An emotional read, the story of three friends and how they cope when they lose someone so close to them.
They are all having struggles, whether they admit it or not, so a trip for the three friends makes them think about their lives and what they want.

This is a tale of friendship, heartbreak and hope. As I first started reading this book, I wasn’t sure that I was going to like the main characters, as it seemed as though they were stereotypes. However, as I kept going they grew on me. There’s a little bit of all of us in them. Vicky, who has two children and doesn’t think she’s cut out to be a mum: Zara, the perfect woman, beautiful, good job, fiancé etc, except she’s afraid to really commit to Liam: and Mike, grieving over the loss of Pia, his wife and the love of his life. As the story goes on, you see more depth in them all, as real people, who aren’t always perfect, everything doesn’t go right for them all the time, and who can grieve but still live. Their journey is heart warming, endearing and really makes you think. We all need friends who care, and family, who don’t judge you but love you, bad bits and all. So glad I was lucky enough to be able to read this book.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.

A beautiful tale of friends and the super power of friendship! It's easier to deal with life and loss when friends stand beside you. Friends are the anchor who can stabilise your ship in the worst of storms. It's one such story of three friends who are dealing with the loss of one of their mates...the common factor that brought them together in the first place.
They learn to smile, laugh and live all over again with each other, helping each other to find answers to questions, light in the darkness and some smiles amongst the tears the loss left them with.
The book pulls at the heartstrings and as the trio, Mike, Zaza and Vicky explore the unseen, the reader becomes a part of that journey, the destination which brings calm and peace to troubled souls. An absolutely lovely read❤️

When I saw there was a new book out by Giovanna, I couldn't wait to read it. This is such a lovely heartwarming real life situation story. I think people will be able to relate to some of the situations in this story, I hope after people read it they will feel as though they are not alone. I like how Giovanna has a way that makes it seem as she is caring not only for her characters but also for her readers. This story blew me away and I had tears in my eyes thinking what they all had gone through. The story is about two best friends Vicky and ZaZa who unfortunately have lost their best friend Pia, even though they are struggling without her, they are putting on a brave face for Pia's partner Mike. But Pia had other plans for them all once she had gone and I think at the end of the day this has helped them all. One of the lists sends them to Peru, they are all finding it hard without Pia but when they get together and do what Pia has asked them to do, they find a way to get themselves back together again. The author Giovanna has experience of trekking as she did a trek in 2019 for Coopafeel so I feel with this story we are getting first had experience of what trekking is actually like. It is such a lovely story and one that I will stay with me. I hope it has helped people that are in these situations that you are not alone and there is help out there. A beautiful story about friendships and love.

Really thought out and sensitively handled read, particularly at the moment in the current climate. Liked how the friends pulled together and support each other even amongst their own lives and problems within. Poignant, sad and lots to think about.
