Wow, what a beautifully illustrated book!

The choice of subject is great, and the whole book comes to life thanks to the catchy colours. This book provides plenty of opportunities to listen to the sounds of the nature and your surroundings together with your children. My 3.5-year-old is a bit young for the activities at the end of the book but we had so much fun exploring and guessing different sounds in the house and the garden. Sounds are the source of simple joy in life - thanks for reminding me!

I am grateful for NetGalley and Chouette Publishing for this lovely ARC.

This is a brilliant book - accessible for young children and explaining sound in a simple way. A lovely introduction to non fiction.

I like that this is almost two books in one.
The initial part is a lovely book in its own right and I would happily use it with young children to start discussions around sounds and our favourite things.

The book also includes ideas for simple activities that can be done easily with young children to explore sound.

Perfect for home or school. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it.

What a beautiful book! This has everything, including the change in seasons, the science of sound, mindfulness and incredible language. I could make a week’s worth of lesson plans based on this text and I’ll definitely be purchasing a copy for my classroom. Thanks so much for letting me have a sneak preview!

Thanks for allowing me to read an advance copy of this book! This book is a great way to introduce mindfulness by encouraging children to pay attention to all of the sounds of life around them.

A gorgeous and fun little book about exploring and paying attention to the sounds all around you. I think it will make kids notice and appreciate the sounds that are the soundtracks of their lives.

I love this!!! There's potential for a lot of interaction with readers as they're encouraged to imitate sounds and think of sounds that they love. The text is full of lively, evocative language and the organization by seasons and time of day are good concept reinforcements for young kids. There's even a simple discussion of the science of sound and suggested activities at the end to add to the enrichment value of this book.

The illustrations are detailed and beautiful and will definitely spark discussion. This would be a great circle time read, but would also work well in small group or one-on-one settings where students could discuss and share their favorite sounds. I would love to have this in my school or classroom library!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

I have to start this review with compliments to the illustrator. The illustrations in this book are absolutely beautiful. The colours and textures coupled with the author's use of onomatopoeia create an immersive experience for the reader. I can imagine that reading this book with a child would be an interactive and fun. I was surprised by the inclusion of an educational page and ideas for further sound-based activities. I now know that the author is a teacher, so this is an understandable addition to the book. I like the idea of children being inspired to explore everyday sounds in a mindful and curious way. Would recommend this book to those with young children as an entertaining collective experience.

Thank you to NetGalley and CrackBoom Books for an ARC of What Sounds Do You Love? This is a fantastic book for preschool age children! I love that the story is split into seasons and highlights sounds that are all around us. The illustrations are so vibrant and inviting as well! I also really like that the end of the book has questions and suggestions to engage the little reader and parent to explore sounds in the world around them. Great book! My 4 year old will love it!
