This was a fun holiday cozy. I had a little trouble keeping all the characters straight, maybe just because I haven’t read the previous stories in this series. There were plenty of plot twists to keep the reader guessing. Overall, I enjoyed this read.

I love Christmas cozy mysteries and As the Cookie Crumbles contains everything that makes a cozy mystery "hard to put down."
Erin is a good character who is busy planning her Christmas wedding and getting her store, The Merc, decorated for the holidays.
When the body of a young woman is found, Erin is heartbroken to hear she was murdered. Worse yet, the young woman was shunned by her parents and had come home to beg their forgiveness.
Erin refuses to let the culprit go free, so she starts asking questions, which puts a target on her back.

I loved everything about this book and would highly recommend it to any cozy mystery lover.

Thank you #Netgalley for the advance reader copy of As the Christmas Cookie Crumbles by Leslie Budewitz in exchange for an honest review. Erin Murphy is manager of Murphy's Glacier Mercantile. Adam is her finance. They are decorating the "Merc" for Christmas. It is in Jewel Bay, Montana. A local girl, who had been in jail after highschool, is found dead. Erin gets involved, even though she is getting married in 2 1/2 weeks.
What an exciting story. I will have to find other stories by Leslie Budewitz. The recipe at the end sounded tasty.

This the 5th book in the Food Lovers series, set in the Mercantile in Jewel Bay, Montana at Christmas time. I didn’t realize that the 11/9/21 publication date was a rerelease but i liked reading it again! I have some Christmas books that I reread to get into the holiday spirit, and this book goes on that list.
I loved the other books in the series, and this book was just as good as the others.
Erin, the main character, owns The Mercantile, a store in a small town in Montana. She’s busy getting the Merc ready for Christmas, and planning her wedding to her fiancé Adam at the same time. Unfortunately, as Erin tends to do, she gets involved in a murder investigation that threatens to derail all her holiday plans and her wedding.

I highly recommend this book. The plot is interesting, I love the characters, and I like the small town setting. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

When a young woman who has returned home is found murdered Erin is determined to solve the crime. I really enjoy the characters and the small town setting. The author does a very good job with the Christmas setting. Reading this story made me want to bake Christmas Cookies. The mystery was good and the who did it was a surprise. Enjoy this Christmas Cozy

The fifth book in author Leslie Budewtiz's Food Lover Village Mysteries, As the Christmas Cookie Crumbles, is a fascinating cozy mystery with realistic characters who are very likable. The storyline flows well and I enjoyed all the Christmas happenings in Jewel Bay. I really enjoyed following along as amateur sleuth Erin Murphy collected the clues that helped solve the murder mystery. This story doesn't only end with the murder solved but it also tickled my heart with the happy ending.

I love every book that Leslie Budewitz has ever written and this one is no exception. I feel like I’ve been back for a visit to my good friends in Jewel Bay. This whole series is fun and light hearted and have really good mysteries- this latest book is no exception. I hope she writes more of Food Village Lovers mysteries because I can’t get enough of these characters!

Erin Murphy is all about giving people a second chance in this 5th installment in this series. Many years ago in Jewel Bay, Merrily Thornton was accused of stealing and sent to prison. She served her time and now she is back in town. Not everyone is happy about that including her own family. Her own Mother disowns her publicly and then she is accused of stealing again from her new job. She is first missing and then found dead. Erin has her hands full getting ready for her Christmas Eve wedding to Adam but feels Merrily deserves justice so she sets up to solve both the murder and the embezzlement. This was a great addition to this series. The characters are relatable and I just love the setting at Christmas time.
