Why is it that somehow all my ARCs are falling into 3 stars?!? Well, anyway this book was really touch-and-go for me. LOVED some parts, tolerated some and dislike a few.

The blurb seemed to hint at an enemies-to-lovers romance between Aaron and Joan, but boy was that not the case. That's my own fault, I went in expecting something that wasn't there. And actually I'm kind if glad, because Aaron was kind of a bully who would just scoff at her if she didn't know something instead of guiding or teaching her through it. But the person she <i> did </i> fall for wasn't much better.

Aside from the romance, the plot was good. It kept me engaged and that's good enough for me. Do with this what you will.
