Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for this advanced copy of the latest Kim Stone book.. If you thought the series couldn't get any better then be prepared for another thrilling case for DI Kim Stone and her team. Not content with searching for a missing child she has to also deal with her welcome return of the scheming old foe Dr Alexander Thorne. The story races along at some speed and keeps you guessing all the way to the final chapters. Well done Angela Marsons, can't wait for the next instalment..

Another exceptional book by Angela Marsons. This series is just amazing, each book as good as the last which is some feat considering its book 15 in the series. It grips from the first page and doesn't let go. I love catching up with Kim and the team, it feels like catching up with old friends. Can't wait for the next book. If you have never read any of this series then do it now, you won't be disappointed.

I know a great book when I feel the characters are real and at the end I wonder what they're all doing now!
I pick up another Kim Stone and easily fall back into it as they are all brilliant characters and so familiar
Kim is up against it to find a missing girl, the kidnapper however is there at the station wanting her to play his games, Bryant keeping her in line, Stacey and Penn working hard trying to find the missing girl, Alison helping figure out the kidnappers motives from watching him being interviewed.
Not forgetting Alex in prison still trying to control Kim
I finish every book eagerly awaiting the next!!

I received this arc through net galley and the publishers.

I immediately started it as I couldn’t wait to catch up with Kim stone and her team again.

Angela has done it again, another book I didn’t want to end and eagerly anticipating the next one. If there were 100 books in the series I would read every one.

A fantastic read for all old and new Angela marsons readers, if this is the first one you have read I urge you to read from the start, you won’t be disappointed.

Whoa! This was such a page-turner and with such a unique plot. When I read the book description I didn't know how Marsons was going pull this one off. A case hinging on a bunch of interrogating? But it was so much more than that, and I enjoyed getting know Kim Stone better. I admit that I've only read a couple in the series, but I will definitely be looking for the next one. It was also very discernable that Marsons would had a lot of research to do to get this right.

Highly recommend to fans of crime fiction.

Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley and the author for an advanced copy of this book

Thank you once again to NetGalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read the fifteenth instalment in the Detective Kim Stone series of thrillers. I cannot believe it's now 15 books in this series - and I've read and enjoyed every single one of them.

Melody Jones went missing twenty-five years ago, and has never been found; and now another little girl has been taken - Grace Lennard. And Kim and her team - Bryant, Tracey, Penn and consultant Allison - must find her; but it means playing the twisted mind games of a very rich, influential man who actually comes to the station to give evidence!

And speaking of twisted, Dr. Alexandra Thorne is about to be up for parole and wants Kim to help her achieve this - in return for some information about her childhood that she thinks Kim would do anything for. But will she? Of course, Alex has other irons in the fire and her twisted plans just might get her out.

Meanwhile, in the search for the missing Grace, the team discovers a disturbing situation - other girls have gone missing in the years since Melody Jones, and some were returned some not. And then bodies begin turning up! The solution to these crimes may give Kim and her team (and the detective who still blames himself for not finding Melody) the answers they've all been looking for.

I've said this before, and I'll no doubts say it again - this is one of the best of the series. Angela Marsons knows her characters inside out and she knows just how to wring the most suspense out of the story.

Highly recommended, but you really should read the other books to truly understand.

Stolen Ones by Angela Marsons is book 15 in the Detective Kim Stone crime thriller series. This is an incredible achievement by the author Angela Marsons, especially as each book in the series is completely different from the one before. This latest in the series has the team working to find a kidnapped young girl, whom has been taken because the kidnapper mistakenly thinks her mother has been physically abusing her.
Then it appears there have been other girls missing throughout the years. Is the man who appeared at the police station a kidnapper and a murderer?
I enjoyed the plot twists and turns and the re-introduction of Alexandra Thorne again into the storyline and cannot wait for the next twisted plot in the series.
Highly recommended

Stolen Ones begins with the kidnap of eight year old Grace from a child daycare centre, seemingly vanishing into thin air with no clue to who could of abducted her.
D. I. Kim Stone and her team know that every second counts if they are to have any chance of finding Grace. Just prior to to this abduction Steve Harte arrived at the police station wanting to speak to Kim. He tells her he has information on missing girls starting from 25 years previously and hints there will be another. With the news about Grace Kim is convinced Harte is playing her and is probably the kidnapper but there is no evidence and he’s a very intelligent crafty character.
Meanwhile from prison Kim’s nemesis Psychiatrist Dr Alex Thorn is plotting her revenge on Kim and to do so is starting a campaign to ensure she gets paroled and released.
As usual with this series of books the team continues to work well together and individually, we don’t have quite as much of their personal lives this time as there is so much more going on. Information on other abductions are found and all apparently linked and actioned by the same person.
With many twists turns and revelations this is a compelling and page turning book and as usual in this series the author has written a brilliant crime thriller. With an ending that is satisfying in one respect and heart pounding in another!
My thanks to net galley and Publisher for the opportunity to review this book honestly.

Number 15 in the Kim Stone series and it’s another belter of a great read
It’s so lovely to be back in Kim’s world, it’s genuinely feels like catching up with whats been happening in old friends live’s. When I look back on the last 14 books the main thing that stands out for me is that the character developments have been brilliant.
A very good fast paced main plot with a brilliant twist and I loved the mentions of real events too, which add to the believability of the plot and characters. A nice ending that promises more fun and games for Kim from an old adversary has already whetted my appetite for number 16.

Wow, I can hardly believe this is Kim Stone book 15. I read the first one just after it was published and I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every one. This, however is one deserving of 6 stars if we could award that many. I found Steven Harte fascinating, there were so many facets to his character but who was the real man. I always enjoy a book that shows the detectives working on more than one case. For example they had both a 25 year old cold case being looked at again alongside the disappearance of a little girl. Then, of course, there was the sub plot featuring the psychotic Alexandra Thorne, who even in prison manages to get under Kim's skin. Incidentally for anyone new to the series, each book can be read as a stand alone as the author never gives away the plot of the previous book. I almost wish I was just discovering the series for the first time.

I absolutely loved this book. I worry that a long series of books means storylines being rehashed but this book definitely didn't do that. A great story line that pulls you in straight away and doesn't let you go until the last page. The characters are like old friends and it's great to see them developing more in each book. Angela Marsons just writes great books and this one is one of her best yet in my opinion. Cannot wait for the next one.

Stolen Ones by Angela Marsons

I love Kim Stone as a character and await every new book with bated breath.
As a detective , she is also a flawed woman and I really like that about her.
Great plot , it went down many avenues and kept me thinking right to the exciting end ..

Hard to believe I have just read the 15th book in the DI Kim Stone series by author Angela Marsons. This is such a good series, great plots, likeable characters and so well written. These novels are addictive and so difficult to put down once you start reading and most times I read them in one sitting, such is the pull.

Steven Harte walks into Halesowen police station and confesses to having information on the case of Melody Jones who went missing from a playground exactly twenty five years ago. Only a matter of hours later eight year old Grace Lennard disappears from her childcare centre in similar circumstances. Detective Kim Stone has great reservations regarding the information and fears there may be something far more sinister concerning Steven Harte.

DI Stone attends the scene of Grace’s disappearance and discovers heart bracelet that belonged to Melody. Kim is forced to play a game of cat and mouse with Steven Harte if she is to have any hope of finding Grace alive. Kim faces a race against the clock to uncover the truth in what is to prove a very difficult case. Kim and her team soon link Steven to the abduction of several vulnerable girls, two were kept for a year and then released, unharmed.

I really enjoy this series and still can’t believe I have read fifteen books already. I must be the only reader who doesn’t enjoy the addition of Kim’s nemeses psychopath Dr Alex Thorne. I personally don’t need the extra plot to satisfy my enjoyment of these books.

I would like to thank both Netgalley and Bookouture for supplying a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

As a huge Kim Stone lover I could not wait to dive straight into this and it’s safe to say that I was not disappointed.
This book felt somewhat different to me in the fact that it very much has a “cat and mouse” feel too it between Kim Stone and a new character, Steven Harte, and it also involved a lot of mind games in my opinion. The way the scenes had been written involving these 2 characters in particular were just brilliant in the fact that it was nail biting, tense and at times, extremely frustrating, which makes for brilliant reading.
I have to be careful so not to give anything away with the outcome of this book, but I will just say that this is so well thought out and clever in how it has been executed.
Fabulous to have Dr Alex Thorne back as she’s such a brilliant character!
A very easy 5 stars from me.

I would like to thank the author, the publisher and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of this book. As always the book was brilliant, drawing you in from the first page and holding you there until finished, as I have said before these books just get better and better.

Every time a new Kim Stone book lands on my kindle everything else is abandoned until I turn the last page; they're the highlights of my reading year and Marsons never disappoints.
This time Kim and the team are faced with a case like no other, twisted and complex in every respect while in the background Alex Thorne continues to be a puppet master playing her own games.
The only negative to this book is a general bugbear; the last page is only 91% of the book with the remainder being marketing material so my kindle estimates the time left to read and I settle down for what I think is an hour only to discover that the end of the actual book is only 20 minutes away. As a reader I'm left feeling really short changed by that!

25 years ago, a girl was taken... and now another has been taken. Steven Harte visits the police station and suggests that he has information about the kidnapping that took place all those years ago, and it seems like he might know something about the present kidnapping too. Detective Kim Stone isn't sure whether to believe Steven or not but must do everything she can to find out the truth. Especially when small bones are found... Meanwhile, Dr Alex Thorne is still causing trouble for Kim behind bars...

Another brilliant Kim Stone novel. The plot is exciting and thrilling, and as usual it is great to catch up on the latest from Kim and her team. Recommended!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of the book in return for my honest feedback.

OMG where on earth am I meant to be able to start with this. There is just so so much I could comment on but at the same time don't want to give anything away.

This was an utterly fascinating case for Kim Stone and her team to attempt to solve, with someone walking into the station to hint at their involvement in some cold cases completely voluntarily.

But for the life of me I couldn't work out what on earth would be the motivation for anything, although of course by the end of the book it did all make sense.

I mean I even with the revelation of one piece of info came up with the most outlandish theory that I kind of wish was the truth, purely as I would have loved to see it unfold, but I was completely and utterly wrong and probably thankfully as the truth was just as impressive.

And there is a live missing child case as well which appears to be connected with these rather fascinating cold cases and to add a sense of urgency to solving everything.

Ah the blurb mentions Alex, so I'd just like to say if you haven't read the previous Kim Stone books that feature her nemesis Dr Alex Thorne, then you are missing out, and if you have, then her re-appearance in this book, still as evil as always will be a great delight. And omg once again what a nasty piece of work she is, I kind of love it.

This book was everything I wanted it to be and more. It was another crime writing masterpiece from Angela Marsons, and I'm already impatiently waiting for book 16, I just can't get enough of this series. Full of so much great police work, and some potentially rather intriguing places for Kim's personal story to go, this is the series that keeps on giving.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

The many fans of Angela Marsons' excellent Kim Stone series have been spoiled since the first one was published in 2015 with new stories since then appearing at the rate of 2 or 3 per per year.
The latest episode from the prolific Ms Marsons is "Stolen Ones" with, as ever, a dark and disturbing storyline, plenty of tension, some killer twists and one of Stone's deadliest foes making an appearance and nicely teeing up the next episode.

The story begins with Steven Harte walking into Halesowen Police Station claiming to know what happened to Melody Jones,a young girl who was abducted 25 years earlier. Convinced that Harte is yet another crank until he appears to predict the disappearance of another young girl Stone finds herself fighting against the clock to discover the truth. Harte treats the whole situation almost as a game, and his interrogation plays as big a part in this book as Stone's Team's frantic efforts to find the latest missing girl with no help from him..

I've been reading this series since the first one back in 2015 and seen Angela Marsons' rise from a decent first time author to deservedly becoming one of the big names as her books have got better and better. This is the best so far and something a bit different with the feisty and volatile Stone battling across the interview table with an arrogant ,cool and very intelligent opponent who knows what buttons to push.
Another big hit for Angela Marsons.
