A missing girl in the present, a missing girl from the past and a man who claims he knows what happened to the girls. The description of the book is intriguing and I was captivated by the plot from the beginning. It is a fast-paced story with a few twists and turns.

Kim was as tough as ever and she and her team always work great together. Despite her old nemesis Alex Thorne trying to mess with her head (as usual), she led a great investigation.
Kim and Alex Thorne are strong opponents, and their conversations are always brilliant. For sure Kim hasn’t seen the last of Alex, I am looking forward for their future confrontations.

I seriously did not see the twist in the end coming at all, while it was surprising, it rounded out the book nicely.
in summary, a really strong continuation of the series and I highly recommend this book. Kim Stone continues to be one of my favorite characters and I can’t wait for book 16!

I would like to thank NetGalley, Bookouture and the author Angela Marsons for supplying a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

Wow. What a way to start a book. The tension and intrigue was sky high from the start. I was totally hooked and by chapter 4 I knew this book would be read in one sitting.

Kim Stone is one of my favourite literary characters. She's sassy, says it like it is and pulls no punches. She does what needs to be done and she's not afraid of stepping on anyone's toes. Just as well she has Bryant to rein her in a bit.

There was plenty of twists to keep you guessing and an ending I did not see coming! Absolutely brilliant.

Number 15 in the Detective Kim Stone series and what a gripping read it is.
This one has two story lines, one, the disappearance of pretty young girls returned safely after a year....until they weren`t.
The other involving Dr Alexandra Thorpe and the mind games shes playing from prison.
As usual a very clever plot, great characters, unexpected twists and an ending I did not see coming.
Absolutely loved it!
No spoilers, read it for yourself you won`t be disappointed.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read this as an ARC.

Having loved this series, book 14 was the weakest in the series for me and I was slightly apprehensive going into this one.

Book 15 thankfully sees the high standard of writing and storytelling back as Kim and the team are involved in a missing child case which seems to link to legacy missing girls cases from decades ago, some which ended in murder.

It’s hard to go into detail on the story without involving possible spoilers but, if you are a Kim Stone fan you would probably want to go into this blind and enjoy the ride.

I will say there are some old characters from previous books back on the scene and it really adds meat to the bone of the story.

This series really is character driven as the storytelling at this stage is a little formulaic(not a criticism)so the characters need to carry the book. You need to care about them and they are all so well defined at this stage you really do care and also enjoy spending time with them.

Not really a stand alone as there is a lot of reference to previous novels, it’s great to see Marsons back on form after the misstep of book 14. Kim Stone remains one of the better character led police procedurals and Stolen Ones is an excellent addition to the series.

Thanks to the publisher for the ARC through Netgalley.

Another rollercoaster ride of a book. Love the Kim Stone novels. Very well written and paced. Plenty of suspense to keep me enthralled. Look forward to the next instalment. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Well shes done it again. The latest installment to the Kim Stone series is just as great and addictive as all the others. I liked the fact that Kim is becoming a tiny bit more human in each book but still manages to remain standoffish and abrupt.

I’ve been a big fan of the Kim Stone series since the beginning. And once again, it’s a compelling mystery. But I will admit to getting a weensy but tired of the Alexandra Thorpe mastermind aspect of the series.
This time, an eight year old goes missing from her child care center. A man walks into the police station, saying he has information, but will only give it on his own terms. And then he proceeds to tell Kim about a missing girl from 25 years earlier. I really enjoyed this cat and mouse game, with Kim receiving help from Alison on how to read body language and other psychological tells. The ending was a big plot twist I never saw coming and really enjoyed.
But the Alex theme? Nope, I’m totally over it. But it doesn’t look like Marson is.
This is a well done police procedural, heavy on the team dynamics. The book could work as a stand-alone but I don’t recommend it, as readers will miss out on meaningful parts of Kim’s backstory.
My thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for an advance copy of this book.

I just cannot recommend this author, and in particular this series of books enough.
In the 15th book in the series, we find Kim Stone and her team investigating the disappearance of a little girl that is seemingly linked to a similar disappearance 25 years ago.
As ever, the author keeps you on the edge of your seat, savouring her written word. This is definitely one of my favourites in the series.
I would like to thank NetGalley, the publisher and of course the marvellous Angela Marsons for allowing me to read this advance reading copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

The story is woven around the disappearance of an eight year old child, Grace Lennard. It is twenty five years since seven year old Melody Jones went missing, never to be found again. Kim and her team pull out all the stops to ensure that Grace Lennard will not suffer the same fate. This book had less interaction between Kim and her team, but it was great to catch up on what had been happening in their lives.Another entertaining easy read from one of my go to authors. I’m sure fans of the series won’t be disappointed.

Thanks as always to NetGalley and Bookouture for my advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

Another brilliant book in the Kim Stone series.
I love all the characters in these books and in this one we’ve got the evil Alexandra Thorne back.
Kim and the team have their hands full trying to find a young girl who has been abducted and then the bones of another child are found.
A man comes to the station and will only speak to Kim about the missing girls. Kim dismisses him at first but then realises he could know more than he’s letting on.
With Allison helping them, the team start to understand this man, but Kim just needs to get the evidence to prove his guilt.
This is a gripping crime thriller that will definitely have you hooked.
If you’ve not started this series yet - I’d highly recommend it.
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

Another five star read in this fabulous series - you would expect that by book 15 the characters and storyline might be getting a little stale but it actually feels like they are just warming up! I sense another fiery instalment is on its way and for me it can't come quick enough!

I love this series, and look forward to each new book. This one did not disappoint ,it was a cracker from the first page to the last. I love the pace of the books, the humour, the locations, because they are familiar to me, and the plot was a page turner that kept me guessing. I really enjoyed reading it. Another 5 star read from Ms Marsons..

Stolen Ones is the 15th Kim Stone Novel and yet another incredible read. This series just gets better and better, the characters feel like old friends and as I sat down to read this it just felt like I was in the Police Station alongside the team working on the case. It’s the 25 year anniversary of the abduction of Melody Jones and the news papers are once again highlighting this tragic tale of an eight year old’s abduction, no one was arrested and Melody has never been found. As is usual when something appears in the news paper the local police station is inundated with individuals who want to confess, time wasters who enjoy their 5 minutes of fame. So one morning when yet another man appears who has information to impart it’s D I Kim Stone’s turn to go and speak to them. Only Stephen Harte seems different and just as he hints another child is reported missing, possibly abducted and suddenly this confessor may actually know something. If this weren’t enough Alex Thorne has been in touch from prison and she’s got information to share with Kim, but it comes with a price tag.

Once again and incredible read by this wonderful author. Suffice to say I cannot wait for the next instalment.

Kim Stone is back in book 15 of this superb series of books. The usual team are back Stacey,Bryant and Penn to track down a kidnapper who originally kidnapped little girls and then returned them after a year. The team are baffled when Steven Harte walks into the station and confesses he knows about the case, but they still need evidence to convict him and the clock is ticking because another girl has been snatched and this time it may lead to murder as Kim is uncovering more bones of previous victims after the kidnapper turned to murder instead of returning the victims. As always Angela Marsons has come up with a great read again and with the added bonus of Kim’s old adversary Alexandra Thorne making a welcome return it all makes for a superb read once again from Angela Marsons,it can be read as a standalone novel but why would you not want to start at book 1 ? I can’t recommend this series of books highly enough to anyone who enjoys this genre.Yet another excellent 5 star read.

Absolutely fantastic, as always!!

I love Angela Marsons and I love Kim Stone and her team just as much.

I was gripped from the very beginning.

This book can be read as a stand alone but don’t do yourself an injustice, start at the beginning of the series, you won’t be disappointed

This book comes with a twist that will make your jaw drop, I thought I’d worked it out…..I couldn’t have been more wrong!

Amazing!!

Yay!! Kim, Bryant and the team are back!! This wonderful book kept me going during a horrible stay in hospital, it couldn't have come at a better time! Plus our favourite love to hate psycho is back on the scene, plotting and scheming as ever, trying to mess with Kim's head.
As always, Angela is on form, with characters we've come to know and love, and a wicked plot. I think Netgalley should change their rating system so I could give this 25 stars!
#StolenOnes is an absolutely enthralling story which will suck you in and keep you hooked!!

I am not sure anyone can beat the combination of Angela Marsons and Kim Stone. In fact, I am wondering if Angie is my favourite author of all times. She most definitely is in the top three! I am always eagerly waiting for the next installment in the Kim Stone series. Nowadays I am holding my breath, thinking that there is no way anyone, not even Angie, can write a better book than the previous one in the series.

Then I read it. Then I want to punish myself for even thinking that she could never do it again. I should not question this. I know she is the superb overlord of detective series. Usually when you get to book 15 in a series, it has lost its appeal. Not this one. I am almost embarrassed that I sound like a groupie.

What always draws me in is when the protagonists all time nemesis is part of the book. In this case she is! Dr Alex Thorne is ready to strike again, and it will not end nicely. She is the most evil human being, and she has her eyes set on Kim. Kim cannot help but yield.

The story is as great as always. Several young girls have been missing, and a man seems to be playing a game with the police. He claims he knows things about some of the girls. He is calm and collected, but clearly playing a game. He is a tricky character to figure out.

To sum up: love, Love, LOVE! The master of detective series is back, stronger than ever! My mind was blown, and I am not sure I have gotten over this book yet. Terrifyingly beautiful! I could not put it down, so I had to read it in one sitting. When I have the latest Kim Stone book in my hands, it is impossible to connect with me in any way. I am lost to this world. Simply perfect!

Angela Marsons Kim Stonebooks are never straightforward - and that doesn't include the overarching contest between herself and Alexandra Thorne. This one is no different. Convoluted and thrilling.

Loved it - so much that I kept missing bits of conversations with guests because I couldn't wait to get back to it.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher I read a free advance review copy of the book. This review is voluntary, honest and my own opinion.

Wow, each time I come to write a review of one of Angela Marson's Kim Stone crime reads, I start with the words, even better than the previous books - 14 times I have written these words and appreciate that it may seem lazy, but as always it is my overriding thought.

Stolen Ones was consumed as I tried to work out why on earth a man would walk into Kim Stone's station with news of a 25 year old abduction of a young girl. As always any of my guesses fell woefully short of the clever plot that the author has devised. If that weren't enough we have the reappearance of Kim's nemesis, Alexandra Thorne, in an intriguing sub-plot set in prison.

As always we have fab characters, both good guys and villains, as well as superb plotting, true to life dialogue and satisfying denoument.

I really can't recommend this series highly enough!
