This was a lovely Christmas story by Heidi Swain. I especially loved the setting of the Christmas tree farm, the idea that recurrent customer can rent their trees and come back year after year to pick them up is genious.

If you are a fan of Swain's stories, you won't be disappointed at all, this one has all the elements that she always delivers: magical setting, welcoming community, a main character that is a bit lost and needs to re-discover herself.

Plus it's always nice to catch up with characters from previous stories.

Settle in, get comfortable with a mug of hot chocolate and be transported to the wonderful place of Wynters Trees which is described beautifully.

The sizzling chemistry and blossoming romance between Liza and Ned were adorable.

Lovely and heartwarming

Thank you Simon and Schuster for the approval in return for an honest review and NetGalley.

Love love love Heidi Swain and this was no different! It felt like I was really there on the Christmas tree farm amongst the pines.

Wonderful festive romance as usual!

You always know that you’re going to be in for a treat when reading a Heidi Swain book, especially when it’s one of her Christmas books as they tend to have that bit of extra magic. This one was no exception and I don’t think it could be much more Christmas themed than being set on a Christmas tree farm and market combined into one!

I’ve always loved the idea of visiting a Christmas tree farm at Christmas, I just think it would be such a magical experience, going out there and selecting your tree. But this has got me set on a new idea - renting out your tree, bringing it back to the farm for them to look after during the year and then rent it again then next year until it grows too big - I mean that just sounds perfect, and means you don’t end up leaving your tree to brown in the garden. I’m on a mission to find somewhere locally to me that does this now!

But anyway, back to the book… Liza and Ned are so clearly meant to be together and you just know that you’re right there with David, hoping that Liza will change her mind and start to fall for the charms of Wynters. I mean if it was me I’d be sucked straight in but Liza seems pretty set with her ideas and plans and it really doesn’t seem like she’s going to change her mind for anything.

As always, it was great to bump into a few familiar faces within the pages, although it has made me desperate for another visit to Wynthorpe Hall… Heidi has managed to grab Christmas and wrap it up in a wonderful bundle in this book and honestly I can’t wait for the snow to start falling and for the Christmas craft markets to start up, I think I’m going to be buying a few more homemade unique treasures this year!

Nobody, and I mean nobody, does Christmas like Heidi Swain! I always know Christmas is coming once I get my Heidi Swain Christmas books out and I am so excited that they have a new addition! 'Underneath the Christmas Tree' is the perfect festive read with love, humour, and all things Christmas.

Liza is entrusted with saving her fathers christmas tree business , even though she wants to sell it and move on. It's a really magical site and I loved the idea of christmassy beach huts showcasing the local artists work. I could just imagine spending time browsing all the different crafts chatting to the stall holders that you feel you know. A very festive feel surrounds this book.

Lovely to be back in Wynmouth meeting some new characters and catching up with some old ones. I didn’t warm to Liza at all however Ned more than makes up for her chilliness! The plantation sounds like the perfect place to visit! Overall a heartwarming romantic read that I think can be read all year round - don’t just save for Christmas!

As Liza takes one last trip back to Wynters Trees, she plans to sell her shares which was left to her by her dad. She had no affinity with it, it just brings back bad memories. Can her dad's business partner and friend David and his son Ned get her to stay? A lovely Christmas story, set in a forest of Christmas trees, truly magical.

Oh my goodness what an absolutely beautiful book this is! From start to finish I just loved this. The character’s in this are fabulous and really easy to love. I really felt like I knew them. Liza is such a lovely girl, I just wanted everything to work out good for her.

The location of this book is completely stunning, honestly I could just imagine it so well. I would just love to live there. The community etc just a really warm welcoming place.

This book has got me so excited for Christmas and I definitely believe this will be the best Christmas book this year!

Where to start? Well, for me there are two authors who make Christmas better with their books. One is Milly Johnson. The other is our Heidi Swain. She is the Queen of festive feelings and her winter books always make me cosy and give all the feels!

Liza is the best friend I wish I had. I adore everything about her and feel like we'd bond instantly. She's warm but jaded due to her past heartaches, fierce when she needs to be and she is strong. I loved the way she develops relationships in this story, they feel so natural. Heidi is great at that!

As for Ned... What to say? From the moment we first meet him, I kinda fell a leeeetle bit in lust. I think he's my new book boyfriend! Hands off girls, he's mine!

A Christmas cracker! Wynters Trees was started by Liza’s dad, but she wants nothing to do with the company. She hasn’t been back since her father died. Despite her best efforts she is forced to return and agrees to help out over the Christmas period with a view to selling her shares when the season is over. Liza is determined that Wynters Trees will not win her round. But she has not counted on the spirit of Christmas and the wonderful people she meets along the way.

What a gorgeous Christmassy read. This book really ticked all the christmas boxes and really helped get me in the mood for christmas. I loved the will the won’t they although I was screaming at Liza at times to wake up and see what she could have! A lovely snowy read

I have read all of Heidi Swain's books and am a complete fan. Underneath the Christmas Tree was no exception even if I did get angry with the heroine, Liza quite often for not realising the happy future she could have at Wynter's Trees with Ned.

The book delivers a taste of Christmas and I was reading it at exactly the right time of year, especially as my festive spirit was initially a bit lacking due to the pandemic.

Love the idea of families having the same live Christmas tree year after year until it becomes too large and then planting it out to continue growing. Adored the slow burn romance, even if I was yelling at my kindle on occasion when Liza didn't see the good thing that was in front of her, but I guess we are all on a journey through life and Liza had to work her way through some difficult issues before she could accept happiness.

Warm hearted, christmassy and ultimately uplifting. Can't wait for the next Heidi Swain book.

I can honestly say I will never be disappointed with any of heidi_swain's books, especially her Christmas ones. As with all her others, this oozed with festive spirit and it gave me all the feels. I ADORE the little village vibe, the beautiful Christmas scenes, the page-turning "will they won't they, oh please don't be silly" drama, the gradual (but obvious) romance and of course snow! The dynamics of the main and sub characters is also perfect- it isn't hard to be invested and feels like catching up with old friends.

I needed an easy going, uplifting read and this was the ideal choice
