I have to start this review with compliments to the illustrator. The illustrations in this book are absolutely beautiful. The colours and textures coupled with the author's use of onomatopoeia create an immersive experience for the reader. I can imagine that reading this book with a child would be an interactive and fun. I was surprised by the inclusion of an educational page and ideas for further sound-based activities. I now know that the author is a teacher, so this is an understandable addition to the book. I like the idea of children being inspired to explore everyday sounds in a mindful and curious way. Would recommend this book to those with young children as an entertaining collective experience.

I love that the story is split into seasons and highlights sounds that are all around us. The illustrations are so vibrant and inviting as well! I also really like that the end of the book has questions and suggestions to engage the little reader and parent to explore sounds in the world around them. Great book! My 4 year old will love it!
