A beautiful inspiring book with lovely pictures and easy to follow instructions. I recently attended a creativity in nature workshop and this book was a perfect follow-on. Whilst I done many crafts, wreath making was something I only did it Christmas, but this because inspired me that it could be something for all year round and I love the use of natural materials. I found foraging for some of the natural elements a great way of enjoying being out in nature in different seasons and it encouraged me to get outdoors. Lots of tips too of ways to recycle materials in ways you'd never have thought of.

I love to forage for plants, but hadn't considered using them in wreaths until this book! I love that the author uses found objects in her wreaths so you don't have to buy so many items, and can make as many wreaths as you want. I ended up going to a creek that my family and I like, finding a vine and forming it into a wreath. I used dried flowers in it and it was so cute. My only caveat - bees LOVE flowers and you don't want them around your front door! I ended up switching it out with some leaves that the bees weren't so attracted to!

This is an awesome book to learn how to make various style of wreaths. My favorites were the booklovers valentine and lavender heart wreaths. I've never made a heart shaped wreaths before, and these were awesome. I naturally gravitated towards these for a multitude of reasons- hearts are my favorite shape, I love to read, purple is my favorite color, and I love the smell of lavender.

This is a nice craft book that teaches you more than just wreaths. I appreciated the author's focus on sustainability and loved that she taught how to use willow to make wreaths and other shapes. There's quite a variety of wreath types outside of the usual materials here. She wrote part of it during lockdown when fresh flowers weren't accessible and that may have led to some of the more unusual materials. A fun read with lots of photos.

I read a temporary digital ARC of this book via Net Galley.

This book "Wreath Making for all Occasions" is a nice collection of 12 wreath ideas. I found a few wreaths I'd personally like to make- the Lavender Summer Heart wreath and the Winter Wonderland pinecone wreath are my two favorites! This book offers lovely pictures of each wreath and clear directions on how to make them, including the necessary materials. I think this book would be a great addition to any crafter's bookshelf or library.

Becci Coombs has put together an excellent book for crafters interested in making their own wreaths. She presents information in a very readable and easy to understand way, while promoting recycling and the use of earth-friendly materials. At the beginning of the book, she goes over the different types of materials used in the projects that follow, and then offers a variety of wreaths for all seasons.

Each project lists the materials needed and has easy to follow, step-by-step instructions with plenty of pictures. The pictures are beautiful and such a help!

I was so taken by the visual beauty of this book that I read through it in one sitting. Now comes the hard part, choosing which project to do first!

My thanks to NetGalley and Pen & Sword White Owl for permitting me to access an ARC of this book which is scheduled for publication 1/31/22. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and are freely given.

Thank you Becci Combes, Pen Sword and NetGalley for choosing me for an ARC of this lovely book.

Becci is Danish, living in the UK and the owner of hyggestyle.com.uk. Becci’s book gives a wonderful variety of wreaths, with beautiful photography and numerous steps to show how to make each wreath.

Some of the wreaths were with plants, flowers and “live” objects but there were also numerous wreaths to make out of simple day to day objects like paperback books, strong paper, wool and fabric. I loved that there is something for everyone, for those who are naturally gifted at creating to those of us not so inclined !

The reader can learn how to make bases out of willow and wire wreaths. Some wreathes require access to special products but many of the wreaths can be created in lockdown with less obscure “ingredients”.

Thank you for inspiring me To do something fun and create with my girls during our lockdown spring break. I am already eyeing off the eucalyptus trees and wattle across the road to create a gorgeous front door wreath. I am also going to try the Pom Pom wreath, rose book wreath and the Danish Paper stars.

Thank you for arriving into my life at the perfect moment and your beautiful inspiration, not to forget the unexpected but wonderful humour in the instructions, I won’t be making any wool wreaths while eating buttery toast - thanks for the warning ⚠️!

Highly recommended and. Beautiful gift.

Wreaths make gorgeous and even stunning decorations wherever you hang them so it is worthwhile to learn how to make your own.

In this book, the author teaches you how to, with some emphasis on using eco friendly and sustainable materials or salvaged and upcycled objects from around your house or wherever you can. Step by step pictorial and text instructions are given and are easy to follow.

I liked all the projects except for a couple, and there is a good range of styles. Ms Coombes has a soft spot for Scandinavian designs so you will find some delightfully simple and even minimalist wreaths.

Overall a good book for learning this beautiful craft.

I made my very first wreath over 30 years ago and have made quite a few more since then. But I’ve never really given myself to some of the ideas in this book and I am excited to make them. Collecting my own willow reeds and making shapes far different than I have in the past is the next wave for me.

This book provides instructions and pictures to guide you into making your own wreaths from scratch. Use some of the ideas, incorporate your own as you conceive them and you are on your way to having some really creative wreaths to hang on your door, in your home, or to give as gifts. I LOVE this book!

Plenty of good photographs and the author’s sense of humor made this a winner for me. I also appreciated the author’s concern for the environment, emphasizing reused or scavenged items when possible. The book includes a variety of wreath themes suitable for different seasons.
