At times this felt a bit static for me and i suspect that was because the characters were all stuck at one venue for a while. In terms of character action it moved quite slowly. However, the before and after were interesting. I never usually fall for characters in books, but could see why Noah would be popular and love-able. A wonderfully tedious attention seeking ex and an unusual Christmas piece.

Curl up in the front of the fire with a cup of tea and this adorable Christmas read! Lilly was recently left just weeks before her wedding, but she can’t let that get to her as she prepares to be the chief bridesmaid at her Best Friends Wedding. Sounds easy enough. Until she meets the eyes of a very handsome stranger, and her ex-fiancé decides to turn up to the wedding, and they all get snowed in together at the venue. A classic romance with some major roadblocks, I really enjoyed this wintery novel - it certainly warmed my heart!

Tilly Tennant never disappoints! In her book My Best Friend's Wedding, everything seems to be going right for the main character Libby until someone close to her betrays her, and then everything goes horribly wrong. Secrets abound in this heartwarming book making trusting again difficult for Libby. As always I look forward to Tilly Tennant’s next book.

This seemed cute given the plot, but it was a hot mess. It took so long to even get to the wedding or have the main love interests meet, by the time they did I already had given up on this one. I skimmed the rest. Not one for me.

A lovely love story about two people, both running from bad situations and heartbreak, that find happiness and comfort in each other.

Set at a wedding on Christmas Eve, Libby and Noah make the best out of being snowed in over Christmas.

Libby learns to throw caution to the wind to her usual regimented and organised life and Noah finds home is not where you live, but where your heart pulls you.

I really enjoyed this, it was a heartwarming romance story set around Christmas. Full of tender moments and festive cheer.

I enjoyed watching these two overcome their past and issues to try and find happiness in each other.

I have read From Love with Italy series by Tilly Tennant and enjoyed those books.

This is Libby's story who is a manager at a tailoring shop and is looking forward to her nuptials with Rufus. But all went wrong when she was dumped by him. Six months later she is looking forward to attend her best friend Willow's wedding and she has to as she has Chief Bridesmaid duties.
All the excitement of attending the wedding goes up in stress when she knows that Rufus is still her plus 1 and can come to the wedding and more so as she is avoiding all his efforts to reach her. Rufus is a literal piece of work, he is annoying.

Noah is a friend of Tomas. He is handsome, thoughtful (at least in helping with respect to the problems on the day of wedding) with a huge secret. The moment Libby's eyes meets his, she feels a pull, an attraction which she can't deny. The way she handles the wedding and what occurs there is pretty good.

Their interaction and all the story takes place in 3 days starting with Christmas Eve. The characters were good, I loved the trio of torment. There were moments were I enjoyed reading but it felt slow to me and bit long to me. Tilly Tennant has a beautiful imagination. There could have been more to the romance, Libby was too much into her self-pity and thinking about Rufus that it became a bit irritating because almost all the time this was the case.
The way Noah's secrets spills out and what happens next felt a bit conflicting to me and didn't settle well.

Overall this was an okay read for me as I expected more I guess. Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture for a chance to read this.

First, I must say that I'm a huge fan of Tilly Tennant's books. They are light, often humorous "family friendly" romances that are easy to read. This one was no exception. At the beginning of the book, the main character, Libby learns her fiance cheated on her. Then, it shifts to six months later at her best friend's wedding, where she connects with a new guy while dealing with the unwanted presence of her ex-fiance. The interactions with three charming, if sometimes naughty, little bridesmaids is a great comic addition to the story line. A great read!

This was an interesting book. So much took place over two days while snowed in. There was a lot of information compacted into this timeframe which helped add to the intensity. Libby is struggling to move on, not helped by a clingy ex, who spins stories to suit himself. I liked how she felt she could be herself with Noah, how he liked all the things about that she believed weren’t the most sexy qualities. Libby’s struggle with her internal thoughts and feelings were very real and identifiable of anyone who’s ever had a break up and trouble moving on. The attraction of Noah and Libby was instant and despite the obstacles in their way they believe it’s worth a shot, to embrace the inner person they locked deep within themselves and leap for love.
The friendship that they both developed with the bridesmaids trio was adorable also, I loved how they were so kind and caring to them.

Libby was jilted just before her wedding day by boyfriend Rufus when he ran off with her cousin. Now six months later she’s about to be bridesmaid at her best friend Willow’s wedding. But Rufus has been invited too and he is determined to win Libby back. Does Libby have the willpower to resist Rufus’ advances or will she succumb to his charms?

A good festive story which was an easy and enjoyable read.

This was my first book from Tilly Tennant and I really enjoyed it. It was light and fluffy which is exactly what I’ve been looking for recently. Libby was a fantastic main character and I felt like I could see myself in her. I’m definitely buying more books from Tilly in the future

How romantic to be snowed in at Christmas, for a wedding nonetheless!
The two main characters were ridiculously cute together and really made the story. It was though a book that felt to move so slowly that some wedding based events really just didn't need to be included, really the book couldve been faster paced and shorter or had some more drama in it, the secret that Noah had wasn't really something that was unexpected but it was the right issue for Libby, I just didn't really like the issue (my own concern) so it was a slight negative for me alone on this point

This was a lovely gentle read with a lot of festive spirit! I became nicely invested in the story and the characters were enjoyable - I love a wedding so the setting was perfect.

It did feel a bit too long - a lot of time was taken up with describing every thought a character had, no matter how mundane, so there were a few points where it began to drag. I found the central romance plot really enjoyable though so it felt worth getting through the slower parts.

Overall, if you are looking for a nice bit of Christmas escapism and you're a fan of gentle romance this is the perfect book.

3.5 stars*

It was a slow-burn chaste romance that was more of a woman's fiction than romance. The book is written in third point of view, but still focused on Libby. Throughout the novel, one can see how Libby is entertaining different point of views for the same situation, seeing it from different points, analyzing it, wondering how much had she contributed in it. Now, seeing the mom she had, I can understand why was it necessary for Libby to take part of the blame for a fault that wasn't hers. Libby had tragedy after tragedy in her life and even though she was the victim, it is normal of her to wonder if she somewhat contributed in it too. I think she is one realistic character.

Possible Spoilers Ahead

To be honest, I don't know how to feel about it.
I am conflicted, on one hand, I really liked Noah, but I am not sure if I could condone what was happening after the cat was out of the bag.
I am anything but a fan of cheating and to simply believe Noah (i mean I still like him and Libby, and their chemistry was great, but it still didn't feel that right)

Rufus, is an infuriating character, who is manipulative and doesn't hold a sorry bone in his being, I said what I said.

Willow and Tomas, and Willow's parents, and Libby's grandma, are delightful characters. Even the trio of torment are fun.

Overall, it was a nice book.

My Best Friend’s Wedding by Tilly Tennant a sumptuous five-star read. This was such a great story at the beginning and the end, the middle had a little wandering weave but for the most part it was a good story. This is romantic and sweet, but there is a harsh realness to the story as well, that just makes it so much more believable and more relatable. This does drift in spots, and you start to want them to get to the point, but overall, it’s a very nice story. Libby is a great character, but I did want to shake her a couple of times. Rufus and Noah both have their part to play, and they both have their faults and redeeming features in some ways maybe? But that is a big maybe in some parts. Christmas wishes do come true, and the snow in this story, will flutter into your heart.

This is Tilly Tennant at her best . A lovely love story told over a short time. Gosh Rufus was a nasty character .. Kylie was a terrible cousin and as for Libby’s mum. The snow and being locked in for the wedding was great and the three bridesmaids who were a handful and made you laugh at times. Libby was a lovely person. A great read. Glad she got her happy ending.

Libby dumped by Rufus before her wedding has the upcoming wedding of her best friend libby to contend with. Rufus decides he wants her back and turns up at the wedding with more lies. This book is very slow with a lot of descriptive detail about the wedding and Libby wallowing in self pity. It's a little dull in places and not enough to keep me interested throughout.

My best friend’s wedding is told in third person. It is a romance along the lies on women’s fiction and I enjoyed it. Libby is getting married to Rufus until he dumps her for her cousin. Six months later, Libby’s best friend Willow is getting married and Libby is her chief bridesmaid in a Christmas Eve wedding. The wedding is the first time she will see Rufus again after his betrayal but instead she meets Noah who is American and they have a passionate kiss. However, secrets about both Noah and Rufus come to light and what will Libby do? This was a really enjoyable read, which would be especially good to read during Christmas. If you like Lindsey Kelk and Jill Mansell you will enjoy this novel. My only issue is that the third person narration made it difficult to connect with the characters.

I hate to say that I was less than impressed, but it was not for me. I need my books to have a little more substance to them. This was more reminiscent of a Hallmark, made for TV, movie.

The bulk of the story takes place over the course of three days. While a lot takes place over those three days, it makes it hard to believe the story. Especially when there is a lack of subtlety through the text, like the author is trying to force you to understand their connection.

My biggest hang-up is a little bit of a spoiler, so I recommend not reading any more if you are going to read this book. However, I will try to keep it generic. BUT AHHHH!!! How infuriating is it to watch the main character be all but devastated over what happed to her then she is fine with another guy doing it as long as she is on the receiving end?!? What? NO! Just NO! There was no justification. How is she ok with this?

And I’m back . . .

Sorry, I did not sit down to write this review and get so worked up. I was holding out hope that it was going to end well and that it would redeem itself, but no such luck. It just ended up ticking me off. Which is a shame, because I reallllllllly wanted to like this book. The author’s writing is very imaginative and I enjoyed getting to know the characters, but that was about it.

All in all, this would not keep me from reading more books by this author. However, this one fell a little short for me.

If you end up reading it, I would love to know what you think and compare our takes.

P.S. For my fellow romance lovers, their is no steam. So if that is important to you keep looking. If it is something you DON’T like in a book, this is a good find for you!

This was a festive read with a twist based around the Christmas period and Libby’s best friend’s wedding where she is chief bridesmaid. Libby is still struggling from her own wedding being broken off six months earlier but is really happy for her friend and this comes across well. The wedding venue sounded beautiful however I can definitely appreciate that Libby wouldn’t want to be spending time with her ex especially when the weather is taking a turn for the worse. Fellow guest Noah seemed to bring out the best in her and the pair did a fantastic job of making the best of a challenging situation, I loved the three younger bridesmaids as they injected a lot of fun into this. The story sparkled and the characters were generally lovely, although this is told over a short time frame the intensity of the situation worked well and it’s a great read anytime of year.
