This was a great book and a great way of learning a language. It may need adult intervention to ensure a child uses it daily, rather than reading it all at once. Nicely presented.

This is the perfect book to help pick up some additional words in Spanish. It is a colourful and exciting book which is perfect for kids.

Simply superb! What an amazing language learning system made easy for a wide age range. A simple technique of introducing 5 topic words per day with bright colourful pictures and fun quiz activities to round up your learning. The course spans the full 52 weeks of the year. After just one week, my kids picked up so many new words. I immediately ordered this book and the accompanying flash cards. As a family we can enjoy a daily bonding activity and pick up key Spanish vocabulary that covers a wide variety of topics from the months, numbers, school, the body, clothing, sports, pets, family, etc. I am gobsmacked how quickly my youngest picked up on the new words. #spanishforeveryonejunior5wordsaday #netgalley

This is an absolutely wonderful vocabulary book. It’s split into manageable chunks for learning and there’s exercises to complete and recap at the end of every week.

The pictures are very diverse and inclusive which is lovely to see.

The only addition this book could have would be a section on how to use the words, there’s a tiny bit on understanding questions, but no information on how to ask or for example to say you have a sore tummy, or ‘please could I have ……..’
Although you could definitely be well equipped for a Spanish holiday if you worked through this book.

Don’t underestimate this book. It’s not just for children.
I am a frequent visitor to Spain. I can say hello. Goodbye and thank you. I know how to ask for red and white wine and the bill. That’s it.! I want to be able to converse so this book is perfect to give me the basics.
20 words are given to the read over four days On the fifth day, you can practise the words you’ve just learned. Over the course of a year that’s over a 1000 words. Laid out in a simple way. Very easy to follow.
To be the best bit is the link with a web page. You can access the words and hear them pronounce. So you really get the feel for the Spanish language. We are certainly using this book for the whole family.

A great book for Children (or even adults who are complete beginners) to learn Spanish. The book is well illustrated and colorful, which is inspiring for young learners, and I love the repetitive learning approach it takes.

Fabulous book! Lovely, bright illustrations laid out in an easy to use format. Although this book is for children, I think learners of all ages would benefit.

Absolutely fantastic way for a child or adult to learn Spanish.
No excuse for not having enough time to learn a language as you are literally learning 5 words per day!
My kids are still very young but I will definitely purchase these to help with their languages at some point.

Wow this is amazing! My 12 year old has been learning Spanish for a year, I can't wait to show her this book. I think it will definitely be one to buy. The layout is great as well as the pictures. I love how colourful the pages are. Set out in sections for learning 5 different things each day then a test at the end of the week to see what you remember. There is audio aswell on the DK website but yet to check this out. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this amazing book.

Spanish for Everyone Junior: 5 Words a Day by D. K. is a wonderful educational workbook that helps introduce younger school age children to the world of the Spanish language.

I have been looking for a fun, educational, and catchy workbook to help start my 6 y/o son into the wide, wonderful world of the Spanish language…and I have found it.

Definitely not intimidating, colorful images, and easy to follow patterns and instructions really add to the value of this book. It is fun working with my son on the first few pages (we just started it), but he loves it, doesn’t feel that it is “work”, and is remembering the words so far.

Definitely looking forward to continuing the lessons and highly recommend for vocabulary introduction with the younger school-age children.
