I love being given the opportunity to update our school library which is a unique space for both senior students and staff to access high quality literature. This is definitely a must-buy. It kept me absolutely gripped from cover to cover and is exactly the kind of read that just flies off the shelves. It has exactly the right combination of credible characters and a compelling plot thatI just could not put down. This is a great read that I couldn't stop thinking about and it made for a hugely satisfying read. I'm definitely going to order a copy and think it will immediately become a popular addition to our fiction shelves. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.

An MP and her daughter share the narration alongside a couple of other characters. This keeps the meme Tim going and frankly I think I preferred this to her previous number 1 best seller‘Anatomy of a Scandal’ and that was fabulous too.

I would be more than happy to re-read and review if a download becomes available. Thank you Simon & Schuster and NetGalley and sorry I took so long to read this - should have done it sooner!

A brilliantly exciting thriller which was well written and with a great storyline and characters.

More, I need more.

Such an important subject and fantastically done, I was gripped from the first page and really didn't know what to expect.

Reputation is another fantastic crime thriller from Sarah Vaughan. Emma Webster is an MP, championing women’s rights and fighting for a change in the law that sees revenge porn punished more severely. She is divorced with a teenage daughter and works hard. Unfortunately, her reputation is under threat after an out of character act by her daughter, secrets from her past and a serious incident in her London home.
This is a brilliantly written book with well developed characters and a storyline that does not reveal all until the very end. Everyone seemed suspicious at one point and even when I thought I had worked it all out there was more to come. Brilliant!

Another pacy and exciting thriller from Vaughn. The world she creates feels real and the stakes always feel high. Not quite as immersive as her debut but still an engaging read. Her prose is confident and flows well, which makes the experience all the better.

This was a very good read. I really enjoyed it.

I found Emma to be an interesting character, although reading about some of the awful stuff she had to put up with as a politician makes me wonder why on earth anyone would want to be one! I know it's just fiction in this case, but honestly some of the abuse was vile.

It was a very gripping read and I probably would have read it in one go if I'd had a physical copy of the book.

Thank you to NetGalley, Sarah and publishers Simon and Schuster UK for the chance to read this book.

You will not read a better thriller this year! Very well written, well plotted and very realistic. No waffle. The title is so significant. Every character's reputation is on the line. Emma, the female MP protagonist, Flora, her daughter, Mike, the tabloid reporter, and others, including the lawyers ... What really happened on 8th December? A brilliant court case unfolds with so much drama and tension. This story was so vivid, you are transported into it. This will make a brilliant film or TV show, but read the book first as it will not disappoint. Many thanks to NetGaley and the publisher for the Advanced Reader Copy.

I absolutely love a courtroom drama and this author creates the scene perfectly, with a palpable tension throughout. I was intrigued and kept changing my kind about what I thought. I loved the ending and the outcome and thought the characters were very well written.

'Reputation' is the perfect title for this book, as it delves into the various aspects of our public versus private personas and the ways in which people make judgments. What I particularly love about this book is the way that Sarah Vaughan forces us to confront, and consider, an issue from all angles. Aside from providing an accurate portrayal of a British Court case, Vaughan shines some much-needed focus on a current and pressing issue concerning digital media. And what better way to explore, and make this accessible to all, than through fiction? 'Reputation' is a brilliantly conceived piece of work, beautifully executed.

Another incisive and timely thriller from Vaughan, covering the challenges of social media, mobile phone usage - and teenagers - in a world where reputation of politicians and plebs a like is equally important.

A powerful book about the pressures women face, particularly in public life. Engrossing, thought-provoking and urgent, this story was as compelling as it was important.

Reputation is so aptly titled, dealing as it does, with the reputation of so many of the characters. Emma is an MP very much in the public eye. Her life is full on as she deals with the politics of everyday life as well as the big picture stuff. When things go wrong for her as a result of her daughter’s impetuous actions, she learns how valuable her reputation is to her. The ensuing court battle is gripping and gritty.

As for the twists and turns towards the end, I really couldn’t put it down. Highly recommended.

My thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book.

4.5⭐️ This was an absolutely brilliant book! I raced through it and couldn't put it down! So exciting and gripping, full of court and family drama....emotional and heartwrenching. Characters were all brilliant, storyline ace and superbly written. Can't wait to read more from Sarah Vaughn :)

I could see what Vaughan was going for here but the novel just had too many plot holes and an over-reliance on cliche. It's not my type of book.

Such a gripping read from Sarah Vaughan. I was invested from the first page and I could envision Emma very clearly; this story is so chillingly believable and current,
Sarah Vaughan dealt deftly and accurately with many of the current issues our female politicians are dealing with on a daily basis. She gave great insight into what a 'day in the life' must be like.
The storylines were drawn wonderfully; the tension building throughout and the depths of emotions that the characters were experiencing were depicted in a captivating manner.
An excellent read, I would thoroughly recommend and I could most definitely see this excellent drama being made into a mini series that I would most definitely watch.

It’s hard to ignore naughty politicians recently, their behaviour and actions have been all over the media and you would have to live under a rock, with no WiFi to not be aware of the controversary and sleaze in the House of Commons, so Reputation is a timely and topical story about one MP who gets caught up when her private life is thrust into the spotlight in the worst possible scenario.

Emma Webster is a respectable MP, a devoted mother and her star is shining brightly as a dedicated and outspoken back bencher. However, the brighter her star shines the more she is thrust into the public spotlight and becomes a victim of trolling and online abuse.

When one of Emma’s young constituents takes her own life due to a sexual revenge porn post on line, Emma lobbies tirelessly for new laws to protect the victims, however Emma’s teenage daughter makes a terrible spur of the moment decision which affects everyone involved and starts a devasting chain of events culminating in the “accidental” death of a man and Emma finds herself charged with murder.

I can openly admit that I don’t understand much about the inner workings of the House of Commons and politics doesn’t really interest me, however this story is so much more than a “political drama”. It’s about a women’s right to defend herself and her reputation, a mother’s right to protect herself and her daughter and shines a spotlight on the downsides of social media, the press and online bullying.

Reputation is a thought-provoking, topical and timely story about women in the public eye and some very important issues that need to be addressed.

This is a really gripping book, which was fascinating and educational in equal measures. A highly intelligent page-turner.
