I quite enjoy reading about strong, unique women in history and Empress Theodora was definitely that. What a fascinating figure!

The story kept me hooked until it ended. I look forward to seeing more of this author. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for giving me a copy of the book, I really enjoyed the plot and the characters were well drawn.
