Craig GrImes A DISTANT MOUNTAIN is like no other story I've ever read. Set in the Valley of Mexico in the fourteenth century, the story of individuals with diametrically opposed missions and philosophies clashing with results that resonate to our current period. Grimes brought to life a culture and period of time that I knew nothing about -- and made it fascinating, gripping, and immediate. My favorite aspect of the book was how it was based on true events, but was presented in an entertaining way. I received an advance copy of this novel and my opinions are entirely my own, unbiased and true.
