more deserved.

But that being said, there were some cute moments that I enjoyed. Thanks to NetGalley for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

This book was relatively cute. It held my attention enough for me to want to know how it ended so it wasn't a DNF, however it lost me in some parts and I found parts to be a struggle to work through. Overall I liked the book, but didn’t love it, there were certain things that just made me cringe - the constant referring to her cheating ex is definitely high on that list. All in all, it wasn't top notch, but it wasn't horrible.

A lovely, easy, festive read.

I was drawn into this book within the first few pages. It’s the kind of book you can curl up with a just read through in one sitting.

Libby fresh from her own heartache is chief bridesmaid for her best friend and meets Noah a friend of the groom at the wedding. There’s instant chemistry between them which deepens as the snow falls and they become snowed in at the wedding venue.

The characters were well developed and even though the story only takes place over a few days it doesn’t feel rushed. However I felt like I needed more of what happened after the wedding, for me, that part felt a little rushed.

Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for a copy in exchange for a review.

Libby works as a manager in a Tailors and spends a lot of time imaging her fiancé in different types of suits. She seemingly has the perfect life with their wedding around the corner, however, her fiancé Rufus has not been faithful to her in the time she spent grieving their unborn child. What makes the affair worse for Libby is that the other woman, is her cousin, Kylie. For obvious reasons the wedding gets cancelled and Libby leaves Rufus..who delightful carries on his relationship with Kylie because he believes she is pregnant. It turns out to be a false alarm.

Time moves slightly further on, to Christmas eve, the day Libby's best friend has chosen to get married. It's Willow and Tomas special day and Libby doesn't want to run into Rufus.
The wedding venue is the middle of no where in the Cotswolds so when it badly snows, there is a question of how people will be able to leave.

Libby sees a guest for almost across the room, she feels an instant connection which he hopes he felt too. This man is Noah and he has a secret he's hiding. The two form a bond as they spend a significant amount of time together.

Rufus does turn up at the wedding after having to leave his car and walk the rest of the way to the venue because of the snow. He tries to talk to Libby several times before she tells him enough.

The relationships in this book are slightly hard to understand because Libby is so angry at Rufus for what he's done. But she's okay to find out Noah has a wife at home, and accepts the fact he wants a divorce as reason for trying to make the relationship work. just odd how she becomes the other woman and she doesn't seem to really mind?

It is still a sweet Christmas book. Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for letting me read this book.

An enjoyable read with plenty of good characters and storyline although it felt a bit slow in places but Tilly Tennant always has my vote and I really enjoy her books

I have to be completely honest, and I will say that I didn´t like this book very much.

I am not very into the "love at first sight" trope, to begin with, so that was a low point. Also, the protagonist was overthinking everything all the time and that made the book really slow-paced, I think that it could have easily had half its length and it would have made sense.

The "mystery" in this book was almost annoying and also the fact that she is obsessed with her ex.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed certain moments of the book, not everything was bad.

I want to give a huge thank you to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for allowing me to read this book.

This book started out great but didn’t keep the momentum going. I thought the characters were well done, but the middle moved slowly. I liked the developing romance but I thought the ending was too sudden. 3 stars.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is my first Tilly Tennant novel. This book certainly had its cute moments and the writing style was very good but I found some parts of it repetitive and lengthy. Definitely will be checking out more from her soon!
Thanks to NetGalley , the author and the publisher for providing me with the e-ARC in exchange for my honest review :)

I absolutely loved My Best Friend’s Wedding by Tilly Tennant, read in one sitting I could not put it down. I have loved all of Tilly’s books so I knew I was in for a treat and I was not wrong. A wedding on Christmas Eve what could go wrong? Everything!! A great book to get me into the Christmas spirit.

I ended up DNF'ing this. I'm not sure what it was about it, I just couldn't get into it. I didn't really like any of the characters, and it just felt a bit chaotic. It's a shame as the plot sounded so interesting.

DNF at about 45%

This was just not for me. A bit too cheesy for my test and kinda problematic in some aspects.

This was my first book from Tilly Tennant and I really love it!! It was such a rollercoaster of emotions, and I was into it since the beginning. I felt in love with the characters, I laughed and I cried. I really love this one.

While the overall story was cute and easy to read, I felt like some parts were really dragged out. The beginning went by really quick, but I wish it focused more on the early stages of their relationship. Once the beginning flew by, the other 3/4 of the book went much slower, making it hard to keep my attention.
