What an amazing way to re-enter the world of Villains!
The pictures were so crisp and the story was, as always with Schwab, so captivating and dangerous and deep.
I loved this format and would love to see more of her books done as graphic novels!

ExtraOrdinary by V.E. Schwab is a joy to read -- but I'm a bit biased, as I love the author very much and love the Vicious universe even more. Though this one didn't fill me with as much joy as the first book, I still found myself loving every page.

I unfortunately couldn't really get into this one. I read the original novel and this felt very expositiony to me unfortunately.

I have always been a huge fan of V.E Schwab's work and this is no different. Thoroughly entertaining and with stunning art, ExtraOrdinary is an amazing addition to the world of Vicious and Vengeful and I hope we get to see more of these characters soon.

Firstly, I would like to thank Netgalley for providing me with an e-arc of the book. This review is based on my personal opinion and enjoyment of the book.

This one was really enjoyable and the art was stunning. However I didn't really form any emotional attachment to the characters so it was hard to care about what was really going on in the story and what the characters were doing. I do think avid fans of Schwab's The Villains series would enjoy this expansion of the world though.

I really enjoyed this one. I had no background on this story, but felt that I didn't need it- this graphic novels explained everything pretty well. The art was great and the writing fantastic.

I was kind of bummed by this one! I thought it would be the same story as Vicious just retold in graphic novel form. It was still enjoyable as is, just not what I expected. Beautiful art though and Charlotte is an intriguing new addition.

I don't think I would wish this super power on my worst enemy: seeing how people will die. That has to be the most traumatizing cursed super power ever. I have not read the books upon which this graphic novel is based, but Charlotte has all my sympathy. I feel for her from the start to the end.

The graphic novel art style for this one is ExtraOrdinary (pun intended). I adored the illustrations and the emotions this novel evoked. The color palate matched events and scenes and that made my heart happy.

I do feel like I missed out on some character backstories and some context by not having read the novels, but I still enjoyed the story and understood the plot.

If nothing else, read it for the art.

As always, V.E. Schwab has managed to create a graphic novel set in her novel's world and done it well. I love the artwork.

I really wanted to like this one but it was ROUGH. I absolutely hated the art style for these. It felt very much vintage Superman (which may have been the intent). The plot was also SUPER rushed. This should've had more issues to actually elaborate and explain the plot, especially considering the last few pages of the last issue shoots forward YEARS. It also took valuable time to rehash what you should know if you read the books instead of giving us more information about our current focus characters.

Unsurprisingly, I loved this graphic novel from Schwab. I absolutely love the Villains series and was so excited to get another story set in that universe. More great characters and a little more insight into Eli's life. Plus WHAT WAS WITH THAT ENDING?! I nee to know more!

I love how we are getting more stories in the Villains' universe. The new characters and powers were interesting and all that, but I truly missed more Victor content. Although, that ending almost made up for everything.

A fantastic new perspective into V. E. Schwabs Extraordinary-Universe. I truly loved the art style and Schwabs writing!

Charlotte almost dies. Then she doesn’t. But death follows her.

This graphic novel is classic Schwab, it has the heart of great characters with the complexity of a well crafted intricate world. Taking place in the world from her Villains novels, I do think it is helpful to have read those (or at least Vicious) before diving into this because there is so many layers to this story that I think would be lost without the context of the books.

The art and the formatting of this graphic novel works so well because the world feels like that of a graphic novel/comic. The “superheroes” and “big villains” is inherent to the world (and complicated further than that) so the graphic novel formatting only further serves that.

In this world death is not the end; individuals known as EO's gain superpowers after dying and coming back to life. We follow Charlotte as she grapples with her newfound powers and its repercussions.

I really enjoyed this! I haven't read either of the main books in the Villains series but this got me up to speed nicely and it didn't impact my enjoyment. I loved our protagonist Charlotte, she was really well developed. The art style wasn't my favourite, however it did grow on me the more I read.

As an extra note the bonus short story Warm Up was fantastic!

Thank you to NetGalley and Titan Comics for an Advanced Readers Copy.

I mean, what can I say aside from this is brilliant?

Schwab never disappoints, and this expansion on the world of Vicious and Vengeful is another showstopper. I love the hints of other characters, but how it's still a story all on its own. And the artwork. The ARTWORK. I could stare at just the cover for days, but then when you open the pages, there's even more beauty to behold! I've been a fan of all of Schwab's graphic novel/comics, and I can't wait to see what comes next.

Vicious is one of my favorite books and I adore V.E. Schwab, but this fell flat for me. I think if you have not read Vicious, you would be very lost. The first issue brushes through what happened in the book but too quickly. The story was interesting and a good addition to the ExtraOrdinary world, but again I don't think anyone coming in new to the world would really connect.

My biggest issue is the artwork. The human proportions are inconsistent and awkward in an untrained way. Schwab definitely won the lottery for her book cover designs but is 0/2 on decent artists for her comic book series.

I didn't get to read this one before the file archived. I was late by about a week. Still can't wait to read it, though!
