I always wanted to go back to this book and finish reading it.
However, it is too long now.
What I truly felt excited about was how the author brings this various strands within humanity together that focuses on community & communion with the earth.
This is then extrapolated to a spaceship where current humanity in the meantime lives. However, there are plans afoot to go back to planet earth and see if humanity could return to the planet.
As much as I loved the parts that looked at spirituality, at honouring the planet and its various life forms, I disliked the second story line that emerged from within the spaceship with this two so incredibly toxic male characters that in the end, this second story line stopped me from continuing to finish this book.

Mellinar is a teenager living on a spaceship. Mellinar due to her dreams may be the emissary that was foretold. She is given tests to take to see if is by the administration council. She passes the tests. There is debate if she should go back to earth. Mellinar doesn’t know what to think and yet she knows she must, How does she know? She is trained by an expert in survival techniques. They travel back to earth on a merchant ship. Once they arrived, they start to learn about earth. Mellinar has never lived on earth so it amazes her. When her mentor is on a cliff that collapses he is killed. Mellinar is scared to be alone on earth. Yet she bravely goes on. What will happen to her? Will she survive?

In this novel, people escaped earth via spaceships. Earth had become polluted and toxic to the human race. I found myself following Mellinar on her journey. Mellinar is a fascinating person as she learns so much about earth. I enjoyed seeing her inner and outer self growing in wisdom and knowledge. It’s a fantastic novel to read. I would recommend it to anyone to read.

This is quite good, but hasn't gotten much attention. It's interesting story that kept me engaged. The author has a good imagination, and uses it well here. Recommended.

Thanks very much for the free review copy!!
