The book is a comprehensive manual that motivates you to take care of your heart and health if you haven’t already. Like many of us it was the devastating shock of a heart attack that triggered the author to focus on his health. This was at a time when the research about what works and what doesn’t was still at a nascent stage.

The author chronicles his own path from ignorance about his body and how he spent years of reading and research to understand how our body works. While the many doctors had given up hope and did not believe things could improve, the author with sheer determination and meaningful research found his own way to curing his heart health.

The book packs a lot of information about how exercise and food affects our body and what care you need to take. But above all, it motivates you to take your health in your own hands and move away from the couch and harmful foods.

The author points out that a bad heart not only affects you heart but also your mind. And with a strong mind-body connection, the two interact with each other in many ways. Just as your heart takes care of your brain, your mind and brain can also take care of your heart.

So join the author on this interesting though rocky path back to health and get motivated on the way.

Interesting concept. For me, a bit redundant to some of the other self-help and motivational books, bit perhaps I am the wrong audience. Not a bad read, so some readers may benefit.

The main premise of the book is that the heart and the brain are interconnected so we should treat brain health and heart health as tied together. The book combines science and practical guidance on simple lifestyle changes to achieve optimal health.

Excellent, clear guide on how to maximise your chances of reducing risk of Alzheimer’s or heart disease. Very impressive how one of the authors reversed his own heart disease. Nothing particularly new or startling, but a very easy to follow, clearly explained programme, including a very handy menu list at the back.

This is a brilliant book, explaining how the heart and brain are connected, by blood flow, and explaining how to modify one's lifestyle by gradually making changes including diet, exercise and sleep. A relatively new form of exercise concerning balance is explained in depth. I will read this again and again, I think it is so important that I will be guided by it. I would give it more stars if I could but I am limited to five. This is a book that makes a difference, and is highly recommended.
