Great writing, great characters I fell in love with this book from the opening pages.
No spoilers...just read it! Told in a mix of emails and script this book was easy to read and intriguing enough that I just had to keep reading it. Read cover to cover in 24 hours this is one of those books you miss when you've finished reading it. I've not come across the author before but I've already started reading another one of her novels.
My thanks to HarperCollins and NetGalley for the review copy, I was under no obligation and all opinions expressed are my own.

I loved the premise of this book and was hooked for the first half but then it sadly seemed to drag after reaching 50%. The concept is clever though, a romcom with a 'twist', which meant that it was "Impossible" for the characters to be together. The twist was good!
I really enjoyed the email format in part 1 and also how each chapter flipped between the main two characters POV, usually leaving you with a little cliffhanger. Overall I just wish it would have been shorter in length and less drawn out in the second half.

This isn't a love story. This is Impossible.
When Bee receives a very expletive angry email sent to her by mistake, the last thing she expects is to end up talking to the mystery sender every day. She doesn't expect him to be so funny, to trust him, and she definitely didn't expect to fall for someone over gmail.
When Nick sends a threatening email to the wrong person, he doesn't know he's about to fall in love. But despite how perfect his new penpal seems, something doesn't quite add up. She doesn't know there's 22 platforms at Euston station, despite living nearby. She keeps saying pounds instead of euros. She has no idea who his favourite actors are. And when it's finally time to meet up … they realise their relationship isn't just complicated - it's impossible.
Impossible is a love story unlike any other you'll ever read - gripping, beautiful and sure to stay in your head for quite some time. You'll fall in love with Bee and Nick right away, their bond formed to naturally right in front of our eyes, instant chemistry that translated even over emails and left my cheeks hurting from smiling so hard.
Now, you'd expect a story that is told largely through messages to be slow and quiet, but this was anything but - flirty and fun, but brimming with adventure and intrigue. With crazy occurrences and scientific anomalies throwing curveballs at everything - with a quirky unique charm that is so individual and totally exciting.
Electrifying and alluring all the way to the heartbreakingly epic denouement - this story is impossible to put down.

I was lucky enough to be given this book to read. I have to admit, I don’t think it was a book I would have chosen myself but I’m SO glad I did read it! It’s been classed in the fantasy genre, and I think that’s what put me off, but honestly take no notice of that! Whilst it’s got a little bit of timey-wimey “sciencey” stuff in it, in the end it’s really just a wonderful love story! Nick and Bee meet over a wrongly addressed email. They’ve both come out of failed relationships and after becoming friendly over various messages, they arrange to meet. That’s when the story changes, and oh my goodness, what a twist in the tale it was!
The twist was great and completely unexpected! Whilst the storyline could have been really complicated, the author has written it in such a way that even a self-confessed science dunce like myself understood it all! It’s told from the perspectives of both Nick and Bee and is written by ways of their stories and their email messages. I really liked them both and their storylines made me laugh and pulled at my heartstrings in equal measures. Their relationship is, as the title says, impossible, but I found myself wondering all the way through if there was any way that it might not be.
I loved the book, pre-twist, and found myself really hooked into it. Once I reached that pivotal point in the storyline, I couldn’t put it down and found myself feeling every little emotion at the same time as Nick and Bee! This wasn’t really my genre of book, and I definitely wouldn’t have chosen it to read myself, but it just goes to show that you should try something new every now and then! I feel completely head over heels with this story and was genuinely sad to have finished it. A beautiful love story, cleverly written with lots of love and laughs. Would highly recommend! Fab, fab, fab!!!

Thank you for the advanced copy.
I was drawn to this purely by the cover and it was a really good choice.
I thoroughly enjoyed this, two great characters, a well written storyline with lots of twists that kept me reading from start to finish
A must read

Impossible
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nick: Failed writer. Failed husband. Dog owner.
Bee: Serial dater. Dress maker. Pringles enthusiast.
One day, their paths cross over a misdirected email. The connection is instant, electric. They feel like they’ve known each other all their lives.
Nick buys a new suit, gets on a train. Bee steps away from her desk, sets off to meet him under the clock at Euston station.
Think you know how the rest of the story goes? They did too . . .
But this is a story with more twists than most. This is Impossible.
I went into this blind and would suggest you do the same, so don’t want to say too much and give away any spoilers but thought this was a really original and unexpected read.
The two main characters are very likeable so you find yourself rooting for them right from the beginning. I really enjoyed the witty banter that passed between them in their emails to each other and could totally feel the chemistry building.
