I read and loved the first book in this series and I was so excited to read the next book. You dont need to have read book one to enjoy the story because there is a little catch up at the beginning but if you do enjoy these kind of reads I would suggest you start at the beginning.

Christmas Hope for the Steel Girls follows the lives of firm friends Betty, Nancy and Patty who all started work in the steel factory in Sheffield. Having learnt the ropes they are now working unsupervised. War has just began and the men are off training or fighting in the war. Times are still hard as they are still trying to bounce back from The Great War. Most families are lving hand to mouth. So a support group has been set up so anyone struggling, to clothe themselves or their family, are able to pick up some much needed unwanted clothes that have been donated.

This story is very much about pulling together, looking out for one another and helping out during the tough times. Theres a slow burn romance brewing and I wont say who but its so sweet. I was kind of tean Patty when Daisy came along but I soon warmed to her shes a great character. I live quite close to where this book was set and its feels so homely to read about places I know in book. Loved this book from cover to cover and I cant wait to catch up with them again in the next book.

Wow, an addictive read. We revisit Steel Girls Patty, Nancy and Betty who not only work hard in the factory and see to their families they also manage to find time to offer help to them more in need than themselves.

They may have been workers of steel but they certainly didn’t have hearts of steel.

20/10 if I could score like that, absolutely loved catching up with the girls as they carry on their war work at the steel factory, loved the new character Daisy and how the girls rallied around to help her family out at a bad time in their lives, can't wait for the next instalment to find out what is wrong with the lovely Archie and if he tells all of the group what is ailing him
Wonderfully written and a great cast of characters as usual
Loved loved loved it and would highly recommend this book

Firstly thank you Netgalley for the ARC. What can I say this series is just getting better and better. I still feel like I am one of the girls in the book and if you love family sagas this is right up your street. I love how the book follows on from the first book so you aren't missing anything. Read last night after downloading and didn't want it to end. Roll on the next in the series
