I really enjoyed this book, it has believable characters and a great story.

It moved along at a great pace and I thought it was a page turner – it is a Mafia book at its best – action, romance, suspense – it had it all

A really good and exciting read.

It is 5 stars from me – very highly recommended!

There is just something about darker mafia enemies to lovers romances that have me in a chokehold and this is truly no different. I really liked Malcolm and I really liked Raylee, and I dont know what this says about me but I liked them even more together. I definitely think that at times events felt a little bit not equally paced, but even with that I still overall really enjoyed this installment and Brooke's writing style.

This is the 5th book in the series and about Denis’s (#4) son Malcolm who runs the family’s Irish mafia operation out of Spain. I liked Raylee a lot and she’s similar to Holly as a strong character with a softer touch than Kenna or Lissa. Although some things didn’t always make sense it flowed easily and kept me engaged. The story got a little tangled in its facts and I’m left confused about how bad the one bad guy really was in the end.

One thing that bugs me is how these books end with a major setup not for the next book but it turns out the one after that. So the last one #4 ended on a build up for Finn (#6) and I was surprised this was about Malcolm (#5). This one sets up Jade but she’s #7. I think having Denis’s story so early and learning about future character’s over-complicated this series. The continuity is frustrating with so many families and characters to keep straight. I would not say they’re stand-alone books but I’ve stayed committed and am still engaged as there’s enough variety and differences in the storytelling.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was an enjoyable fast paced book. Some of the decisions of the characters were questionable. However, it added tension to the story.

Thank you NetGalley for the eARC. I am so down for the love/hate relationships. It leads to really hot sexual tension! LOL! I need to go read the first few books here but this is good as a stand alone

I DNF this book after reaching 28%

The beginning honestly gripped me. Very good intro to the story, I liked the characters and the plot. There were some grammatical issues but I could look past that. What I couldn't look past were the cringey scenes between the MMC & FMC & plot needs to continue building.

Steamy scenes and building tension between characters needs to be written in a certain manner IMO.

I wholeheartedly believe that if these scenes were written better it would make this book a sizzling romance with a great plot.

I will not leave a review on goodreads because I don't want to lower the author's rating.

It felt rushed to me. That being said it was still a wonderful book. I think if you want a change in style and pace then read this story. It has heart breaking and sad moments. Everything is not so black and white. However, the best part is Raylee being a little firecracker.

Hateful Union is the 5th installment of the Made series. I didn't realize this was part of series when I requested a copy to review but I read it anyways. I found the drama throughout the book to be a tad overdramatic. I did like the characters. Maybe if I read the other books in this series I would have enjoyed it more but I'll need to read those soon before I completely forget this storyline. I would not recommend reading this one without reading the others in the series first.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I’m not sure why these books are not my favourite, but something is missing. But I still enjoy this series as I have now read 5,5 books and read them in a day. It is very action packed and it may be a little to much in one book. It feels like the author want as much action and fighting in each book as she can

This is a dark mafia enemies-to-lovers romance
Hating someone while lusting after them only adds fuel to the fire.
Raylee Silver’s life has been anything but normal.
She’s the daughter of a notorious gang leader. She never realised just how notorious he was.
Raylee’s world is thrust into chaos as she comes to terms with losing someone close to her as well as dealing with the revelations about her family.
Never did she expect to find a light in the darkness, especially someone she hates. But Malcolm Gallagher breaks down her resolve and has her wanting things she shouldn’t.
Malcolm Gallagher is out for revenge, he’s seen the evil that the Silver gang have wrought.
He has the perfect person to use to get what he wants. Raylee.
Except he was never meant to fall for her.
When things come to a head, Malcolm’s going all-in to protect the woman that he loves.
But what happens when her family finds out?
Can Malcolm save her before or will the Silver gang take yet another life?

Thank you NetGalley I can't wait to read the next Brooke Summers

Rylee and Mal are seriously explosive!
I loved the action-packed bad guy vs worse bad guy and Rylee is the causality of all this drama.
Another great book added to this really good Mafia series.
Recommend highly!

Hateful Union (Made #5) Brooke Summers
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another fabulous instalment in Brooke Summers Made Series.

Hateful Union is the fifth book in the Made series. It can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading the previous novels in the series so that the character development can be truly appreciated.

Raylee and Malcolm’s story was every bit as good as the previous stories but had its own unique characters and flow.

Malcolm and Raylee lives are intertwined with their family connections in the mafia life. Malcom leads on family while Raylee is the cherished daughter of another. Both characters are perfectly complex individuals with faults and preconceived biases but true to their backgrounds.

This has an enemies-to-lovers feel, but with difficult and complex side stories and plots making it thoroughly interesting. I also like that the secondary characters have their own stories, told within the timespan.

I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series!

4/5 stars
Tropes:
- Mafia
- Revenge
- Steamy

I really enjoyed Raylee and Malcom story. I absolutely love the chemistry between both of them. The only think I did not like was that the writing was a little confusing at the beginning and something in the epilogue annoyed me a little but overall it was a nice mafia read with lots of steam. Really easy to read. I hope we can get Bentley's book.

I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Hateful Union is the 5th installment of the Made series. After meeting Malcolm in the previous books, I was initially pretty excited to watch him fall in love. Then I met Raylee and eh - she was okay. A tad annoying and a little whiny in the beginning but she eventually became likable in my eyes. Eventually.

The drama throughout this book was a smidge overdramatic. The assumptions made and the slightly toxic relationship were also kind of hard to digest but I kept with the book. I mean, I really enjoy this series and the mafia families just keep growing. So it's a little weird to feel so annoyed with this one.

Even after the ending, it was cute but also rubbed me the wrong way a little bit. I'm definitely intrigued to see what is going to happen next. Especially since we've read about what happened to Destiny a couple of times. So, yeah, let's hope the next one is better.

Wow! Yet another riveting read for this series.

Malcom and Raylee’s story is a enemies to lovers, forbidden, dark Mafia romance. These two are from rival families, and were never meant to be together. The chemistry between them almost melted my kindle. Their attraction was instant and so HOT!

The question is will they have HEA? You will have to read to find out!

Loving this series. It’s going on my re-read pile as I don’t think I could ever say goodbye to all these characters.

This is Malcolm's and Raylee's story the fifth book in the series. Malcolm is the head of the Irish mafia in Spain, and Raylee is the daughter of Harry Silver, his last competitor, and rival family, and he is determined to use Raylee as a tool to exact revenge. Raylee is coming to terms with losing someone close to her, and when revelations about her family become known, she is in a quandary about how to deal with everything. Malcolm & Raylee should be mortal enemies, if only they can keep their hands off each other. There are so many obstacles between them, so many secrets which slowly unravel, and the story is pulled together beautifully.

2.5 stars

I wanted to love this book and I did until our Hero decided to do something unforgiving for me. After that I couldn't root for him and the heroine to be together because I couldn't see how she could forgive him.
I feel like this book, the plot got a bit convoluted and messy, that mixed with me not liking the hero made me not enjoy the romance.
Still I'm very excited about Finn's book. His book is the one I'm looking for the most.

This story was originally in the Hate to Want You enemies to lovers anthology (limited edition) but it’s expanded a bit. I love the Made series, and this is book number five. One of the things the author does well is manage the timelines, some of which cross other books in the series. This book focuses on Raylee and Malcolm, and the newly added prologue adds gruesome context. Raylee is the daughter of Harry Silver, who runs his business with his sons. Raylee knows the business is not legal & wants to steer clear of that life but still loves her family, especially her brother. Malcolm Gallagher’s family is always nearby and available when needed. They’re warmer & closer than Raylee’s family (I loved the scene with Makenna & Raylee!) and so protective of each other. Malcolm & Raylee should be mortal enemies, if only they can keep their hands off each other! There are so many obstacles between them, so many secrets which slowly unravel and the story is pulled together beautifully. Intense action, coupled with insta-lust and a slower burning love, make this a fantastic addition to the series.

I received a copy of this book. My honest opinion is voluntarily provided.

We meet Malcolm, who is in charge of the Irish in Spain and Raylee, daughter in Harry Silver Family in Spain. You get pieces of Malcolm through out the series which I love. You get to have glances at others stories before they come out and intertwine. Malcolm is set to take down the human trafficking's by the Silver Family and use Raylee to do this. Malcolm meets Raylee and his instincts kick in. Their instant chemistry and attraction is felt and plays through the ups and downs of being together. As always many things happen in different parts of the world through the other characters. Again I love how this intertwines and the continuation of stories. You will experience their love build and fight they have. I want to say so much more but it gives the story away! I can't wait for the next and the next!! Definitely a one click-buy as always!
