A fun addition to this series! Sometimes the one you are suppose to marry isn't the one you end up with! Wonderful characters and an attraction that cannot be denied!

I really enjoyed Thomas and Sasha's story! The forbidden love story kept us guessing the whole time. Would they get their HEA?? A great read!

This book didn't work for me. The H/h weren't that interesting and couldn't hold my attention very long. I found this to be similar to the first book in the series, so if you liked that book then you might like this one.

This book happens during the same time line as the first book but I love adding a new layer to it. I loved these two characters and how much they were willing to risk despite their love.

Admittedly not my favorite - I prefer a series that progresses with each book, but this one takes place at the same time as the first book so it felt very repetitious with events taking place. This time is from the viewpoint of Sasha, Ilaria’s adopted sister and one who is treated like half family half servant. She ends up falling for Thomas, the Earl Ilaria was to wed.

I enjoyed their forbidden romance, but with this series I am having a hard time liking this royal family. They claim to love Sasha, but seem to have no problem using her however it suits them. I’m hoping as we get Remi and Grantham’s stories, my opinion changes. The romance was definitely more of a slow burn in this book and not as steamy as a typical Jess Michaels romance usually is.

Sasha, body double and adopted sister to Princess Ilaria from Athawick, falls in love with Thomas, Earl of Bramwell, and Ilaria's future intended. Thomas is equally drawn to her. While they spend a good amount of time fighting their attraction. A mad hitman and a plot to kill Ilaria draw them together.

This series has promise but hasn't quite delivered. The first 50% of this book is a retelling of book 1 from Sasha's perspective. Book 1 had a lot of setups so to go through that again was disappointing. It was also weird how they were in love from one interaction. I really like all of the characters and once you get past the setup, there's a lot to love about their stories. I really hope that Jess continues to smooth out the telling of this series in the next installment. I am invested now for better or worse.

DNF at 25%. This book just did not capture my attention in the same way that the first book did. I found both Sasha and Thomas to be very whiny, it was not enjoyable to read.

The Earl of Bramwell is in need of a wife, a wife with money. He’s set his sights on Princess Ilaria of Athawick fortune. But things don’t quite go as planned, it’s instant attraction when he meets Sasha the princess’s body double. She loves Ilaria like a sister and she’ll risk everything to protect the princess. A captivating story Thomas soon see Sasha for the young woman she is and how endanger Sasha’s life is protecting the princess. They know their love can never be, he needs money and prestige and she’s devoted to Ilaria and her protection. I love a man who wants one thing, but his heart and body tells him another. A captivating story of Sasha and Thomas I have voluntarily read and reviewed the excellent book.

Vivid imagination comes to life in a spellbinding thrill ride. Earl's Choice is a dangerous dance of hidden agendas and tempting attraction. Michaels' grabs you by the senses and proceeds to play games with your heart. Sasha and Thomas are a captivating mix of breathtaking romance and heartbreaking reality. Fate has dealt them a losing hand and it could cost them the ultimate price. Sensual. Suspenseful. Mesmerizing. Prepare to be swept away.

This is the second book in the series but it can be read as a standalone. Sasha is a body double for Princess Ilaria and when she meets Thomas, the man the Princess is to marry, sparks fly. Will she betray someone she sees as a sister? What will happen when her life is threatened? Fast-paced read with intense chemistry, plenty of drama and steam. Great world building and an entertaining story. I really liked it.

Earl’s Choice by Jess Michaels
Regency Royals #2

This author, this story, these characters provided me with a wonderful way to spend the day. I was swept into the past, given a swoon worthy hero and wonderful heroine to watch as they worked out whether their love would find a way to overcome the obstacles in their way. Loved Sacha and Thomas and was rooting for their HEA ending.

What I liked:
* Sacha: charming at six and still so at 23, strong, loving, caring, family oriented, knows her place, knows what she wants and why it may not be possible. Perfect for Thomas.
* Thomas: Earl of Bramwell, destined for a princess, feels a spark for Sacha and not for the intended princess, dutiful, loving, kind, and perfect for Sacha
* The royal family – all of them
* Getting to see Ilaria and Captain Crawford and how they were doing – and the part shared was in the previous book but good for those that had not read book one
* Remington “Remi” – prince, middle brother, playboy, wiser than anyone knows, protective, I am intrigued by him.
* Grantham: king, eldest brother, reserved, loving, diplomatic, wants what is best for his country, worried, a good man, someone I hope to get to know better as the series progresses
* Giabella: Queen, mother, miserably married and now widowed. Hoping she and Dash end up together and we get to hear their story.
* The mystery of who is REALLY trying to upset the country, king, family, behind the attempted assassination of Ilaria.
* The ending and how it plays out well for two in the family.

What I didn’t like:
* The assassin and whoever is behind the attempts made
* The feeling that duty was more important than love and wondering how that would be dealt with

Did I like this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Definitely!

I adored this book and this series. I’m in love with Jess Michaels´ writing and every book from her is a beautiful surprise.
Thomas, the Earl of Bramwell, has to repair his family’s fallen fortunes by marrying Princess Ilaria of Athawick. It’s not something he looks forward to, but he is resigned to it and it seems the princess is equally unenthusiastic. Everything changes when he meets her body double, Sasha Killick. His life is immediately turned upside down by the beautiful woman who catches his attention far more than any princess.
Sasha is an adopted daughter of the royal family, but she’s always felt on the outside looking in on her family. Because of how similar they look, she does what is required to help protect the princess, which is how she finds herself out on a terrace with Thomas. An immediate attraction begins to build to a love that can never be. But when Sasha’s life is endangered by people seeking to harm Ilaria, Thomas must decide if he’s willing to lose the woman who has altered his existence in every way that matters.
This story is sweet and engaging. I couldn´t stop reading it. I was obsessed with this two. Sasha is absolutely beautiful inside and outside. She loves her family among everything and she is willing to sacrifice her own happiness for Ilaria’s and the kingdom. Thomas is this tender, romantic hero that you cannot possible dislike. He cares too much for Sasha, this amazing protector that I also fell in love with.
This book is really really good. There are great sexy times but also extremely emotional. There is a scene in the opera that almost broke my heart with sadness and longing. Just perfect!
I loved all the secondary character and I’ll be waiting restless for the next of the books.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Earl's Choice is the second sexy and romantic book in the Regency Royals series by Jess Michaels. This story can stand alone. However, it's connected with the storyline from the first book, so you'll get much more reading pleasure if you start there. Ms. Michaels can always be counted on to combine historical romance with lots of steam, and luckily for us this book is no exception!

Thomas Martindale, the Earl of Bramwell, is in a huge bind. His father was a horrible man and when he died, he left his estates in a mess and basically penniless. Thomas has worked hard to rebuild, but he knows only one thing can refill the coffers and set everything to rights: marrying an heiress. His mother has the perfect woman in mind, and that is Princess Ilaria of the small island nation of Athawick, who has arrived in London. Her brother has just become king, and he wishes to cement an alliance with England by having the Princess marry a peer of the realm, and the choice is Bramwell. When Thomas meets Ilaria there's no spark with her...but there's an inferno when he meets Sasha Killick, her body double. When Sasha was six years old her parents died at sea, and she was adopted by the Royal Family of Athawick. She was treated as a beloved daughter and sister, but she always felt a bit like an outsider looking in, especially because of how the former king treated her. She is just as taken with Thomas as he is with her. However, he is meant to marry Ilaria, who is Sasha's adopted sister as well as the sister of her heart. Are they destined to be apart, torn from each other in the name of duty? But then Sasha's life is threatened as she stands in for Ilaria...

I really enjoyed this book, even more than the first of the series. I thought Ilaria and Jonah were a lovely couple, but they don't even come close to Thomas and Sasha! I could really feel the love and yearning between them, and their sorrow when they knew they were destined to be apart. It was especially hard since Thomas was to wed her sister, who was in love with another. What a tangled mess! Thomas loved his family and was determined to do the right thing, no matter that it was tearing him apart. I especially loved Sasha - she was adored by her adopted family, but still felt separate from them. The passion between Thomas and Sasha was incendiary, but also quite sweet. I very much enjoyed when the Royal Family was together; you could tell they adored their adopted daughter/sister. Only one thing dampened my enjoyment of this story, and that was it was taking place at the same time as the events in the first book. Though told by different viewpoints of the two couples, there wasn't much surprise in the plot; you knew the end result. But still, it was a hugely entertaining romance. I can't wait for book three, which will be Remi's story. Woohoo!

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher and NetGalley. I received no compensation for my review, and all thoughts and opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Earl’s Choice is the second book in the Regency Royal Series and you should read To Protect a Princess first to get the whole back story. Both books take place at the same time from different perspectives.

This book is about Sasha and Thomas, the Earl of Bramwell, they meet even though they were never meant to meet. Sasha is Princess Ilaria’s stand-in and Thomas is trying to repair his family’s legacy by marrying Princess Ilaria. But things do not go as they should and Thomas meets Sasha.

I have really enjoyed this series so far! The characters are very well written and I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This is one of those books where I love the main characters but found the plot lacking. My biggest issue is that this story is almost the same as the first book but told from Sasha’s perspective instead of Illaria. I love Sasha since the prior book. She is the adoptive sister of the royal siblings. Although they love her and treasure her as one of their own, she sees herself as being on the outside. I’m on Sasha’s side. I’m rooting for her. I’m happy for her to find someone like Thomas who really sees her.

Thomas, Earl of Bramwell, needs to marry a wealthy lady to restore his family’s reputation since his father squandered their money. His mother has her eye on Princess Illaria for Thomas. Thomas has his eye and heart on another. Thomas doesn’t see Sasha as his way to riches but wants to be with her just because of who she is. He is a decent man with a difficult choice to make.

I really liked Sasha and Thomas together and apart, which isn’t my issue with the book. The repetitive story telling wasn’t as exciting the second time around. I wish there wasn’t so many scenes with the same dialogue and events. It wasn’t all the same as book one but several scenes were almost identical which makes the story a little boring.

I’m really hoping Remi’s book will be different because I love his character. Fingers crossed for a great, fresh story in the next book.

This is the second book in the series & is easily read on its own, it does take place over the same timeframe as the first book & events appear in both books but from different perspectives & I felt it was definitely deja vue. That said I did love both Thomas & Sasha & thoroughly enjoyed their road to a HEA which looked as though it couldn’t happen for much of the book. The chemistry between the pair was electric & simmered for a good part of the book until it went up in flames. I look forward to the rest of the series

I normally love Jess Michaels and she 8s a go to for me. I enjoyed this first book in the series so I was excited for this ARC. Unfortunately it didn't work for me.
Sasha is the adopted daughter of the Queen. She acts as a double to the princess. On a trip to England with the family, a chance encounter with Thomas disrupts Sasha's life since Thomas is marry the princess.
This book run concurrent with the first book and I feel like there is really nothing new in this one that we don't already know.
Additionally compared to the H/h from book one, Sasha and Thomas seem dull and one dementional
I am still looking for to book 3 for Remi's story.

Jess never fails to surprise me with her depth of characters and the situations they are put into and how they get themselves out of those situations and eventually into love. But I have to say this story is a deviation from her other stories, and as she states in the publisher’s description: “All the longing and eventually...all the other stuff.” This such a sweet and charming story that I guarantee you will be entranced by it. Sacrifice, loyalty, family, and love are all part of this story. Just fantastic!

This book is AWESOME. I love this series. I love the family. This is one of my favorite Jess Michaels' series for sure.

Sasha and Thomas are so perfect! I was excited to read this after the first, you can read this one alone but I would not recommend reading this one without the first. You'll miss some important nuance. The best part of this book is that the timeline is parallel to the first book. I really enjoyed seeing the events from Sasha's perspective.

The story is wonderful. The underlying mystery keeps those pages turning. I am really loving this series. I cannot wait for Queen Giabella's story!

Sasha is everything lovely in a heroine. She is strong and independent, fiercely loyal to her family, and willing to do what needs to be done, even if it will not make her happy. She fights like hell for the people she loves. Thomas is everything wonderful in a hero. He is brave, protective, and self sacrificing. Handsome too. Thomas is spectacular.  Together they are perfect.

This is also one of my all time favorite Romance covers. I love it so much! You absolutely should read this book. Read Ilaria and Jonah's book first!

This is Sasha and Thomas story. It is the second book in the series. And frankly it is like Déjà vue. Same story but told from a different angle, Sasha and Thomas POV. But still a beautiful story. Very fast pace. Instant love. Great characters.

ARC provided by the publisher via Netgalley. The opinions are all mine.
