As someone who isnt strong enough to watch true crime stories, i went into this, expecting to be peeking harried. But this book gave me the chills and i am definitely glad i read it!

This really is a wild ride through the mean streets of worldwide crime writing. The sub genres are varied and nicely balanced, and the focus on authors and characters of colour is refreshing. My only disappointment is that I hoped to see some works in translation - but I suppose the boundaries had to be drawn somewhere, or the book would be unending.

This was such an interesting and unique read. It is a short story collection where each story involves a different crime. I couldnt put it down it was gripping and all the countries added an extra depth to the stories. I really enjoyed it.
