The last two Sarah morgan’s books I didn’t love but this one was different. The characters were incredible and I was so invested in their story wanting the best for them. I love the theme of communication and how important it is and thought the story explained it perfectly. The narrator was good which led to a really enjoyable reading (listening) experience

Nothing evokes the Christmas spirit more than a good 'Sarah Morgan'! This delightful audiobook truly brings joy and continues what is becoming quite the seasonal tradition for me!

The plot involves a fracture in the marriage between Christy and Seb, who, along with infant daughter, Holly are due to spend Christmas in Lapland with estranged relatives. In a bid to save her marriage, Christy asks best mate, Alex to take Holly instead, only neglecting to mention that Alex' nemesis Zach will be going to.....

Sure, as you'd expect from this genre, the basic plot of love blossoming between 2 adversaries isn't shattering the earth with originality, but then that is unlikely to be a requirement for readers of this genre. What we do get checks all the necessary boxes:

beautifully captured descriptions of spectacular locations - check
perfectly captures character descriptions - check
swiftly moving plot - check!

Also the narrator - fantastic, a lovely voice to listen to and achieves something that is close to impossible p- narrating a little girl voice without b being annoying in the least!! A job well done!

I absolutely wouldn't hesitate to recommend this book to fans of this genre and offer my thanks to Netgalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Sarah Morgan’s Christmas novels are like peering into a snow globe. She encapsulates the magic of families, friends and romance all in a winter wonderland setting and places them into her magical world for you to gaze into.
Her characters have worries and flaws, like the rest of us, and in this novel they are in the form of Christy and Alix. Christy is fearful her marriage to Seb is in trouble so she decides to try and salvage it - even though she has a trip booked to Lapland for them with her little daughter Holly. She decides to stay behind with Seb and entrusts her friends Alix and Zac to take Holly to Lapland instead. The plan is to all reunite on Christmas Day. But will Christy save her marriage in time ? And will Alix let down her guard and let Zac into her life?
This I has everything from pine tree snowy settings to log cabins to the Northern Lights and what more could you wish for from a novel to snuggle down with over Christmas ? The narration is done by Rose Robinson who does a
lovely job of a variety of voices ranging from Holly the little girl right through all the adults. A pleasure to listen to! My thanks to Netgalley and to Harper Collins for my gifted copy.
