A beautiful and festive Christmas book with all of the feel-good Heidi swain feels I’ve come to expect and love. It has everything you need and want from a festive book and I really enjoyed learning about the Wynters. Such a fab idea - I wish/hope it exists!

A magical festive tale. Liza heads back to her family home of Wynter trees. She doesn't want to stay but suddenly finds plenty of reasons for her to stay.

Heidi does it again with her characters that you fall in love with and the beautiful settings.

Perfect Christmas read .

UNDERNEATH THE CHRISTMAS TREE by HEIDI SWAIN.

This is Heidi’s second book set in the fictional seaside town of Wynmouth. It is however, easily read as a stand alone story.

Another beautiful Christmas book from Heidi Swain.

Liza Wynter is trying hard to move away from her past, but the past isn’t ready to let her go quite yet.
Reluctantly drawn back to the Christmas Tree farm that she part owns after the death of her father, Liza wants as little to do with it as possible.
Her father’s business partner has now passed his share of the farm onto his son, Ned, who is keen to welcome Liza and make a success of the business.

Can Liza move on from what has gone before and make a future in the one place she wanted to escape, or will she stick with her plan to get away as quickly as she can to go off on to new adventures?

This is another cosy, adorable and fun read from Heidi Swain. Her books are always enjoyable, but I do think her Christmas books stand out from the crowd and are a little special.

With it’s pretty cover, you’ll be drawn in from the start and fall in love with this charmingly warm and festive tale.

A festive, feel good, five stars from me.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

With thanks to #Netgalley and #SimonAndShusterUkfor an ARC in return for an honest review.

What a beautiful story, filled with love, laughter, personal growth and some inspirational processes.
The story follows Liza as she faces her past in order to have peace and love in her present.

The more she tries to close the door on her past, the more drawn into the life her past offers her she becomes.

There is a very handsome and sexy Ned, his gorgeous Husky and his dad David.

We meet other locals and nemesis.

There are light hints to some steamy potential moments that we don't usually get in a Heidi Swain Book. Very welcome too.

The community spirit is enhanced by the beach hut markets and love of Christmas Trees.

You find a lot of Heidi in this book.

I definitely recommend this and all other Heidi Swain books.

My thanks to Netgalley and Simon & Schuster for the reading copy!
My first Heidi Christmas novel - it won't be my last! There, that's a good start. I love a book where the supporting characters are as fully rounded as the main, and oh wow, I was not disappointed. This was just the lift I needed and sets me (at least) up for the forthcoming season.

I loved being back in Wynmouth with Liza and Neds story. This is a standalone book !
The book has beautifully described locations, well developed characters , a strong sense of community, and a great storyline.
This is the ultimate winter/Christmas book, full of festive cheer. Forget real life for a while and dive into this book ,you won’t be disappointed!
A big thank you to Netgalley, Simon & Schuster and Heidi for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review
Highly recommended

Reading Heidi Swain's latest Christmas book is like falling into a warm festive hug. It's safe, it's cosy and I know I'm guaranteed delightful characters in the perfect seasonal settings. This year's novel is set on a Christmas tree plantation. You couldn't get more festive than that!!

I've read a few of Heidi's books now but this is my first visit to Wynmouth. I love how she creates a place that feels so real that you can almost step into the page and be there having a hot chocolate with the characters.

I would definitely recommend this book for anyone looking for a great, feel-good read to start their Christmas reading.

Super cosy Christmas read!
The location is idyllic for Christmas enthusiasts set amid Wynters Trees farm with colourful beach huts selling locally made merchandise, revisiting some characters from previous books, fabulous feasts and gorgeous eye candy what more could Liza Wynter want?
Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be her cup of tea, but she promises to stay for the Christmas period to help Ned, rather attractive, hard working and loyal chap, who is running the farm along with his dad.
Will the farm entice her to stay?
She certainly embraces tasks while she’s there and sparks are flying between her and Ned.
Christmas reading has commenced and this was a thoroughly delightful read as usual!

Nobody writes a Christmas book quite like Heidi.
She creates beautiful locations that leave me wishing I could live there myself and interesting, likeable lead characters that you always find yourself rooting for throughout.
This story was set in Wynmouth, which has featured previously in The Secret Seaside Escape, but Wynter's Trees is set on the outskirts so it was a new, fantastic place to learn about, filled to the brim with a fabulous bunch of fresh people to get to know.
I loved it from the get go and got totally swept up in the festivities on the Christmas tree farm as they got closer to the big day.
I am definitely looking forward to more books set in Wynmouth and revisiting some of the lovely characters I met during this one. 🥰🎄

Underneath the Christmas Tree is one of those stories that you want to read more than once (and at any time of year). It’s a real boost to your emotions, making you feel uplifted and positive and ready to take on anything.

When we first meet Liza she’s planning her adventure of a lifetime … which is soon interrupted by David sharing his news of retirement. She doesn’t have any interest in Wynter’s Trees and hasn’t ever drawn the full share of the agreed amount every year. Reluctantly she agrees to David’s request and returns with the view of making as quick a getaway as she can. But then the magic starts to happen :)

I loved the pace of the story. Liza’s transformation isn’t easy – I love a flawed character who works hard emotionally and wow, does she ever! She’s creative and thoughtful, putting others before herself. I loved her inclusivity and the outcome of her interference.

A couple of scenes had me in tears, connecting me to my own memories making those scenes very poignant. David is very wise when he tells Liza she has unfinished business and needs to work it out before she can move on.

Wynter’s Trees is another fabulous community from Heidi Swain and one I want to live in (I’m hopeful for a re-visit at some time in the future)! Through Liza helping out with the huts we get to know and love the independent business owners – sharing their joy and sadness. And then, of course, there’s Ned. Just thinking about him makes me grin!

If you only read one Christmas themed book this year, make it Underneath the Christmas Tree. You won’t be disappointed!

A lovely Christmas story set in a Christ as village type of place where Christmas trees are grown and then sold. I enjoyed the descriptions of how people get their Christmas trees. It’s a feel good Christmas story with romance thrown in as well! What more could you want!

The run up to Christmas is always full of wonderful book releases, and this year has yielded a bumper crop! Heidi Swain never fails to create gorgeous stories, and this is another corker.
Set in a new location, the village of Wynmouth, we get to meet a whole host of new characters, and a few that we’ve met before. Don’t worry if this is your first book from Heidi, it works beautifully as a stand-alone story.
My heart went out to Liza, as we learn that she holds nothing but painful memories of her time in the village. She had only briefly shared her father’s dreams, regarding the Christmas tree plantation, before heartache stole her joy. When she is faced with the cause of her pain, it’s interesting to see how that situation will pan out.
Of course, Heidi always provides a love interest and Ned is a perfect example. His kindness and determination to make the tree plantation a sustainable success is a gorgeous trait and Liza is obviously drawn to him, particularly after their nearly naked introduction. Of course, Liza is determined to sell her shares and travel, before starting her own business, so she’s not interested in seeking out any romance.
I had a few favourite characters, but I think that honour is shared between Liam and Maya. I enjoyed their stories and felt that they were a joy to follow as they each brought a special dimension to the book. It’s not just Liam and Maya that captured my imagination, Heidi is a seasoned storyteller, and each character was well developed and interesting. As usual, there is a canine star and that honour goes to Bandit, Ned’s gorgeous Husky, perfect for a Christmas setting.
I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Wynmouth and hope to return for future visits.

This is an absolutely gorgeous festive read. I enjoyed reading it immensely. It will definitely make you feel very festive. It's perfect for curling up with a hot chocolate( with cream and marshmallows of course!).
This is a standalone book, but it is set in Wynmouth, where several of Heidi's books have been set. It is lovely that some of the previous characters from Heidi's books pop up in this one.
This book is set on a Christmas Tree Farm on the lead up to Christmas. Liza Wynter has reluctantly returned to the place that she never thought of as home after the death of her Father. Ned and David are on a mission to make her fall in love with the farm, as she spends one more Christmas there. I liked all of the characters, and it would be wonderful if they pop up in future books.
Heidi Swain is very skilled at writing Christmas books. She manages to cram in so much festive fun and cheer and you know that you will be in for a treat. This is the ultimate feel-good festive read. I was lucky enough to be offered an early preview copy of this book from Netgalley and the Publisher. I am eagerly looking forward to reading Heidi's next book.

Wynter’s Trees is the home of Christmas. The place that truly bring Christmas to life for Wynmouth’s residents. But it is a millstone around Liza Wynter’s neck.

With her father gone, Liza refuses to have anything to do with the business that was his pride and joy. But when her father’s business partner announces his retirement, Liza must return to Wynmouth to handle the transition to his replacement, and son, Ned.

When Liza arrives, she finds the treasured business flourishing under Ned’s stewardship. With a plan formulating in her mind, Liza agrees to help over the Christmas season before she leaves Wynter’s Trees and Wynmouth behind her for good.

But will the place where she grew up, or the people there, make her change her mind?

Heidi Swain does it again!! There is absolutely nothing not to love about her books. Each one is filled with warm and wonderful characters, and with the continuation of each series you feel like you are being welcomed back by friends, and this title was no exception.

I found it especially enjoyable as I loved the setting of Wynmouth in this book’s predecessor, The Secret Seaside Escape. Now we’re visiting again and seeing familiar faces, but this time with a new protagonist and plenty of festive feels thrown in too.

Swain whisks you away with her captivating descriptions of Christmas within this close community, so much so, that at some points during reading I found myself thinking that the beach huts filled with handmade wares would be a great place to grab some presents! There are plenty of laugh out loud moments, some tense and sad times and even some antics with a four-legged friend that will keep you entertained between these pages.

I highly recommend Underneath the Christmas Tree to get you into the seasonal swing of things. If Christmas trees, festive markets and homemade hot chocolate aren’t enough to get you feeling merry, nothing will!

If you want a feel good Christmas book, this is the one. Another lovely Christmas book from Heidi Swain.

Liza has shares in her dads Christmas tree company and she wants to sell them, but first she has to visit and things might change her mind. Loved Liza and Ned from the start, the characters are all written well and I can imagine being in the middle of all the busy people getting ready for Christmas.

Wonderful, heartwarming romantic Christmas tale.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for an advanced copy.

As soon as I saw this on netgalley I requested it straight away. Heidi Swain got me back into reading with her fabulous books.
This is (like the others) a feel good, easy read that will help you escape into someone else’s life.
I absolutely loved it. Definitely one to get us into the Christmas spirit & to read whilst sipping hot chocolate on a rainy day.

I have a new tradition to get me in the mood for Christmas and it’s to settle down with the new Heidi Swain, a blanket and a hot chocolate and immerse myself in the ultimate Christmassy read. It’s our first festive visit to Wynmouth and it’s a great one. When Liza Wynter returns to Wynmouth to try and sell her share of Wynter’s Christmas Trees she does her best to try and avoid people but that’s easier said than done when everyone is so eager to see her and welcome her back and when she meets Ned part owner there is an undeniable spark. (Which she tries very hard to deny). A fabulous cast of likeable characters from the craft beach hut owners to her former school bully . Heidi Swain is always a delight to read I need to go and find a Christmas tree farm now 🎄

Thanks to Simon & Schuster UK and Netgalley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for a review.

Liza Wynter returns to the Christmas tree plantation that was her late father's business, determined to sell her share and to move on with her life, however, she hasn't counted on Ned and his dad David.

A really lovely Christmas story.

This is a real Christmas cracker of a book. Heidi Swain has a wonderful knack of bringing her settings and characters to life via beautiful descriptive prose and I could picture every little part of Wynter's Trees and the characters in Wynmouth who visit to buy their Christmas trees or to collect their own potted trees every year. What a great idea this is in this age of being 'green'. Customers buy a potted tree and after the festive period is over they return it and it is stored with their name on it for collection in subsequent years. When the trees become too big for the pots they are planted out! I love this idea. Liza Wynter's father began the business but since he died it has been run by David and his son Ned. Liza isn't keen to be involved but when she spends this winter season at the premises and meets Ned a romance blossoms - albeit a very slow burner of a romance! I loved all the characters in this book especially the young man Liam and I really hope we get to see his character in a future book. I'd love to know how he gets on. With such likeable characters this book can't fail to warm the coldest heart. Even Liza's love rival is a wonderful woman which makes the romance even more addictive as the reader is left wondering how things will turn out. I can heartily recommend this lovely, feelgood book to cheer up those coming cold and wintery nights. Oh and, yes, isn't the cover totally gorgeous? My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a pre-release copy in return for my honest and unbiased opinion.
