Christmas in the Scottish Highlands is a quick and easy read which conjures up vivid images of cosy family Christmases and snowy picture-postcard scenes. This delightful book is set in a quaint village in the beautiful Scottish Highlands which the author describes well, from the beautiful snowy landscape, to cosy evenings by fire. The book explores friendships, family relationships and romance and takes a peek into the close-knit village life. There are several budding romances which are really sweet and enjoyable to follow. The main focus is on Jack and Belle, their interactions are endearing and they begin to bring the best out in each other. Their romance is adorable with one or two deliciously heated moments sprinkled in.

This heartwarming read is brimming with lovely characters, community spirit and a cast of characters of all ages. Belle is the star of the show with her huge heart and ability to be able to put everyone else first. She is kind, caring and compassionate and brought joy and happiness to many people’s lives, but now wants a little happiness of her own.

Christmas in the Scottish Highlands is an uplifting and cheerful book in which every character has their happy ending. The perfect feel-good romance to get you in the Christmas spirit and to snuggle up with over the festive period.

A wonderful warm festive story about learning to listen to both sides of the story. Full of quirky characters I especially liked Edina and Tavish, Kenzy and Logan and who could forget Bob the donkey. The castle sounded beautiful and decorated for Christmas it would be the perfect place to celebrate. Christmas Village sounded just the most welcoming place with everyone looking out for and supporting eachother.

Belle lives in the village of Christmas, and does her best to help everyone around her. When she has an accident and knocks over Edina, she moves in to help her. But when Edina's long lost grandson turns up he is not happy with this arrangement and has his own thoughts on what should happen to both his grandmother and her home.

A great festive read, and I looked how it is told from different points of view.

What an incredible person Beth Albany is! Kind, caring, considerate but she forgets about herself. Beth is a primary school who lives in Christmas Village & after an accident when she knocks over the elderly Edina Lachlan in the snow, her life changes for ever!. Such a lovely story of kindness, hope, friendship, family & love. I did enjoy this book & just love a bit of Scotland at Christmas with all that snow! Recommended read. Enjoy!

What an absolutely lovely read this was. Belle knocking down Edina with her bicycle in the snow was the start of what was to become a really good friendship. This really was a heart warming story of friendship and love blossoming. Belle did so much for others it was really good that she found love eventually. Beautifully written and compelling. I found it hard to put down.

This is a heartwarming story. It shows how complicated human relationships can be and that every story has two sides to be considered. The plot is set in a close-knit community in the Scottish Highlands in beautiful scenery. I loved all the characters who went out of their way to help each other. It must be great to live in a place like this. There are romantic lines of the story of course and everybody has their happy endings eventually.
I can recommend this book to anyone who wants to spend some enjoyable hours with a lovely Christmassy romance.

I loved this endearing Christmas read! Is there anything better than an entertaining and touching Scottish village Christmas book to get you in the holiday spirit? I think not. This book delivers all the cozy small-town feels with a great plot and even better characters to fall in love with. I didn't want it to end!

A truly magical seasonal tale from Donna Ashcroft. You can’t beat a romance set in the Scottish highlands in the lead up to Christmas. A great set of characters of all ages and backgrounds. Funny at times. Add to that the perfect romance and this is a book you should read.

Community, Christmas Cheer, Family, and Love

Christmas in the Scottish Highlands is a lovely Christmas story about the importance of being open with those one loves and the power of kindness.

Belle Albany was an elementary school teacher with a heart of gold. So when she accidentally knocked Edina, an old lady from the village, down, she felt compelled to move in with her until she recovered from her injuries.

All was well, and they were striking a lovely friendship until Jack, Edina's estranged grandson, appeared out of thin air and was set on sending the old lady to a nursing home.

This rom-com was lovely. Clicked all the right boxes for me:
* lovely heroine - checked
* swoon-worthy, broody, emotionally unavailable hero - checked
* sweet old lady with a protective suitor - checked
* an adorable cat and a runaway donkey - checked
* a Christmas atmosphere - checked
* community, family, and romance - checked

My first book by this author, but certainly not my last ;)

A wonderfully enchanting tale. This book grabbed my attention right from the start and I felt I was there every step of the way, even out in the freezing snow with Bob the donkey.
I loved the message in this book, about learning to listen, to see both sides of a story and to be true and honest with yourself and brave enough to ask for what you truly want.
Belles heart is huge and I really liked how she managed to bring so much joy and love to so many people without even realising it. Jack vibed with her right from the start and she made him question all the things he believed were true about himself and others.
Seeing all the other characters interacting was great, I loved the multi generations all having fun together. I hope we get to meet them all again, I really liked Kenzy and Logan.

Belle is scared when riding her bike home she runs over widowed Edina, who ends up with a broken leg. Circumstances encourage her to move in for a few weeks to help her. When Jack, the grandson, finds out he rushes up to protect his grandma from a scheming woman. A good cast of characters and a wonderful warm Christmas message story of second chances and love. Highly recommend this book and author. Hard to put this one down.

Newly single Belle has been tasked with running the nativity at her job as a primary school teacher. While biking on her way home in the snow she had an accident and ran into an elderly woman who lives in Evergreen castle. Belle offers to move in for a couple of weeks and help the elderly woman when it’s been determined she has a fractured ankle and no one to take care of her. It so happens that this woman has a long lost grandson who is coming in for a visit. Jack (the grandson) doesn’t trust that there is a young woman who has moved in with his grandmother.

This book is a feel good romance that will get you in the mood for the upcoming Christmas holiday. It’s an easy read that I very much enjoyed. I loved the storytelling and the author describes things very effortlessly.

A beautifully written feel good story about kindness, friendship and the art of listening.

I loved so many parts of this book, the school Christmas performance, Belle’s acts of kindness as well as the friendship between the donkey and the cat. Both Belle and Jack have a past that has shaped their characters, Edina, who lives in the castle, has written her letter to Father Christmas and gradually emerges from her quiet lonely life. A fantastic book with interesting characters and a definite addition to the Christmas reading list

Heartwarming Festive Romcom…
Is this Christmas destined to be the same as last for Belle? The scene is set in the pretty Scottish village with snow falling and the nativity show on the horizon but will this be the year that Belle finds what she’s looking for? Heartwarming festive romcom and an entertaining slice of festive escapism for the holiday season.

A really feel good book. Lots of interesting characters . Gosh Jack’s father was so controlling over his life. Glad in the end he listened. Belle never stopped. I loved her. Dave was such a man, l thought he sounded ace. There are two sides to every story. Edina got all her lovely wishes. I adored Bob the donkey.
